“A David Chang restaurant in LA. I've been to his Momofuku restaurant in NYC and loved it so I naturally had to try Majordomo. You have to plan ahead to reserve the short rib special and it is amazing. They cut it tableside and serve it lettuce, kitchen, and radishes. Such a good balance of flavors but the prime rib by itself is very flavorful and smoky. The Bing is also a must with the cultured butter and honey. This is seriously addictive. We also had the mussels with the crispy rice which was also delicious.Overall, the vibe of the restaurants was great and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.“

I honestly didn’t have any expectations for an udon place because I’ve had udon at the Marugame Udon chain and expected something similar. Let me tell you that this place elevates their udon to the next level. The mentai udon was easily one of my favorite meals during my trip to LA. The sauce was creamy, savory, and sweet with the perfect balance. The umami from the mentai and shrimp complements the sauce so well. It wasn’t too rich and was just right. I slurped up all of the sauce it was that good. Highly recommend and would come back. Service was also very attentive and kind.“

He was able to make the food in a timely manner. I got the beef ribs and chicken adobo with a side of mushroom pasta and fries and cheese for me and my boyfriend. I honestly could eat the cheese and fries and mushroom pasta alone as they are wonderful complimentary dishes. I haven't found a place like this in a really long time. They do offer dine-in however I think the goal was to just order and eat in the comfort of your home. The menu is quite large and they have contactless ordering on their website as well which makes it super accessible!!! Slay.“

We've had Laotian food before as there are excellent ones in the SFV, but hands down this has to be the best by far. So far we've tried grilled beef plate w/ a side of papaya salad paired w/ chicken and sausage ala carte (instead of the plate) and they were all in scrumptious. “I dont want to be too critical - but to me this place was just ok.. i mean props on elevating , and putting a twist to Fil dishes. - but it was underwhelming, atleast for me. Ive had many filipino fusion, twist or watever u wanna call it. Iv had Kasama in Chicago, the first Filipino Michelin Star -- and maybe that was my standard... still good though , I wings sadly was my favorite.. kare kare was cool.. but more sauce and more bagoong wouldve been cool - but then again I think they played it safe - to cater to non Fils... now the Pancit Palabok - I dd not get the pasta filling -- it was shrimp supposedly - tasted more like a fish ball, meat ball texture.. it threw me of cus Palabok is mostly just noodles w sauce - and some shrimp if youre lucky , and chicharon.. it had a lil of palabok to it but again I didnt get the pasta filling -- Its a pop up vibe, it was dark like really dark, and was only 2 tables dining, it was also so the menu was super limited.. maybe il come for dinner next time.. but I saw the dinner prices , and its a lil too much , as people have said on yelp, so not sure if Il even go unless it comes about... give em a try , maybe Im just too bias cus of Kasama and also a yelper said, a non Filipino would enjoy it more -- server also gave us the wrong bill, not a big deal but considering there was only 2 tables there , it kinda messed up the vibe more lol .. but still 4 stars for support n the food wasnt bad so dont be discouraged.. check em out.“

“One of the most unique flavors in the area and done well! We've been here several times and recommend to friends visiting or anyone wanting to try something new.PARKING / ARRIVAL / VIBE:Two small lots are available for customers and street parking if those are full. When you walk in you see white cloth tables and some paper on top of those and pretty multicolored lighting, with TV screens and music playing traditional views and tunes. We arrived about an hour before closing (group of 5 on a Friday evening) and were seated promptly, and it was busy! We were there to chat and dine so got comfortable. Menu has traditional options, appetizers, entrees, vegetarian, desserts, and drinks (in particular they have traditional teas!).SERVICE:Our servers were friendly and efficient, making sure all is good, plates are cleared, all that good stuff with making you feel welcome!FOOD:Fresh and arrived as they are ready. The SHREDDED POTATO was excellent! Potato slivers soaked in flavor, not too spicy and just the right amount of tangy, so good. The large BONELESS BIG PLATE CHICKEN is indeed large and heaped in a mound of chicken and potato chunks atop large flat noodles with sauce; a staple order and the chicken toothsome and flavorful. The LAGHMAN hand pulled noodles with stir fried peppers and beef has a wonderful flavor and the noodles are very springy, you can even see the slight difference of thickness which proves they are hand pulled. the PEARLED NOODLES are kind of like a chopped version of the LAGHMAN - spoonfuls of beefy and chewy noodle goodness, kind of like a rich pasta dish! I would recommend all four of these dishes, they are the perfect size and amount for 5 people.Dessert: their BAKLAVA is one of the best I've had, lots of layers that shatter through to plenty of pistachio filling, nutty and not too sweet like a lot of other baklavas! Delicious end to a delicious meal :)So glad they're in the area and will always recommend this place to friends (or take them here!).“

It's a little expensive if you want just a little fish in addition to a veggie hot pot, and the music is *party* loud.. great for fun but could be difficult for some with older ears. We didn't try the sake but there looked to be a great selection.. maybe next time !Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian hot pot option, and a small selection of veggie starters, as well as some great glass noodle salad and plenty of other noodles to cook, but the selection could be a little bigger (albeit there aren't too many proteinaceous veggie options in Korean food!).“

