“I have tried many roujiamos at many places around LA and the one i had here was the best by far. In addition i had the liangpi which was also good. Sometimes at night i dream about going to this restaurant again and in my dream, im trying the other things on the menu. The owner is also the kindest person!“

“A typical fancy omakase meal that I’m not sure if I would come back.

The menu only had 2 choices, wagyu or seafood set, $128 person. I enjoy most of the food, out of 11 courses, there 4 dishes with different type of steak, while the meat is good I think I expected more creativity?( Caz honestly I could probably do that at home myself with the quality of the meat).

I feel the restaurant lacks decoration compare to most fancy upscale restaurant, so without the atmosphere, the vibe, the setting. I think the experience would be for food for the most part … and I feel like they could make it more fancy if that make sense“

“Today we had grilled fish at Liu Roast Fish (San Gabriel). The two of us ordered a mildly spicy black cod. The flavor was authentic, and the fish was very fresh. It had great color, aroma, and taste, really whetting the appetite. The staff were friendly, gave detailed explanations of the menu, and the environment was clean and comfortable. Whenever we come to Los Angeles, California, this is the restaurant we must visit to enjoy a feast.“

“Almuchow boasts of offering “Filipino comfort food” in Blossom Market Hall - and they have all the Filipino comfort staples on the menu such as chicken adobo, various versions of Pansit, and of course lumpia!

Since I adore lumpia I couldn’t resist grabbing an order - and I was not disappointed. Definitely a solid choice for lumpia in the area (it’s called Lumpiang Shanghai on their menu). The pieces are small but quantity is more than ample. And they come with a sweet/sour sauce.

The lumpia were nice and crisp on the outside and smooth on the inside with great flavor and not greasy. We also tried to order some chicken adobo but they were sold out - will have to try and catch it again next time bc it looks great.

Prices are reasonable and service was efficient and pleasant. We were a little bothered by the fact that the cook and other food handlers weren’t wearing gloves and were touching their faces and the money while also handling food - we almost didn’t order there bc of it but gave it a shot anyway lol. Otherwise everything was great.

Almuchow is towards the back of the market hall. Order at the counter and they’ll give you a buzzer. The vibe are lively and inviting with lots of seating options and promising dessert choices once you’ve finished your dinner. There’s plenty of free parking on site.“

Mission View Plaza Asian •

“Great bakery tucked away in a small trip mall on Las Tunas and Mission. Although small, the baked goods are so good here. They are also very creative with their pastries. This is the only shop I can find gigantic pineapple buns. One of the bun here equals to probable 4 to 5 regular buns that you would typically find at dim sum. They can also custom made cakes from 6 inch to whatever sizes you want with various different flavors and designs. We just ordered a 6 in chestnut cake with rose flower decoration for my mom's birthday. Order was done efficiently and timely. We ordered the cake one day before and was able to pick it up by next morning. I also like their Chinese pastries. One of my favorites is their Portuguese egg tart or Pastéis de Nata as they called the Custer in Portugal. The skin is so crispy and the egg tart filling tasted so good. I just can't stop eating them. Probably I have to run a couple of miles the next day to burn off the calories. There are so many great pastries here. I just have to come back to try them all. The owner is so friendly and she is always very helpful to introduce us to new products.“

“I just had the most incredible lunch at Dandan’s Guilin Rice Noodle! I started with their dried sour and spicy noodles and seriously, I couldn’t stop eating them! I tried to save room for the other dishes, but they were just too good. The lamb skewers were bursting with flavor, and everything else like the tofu, pig’s ear, preserved eggs, and edamame was simply amazing. Every bite was packed with deliciousness. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out!“
