“When I first went the experience was pretty nice, however the last time I went it wasn't that great. The cashier, as I was making my order, was fairly rude giving a lot of attitude, I was pretty nice regardless because she might've had a bad day, but either way it did retract some points on service. The food is amazing, it's delicious and savory. I love the poké bowls, the lemonade was actually pretty good too, I have yet to try their chicken bowls and sushi. I would say it's something worth checking out if you're looking for something refreshing and filling.Dietary restrictions: If you're worried about braces, the food they serve are mostly braces friendly, so there's nothing to worry about. If you go for the poke bowl, you can fully customize it to your liking, so if you need to eat healthier, it's a really good option.“

“Called in an order today based on recommendations on Yelp! The person taking my order was very quick and helpful. He said it would be ready in 15/20 minutes. Located on Del Amo/Bellflower it was easy to find. Large lot but very busy as there are a few food stores there. There was a small line ordering when we arrived. Two of the six tables available were taken. I noticed on the menu board Wednesdays are $1 a wing day. We were served by a very friendly associate who grabbed our order promptly. My order consisted of 6 Garlic Parm Wings 6 Sweet and Spicy Wings. Garlic Noodles with Tri Tip and a Ninja Quesadilla The food was great, very tasty and spicy where it needed to be. Will definitely go again“
“You know a spot is good when the only menu displayed has faded photos of various dishes with no descriptions or dish titles. Only the real ones know. Every time I come here, I meet a local who’s been coming here since the 80s or 90s and it is so comforting to know that a place like this exists. Love the food, owner, consistency, quality, and history of this place.Run by one guy and one guy only, make sure to be patient while waiting for your order if it gets packed, maybe clean up the tables around you while you wait. “This place is hidden on 4th street. There is plenty of street parking in front of the restaurant. It's not that busy later in the evening. The service was quick. The ambiance is super cute with the cherry blossom tree and the art on the wall with the chicken. This is a cashless place since they recently got robbed. So make sure to help out this small business!I got the original hainan chicken rice. Everything was flavorful and spiced right. The sauces that came with it was perfect. I love how chicken is cooked steamed as it was juicy and not try. I would get this again. If you're sick, get their herbal chicken soup. It has 5 spices and Gojo berry, which is beneficial when you're sick. I definitely will be back here to try their bubble teas too!“
“I met my friend here for lunch as it is one of his go-to places for Tawainese/Chinese homestyle food. He ordered us a good amount of things to try - including the Three Cups Chicken, Stinky Tofu, pork spare ribs, Tawainese sausage and buns, and veggies. We had plenty to eat and everything was delicious. I don't think you can go wrong with the food here.“

My daughter & I wanted to try their drinks. This shop is new & it's located in a strip mall near the other food & drink places. It's near Sprouts if you have a difficult time finding it. Vita Cane services healthier alternatives for rehydration. I chose the Mojito Orange Bang & my daughter chose the Coco Melon. As I took a few sips of the Mojito Orange Bang, it tasted very similar to this fruit called Calamansi. The drink itself was sweet & a little sour, but very refreshing. I want to try their Lemon Berry Berry cane & the Fire Dragon. The staff were so sweet & friendly. The ambiance was very vibrant. There is a giant mural & bright LED signs inside the shop. Bathrooms are clean as well.“
“Flavor is good, they use a lot of garlic. Amount was enough but not for big appetites. Price is in average of Panda Express.Food was barely warm , and when is raining you just want your food hot. Service was good, they do not ask for tip, that is voluntary. Dining room is ok, chairs are for fast people, do not try to stay more than 15 min or pay your rent. I’ll be back but I’ll ask the waitress to please tell people staff be sure my delicious food is hot and healthy. “Food was decent here. I got the Dumpling combo which let me have 4 of each of their Dumpling flavors. I was hoping for more flavor. Nothing spectacular here, but still an okay meal if you like light flavor. They had multiple sauces that were also light on the flavor. I may need to try their Potstickers to see if having it fried makes a flavor difference. The Hot and Sour Soup had lots of ingredients and they didn't skimp on them. Like the dumplings, there wasn't as much flavor here as I'd expect. Both items had a good amount of food for the serving. Parking is easy as it is located on the non-busy side of a shopping complex. Service was mediocre. When I was asking about their options, the servers weren't really making it seem like they believed in their own product. There was a subtle indifference in my interaction. The restaurant was clean with lots of seating. Not sure if I would go back for what I ordered, but I may still give those Potstickers a try.“

“This is my go-to hot pot spot in OC. I stopped going to boiling point a long time ago. They have such a long line, pricey, and a small portion. This place always has a plenty of seats with a nice ambiance, and customer service is very quick and efficient. If you go there for lunch, they give you free iced black/green tea. I“
“This place is incredible! I’ve only ever had katsu sandos from Japan at local convenience stores (Family Mart & 7-11), they were delicious however they weren’t super fresh and weren’t crispy due to having to be microwaved. I wanted a taste of Japan so sought out some Katsu sandos and landed here. It far exceeded my expectations. I got the Rosemary Katsu Sando with Spicy Mayo. The chicken was audibly crispy and fresh, the bread nice and soft, and the spicy mayo was the perfect level of spice and the perfect compliment to the sandwich. I got a side of waffle fries which were arguably the best waffle fries i’ve ever had, they were perfectly crispy and had a light seasoning that gave them an amazing taste and set them apart from the waffle fry competition. Nice portions on the sando however it’d be nice to fit in some more fries. I had a bite of one with berry sauce and it was too sweet for my liking but still good, i’ll be sticking with the spicy mayo (or maybe try the baja chipotle sauce). I wish they had more drink options such as homemade lemonade.Katsu Bar: 9.6/10“

Quality is about the same as other Chinese buffets. Dumplings are made fresh in house. They don't serve steamed crab legs anymore.?. “I have been ordering at Umami Express for a while now and it is such a life saver for busy weekdays. I am trying to lose weight and their food is so filling but guilt free - saved me from ordering unhealthy fast food. My fave so far is the chicken bowl, I add chestnuts and cucumbers. The texture is so good and the lemon garlic sauce is good as well. I did try the spicy sauce on time and it is not for me. One improvement I guess I would ask is if there is a way that the calories are stated in the website when I do my online order? I have never been in the restaurant, so I cannot tell for sure if they have it there. With my need to be more calorie conscious that will be a fantastic help. :-)“

My wife and I usually order the dinner combinations which include miso soup and salad. The portions are good and I especially recommend the beef teriyaki and sashimi combo.“

When I found out they were opening up a new location not to far from me, I was filled with pure joy. We were in the area contemplating what to eat. First thing that came ot my mind was, of course, teriyaki. So we decided to make a stop. Like at any other location, the food was delicious. I ordered the chicken bowl with fries. Their fries are one of my faves because they season them with perfection. The new location was very clean and like always, the staff was amazing. They made our food fast and even though it was a Friday night, we were services quickly. The cooks definitely hustle back there in the kitchen. So if you are in the area maybe after a day of shopping and want a quick bite, I suggest this place because you can't go wrong and PLUS the food is delicious.“