“Happy Bee, Happy MeFormerly Rice on Dish, Happy Bee Kitchen has been on my weekly food rotation. Delicious Chinese food, served by friendly & caring staff who remembers their customers. As per usual, lunch specials are what I go for when it comes to Chinese food.Stir-fried beef w/ ginger & scallions-So tender! Beef, in all it's iterations, is my litmus test for a Chinese restaurant, and Happy Bee's stir-fried beef w/ ginger & scallions is a winner. Packed with flavor, I'd order this again in a heartbeat. That is, if I don't choose Mongolian beef.Peking duck-Love that crispy skin! The Peking duck was succulently decadent. The meat was unctuous with all the duck fat, and when paired with baos, vegetables & sauce, a filling & satisfying entree.Curry chicken-Normally I don't order curry dishes, as most restaurants (usually Thai) serve curry with more potatoes than protein. Here, at Happy Bee, I'm delighted to say their curry chicken was predominantly chicken. Oh so tender chicken! The bell peppers & curry provided a good amount of heat, enhanced by the addition of chili oil on my part. Really good!Service has been excellent. The staff have always been hospitable & cheerful the times I've been at Happy Bee. A good amount of seating via tables & booths, with 1 large banquet table w/ a Lazy Susan. Parking is at the 99 Ranch Plaza, with Happy Bee located next to It's Boba Time & Let's Sea Bag n' Roll at the southside of the plaza.Wonderful food, wonderful people. Happy Bee Kitchen is one of my favorite places to eat weekly. I'm having a delightful time exploring their menu, and am looking forward to what culinary delight awaits me next. Highly recommend!“

“Very interesting place , the food is top notch , they served you super well portions and the flavor is super , the lady that welcomes you is a character in a good way , is super nice and attentive, but with a little hyper crazy personality... their only fault is place needs to be a little more organized as you can see boxes and tables for storage and plain view ... but overall a good place ... that tea wasn't that good either ( super hot be careful)“

“This place is amazing. My friend made reservations for us about a month in advance. We were seated right away. We had the options of either seafood or beef menu. We choose the beef menu. This is my first dining experience so I was looking forward to everything. This was a unique 12 course experience and the staff here did an amazing job. Every item that came out was very good. Tucked inside a hotel you wouldn't know about this place but I am glad my friend found it. We now made it a yearly thing to come back here and have dinner here now“

“This place is a hidden gem. I think I place an order every other week for like 5 rolls. It's so good! My favorite roll is the Lemon Drop. That lemon they place on top, takes the sushi to another level. Oh, and can't forget the Veggie Tempura. Give it a try, you won't regret it! Customer service 10/10. Sushi 10/10!“

“I've heard of this place and wanted to try it out since I was eating in the same plaza. I liked that this place has some more unique flavors than your typical boba place. I opted for the Ba-La Matcha, which consisted of pure guava nectar, lactose free milk, and matcha. The drink was very refreshing and tropical. The boba had a great texture to it. Overall, I was pleased with my selection.“

“Food is good. Boba more like less authentic. Everything good just you make sure they don't go wrong on your order. My Boba had a peace of plastic. Hopefully they get better.Parking: It's always almost full because of subway or Dennys but pretty sure you'll find parking .Kid-friendliness: A small place.“

“A very solid sushi spot in Monterey Park with a great selection of sushi and rolls.I ordered their salmon burrito, green onion sesame chicken, soft shell crab & the Kaiba roll. The salmon burrito was way bigger than I thought and can probably feed two people. The salmon tasted fresh and it was overall solid entree. The sesame chicken was crispy and delicious. I tried it with the tempura sauce and it took it to the next level. The soft shell crab was also delicious and flavorful. Their signature roll was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall the lunch was very good and satisfying.Customer service was excellent and I’d definitely come back to this spot again to try their other menu items. Parking can be tough during peak times.“

“It's always the places tucked away in a corner that are the best. You would never see this place from the main road unless you go into the business park. I've only been once and tried the orange peel chicken with fried rice. They forgot my fried rice and gave me white rice but I live near by and they were quick to fix it when I came back. The quality and taste of the food keeps this a 5 star. The chicken didn't taste cheap or full of salt and didn't upset my stomach after like other places. I would surely come back!“

“Happened to be in the neighborhood, so thought we'd give it a try.We ordered green curry, pad krapow and grilled beef "crying tiger."Green curry was good. Pad krapow was the best. It has just the right punch to it; very flavorful. Sadly the grilled beef was chewy and overcooked. It was so overcooked that it tasted more like beef jerky. A big disappointment. We will come back for the pad krapow and will try some other dishes.“

“The good : I love how they went for a chic yet street food aesthetic for their restaurant. I think it really emulates Chinese food which definitely plays into the experience of eating here. The portions and platings were very good and we were able to try many dishes. With that said I think the food was just okay. The Mid : Maybe it's because I am Chinese so I've tasted better Chinese food before so that's why I wasn't super impressed. I will say tho I really liked the fried rice because they added the Chinese sausage to it which makes the taste really authentic keke. There definitely is better and Chinese food in the LA area because they definitely are a western twist. but I do think the ambiance makes up for the lack of an oomph factor in the flavors and I also wish they cut back on the oil a little.“

“Oi has been a local favorite for us for a while now! It’s so nice to have yummy Filipino food nearby— I’ve tried several of the bowls and have loved all of them.Today I went in and ordered food to go, and then stopped by the boba place next door while waiting for my food. I didn’t even mention where I was going, but a few minutes later someone from Oi peeked their head in to see if I was there and brought me my food. Needless to stay, the staff goes above and beyond. I’d had a tough morning and that little thoughtful act really brightened my day.“
