“This was my first time getting food from this restaurant. Got #17 Pho rate steak & tripe to go, so while I was waiting for it I had a great conversation with one of the wait staff. The soup was really delicious! The large was big enough for 2 meals! Reasonable prices, too! I highly recommend this restaurant.
******Updat: went here with 4 friends for dinner. Everything was amazing, except NO A/C! Omg, it was so hot!“

​From the moment I stepped into Akai Asian, I knew I was in for a treat. The warm, inviting ambiance and the sight of happy, cordial diners immediately set a fantastic mood. I felt genuinely welcomed by the staff, who guided me through their extensive menu—and wow, was I blown away by the selection!
​For my first visit, I ordered the Chicken Bento Box, and it was easily a 5-star dish. It was a well-balanced masterpiece!
​The box featured a delightful salad with corn, which was perfectly topped with a nice sesame seed oil dressing—it was incredibly savory and very tasty. It also included four delicious California rolls. Alongside these were some fried veggies and fried shrimp. They were very pleasant; not overwhelmingly greasy or heavy, but perfectly fried right to the bite. Lastly, the star was the delicious chicken served on top of fresh veggies and rice. Everything was perfectly prepared, showcasing the high quality and fresh flavors of Asian cuisine.

“We love Yanagi. Fabulous and fresh sushi, great service and there always seems to be a table for us. My tiny humans, age 10 and 7, love their sushi. At Yanagi, they are always well taken care of.“

“I’ve lived in Mar Vista for years and somehow never knew about this place. Let me tell you… the fish is SO fresh, the rolls are delicious, but the spicy garlic edamame is on a whole different level of amazing!!!! Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and efficient. Definitely found my new favorite restaurant.“

“I’ve been going to 3 brothers since high school and that’s almost 17yrs ago. I’ve since moved out of state back in 2020 but every time I get back to Cali I always have to stop by. Their sweet and sour chicken dinner is always my go to and never disappoints. It’s also nice that the owner still remembers me.“

The food quality is really great. Tastes fresh and crunchy and its really good. I got the vegetable roll and it was good. Only reason for 4 stars is price. For what it is and where it is and how much was in the roll, especially it being only vegetables, it was quite expensive. I mean not too much but for the price a larger quality would be better.“

“This was my first time trying The Rascals Teriyaki in Carson and I’m honestly impressed. The teriyaki bowl was delicious — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and the sauce was just right. Every bite was tender and seasoned so well.

The salad was fresh and crisp, and it paired perfectly with the bowl. You can taste the quality.

Everything came out fresh, full of flavor, and made to order. You can tell they care about quality and aren't cutting corners.

The restaurant is spotless, the service is welcoming, and the whole place has a great vibe. It's refreshing to find a neighborhood spot serving authentic Vietnamese food that's consistently fresh and delicious.

“The older Asian man who took our order was not friendly at all. (The first thought that entered my mind was that he was a racist) Upon entering the restaurant my friend and I greeted him twice he never did open his mouth and speak. It was our first time there so I had questions about what I wanted to order. He was very pushy and impolite rushing us even though we were the only customers in the restaurant. We should have turned around and walked out but we were tired so we ignored his rudeness. The rice was good but I wondered how it could be cooked to order when we got it right away.“
