“I came in today and was attended by Jamila. She was a ray of sunshine and I enjoyed my food experience and chat with her. Coach girlies recognize coach girlies. As well as all the female cashiers were as equally kind and pleasant. The only thing I was disappointed with was the portions of my food I felt they were a little small for what I paid for.“

“There are restaurants where the food carries the entire experience and then there are places where somebody behind the counter reminds you that hospitality is still part of the job.

Poke & More is the second kind. I’ve been here enough times now to finally have an opinion and the woman working the counter may genuinely be one of the nicest people I’ve encountered in a restaurant in a while. Warm, patient, grateful you’re there. The sort of person who somehow makes handing over a plastic bowl of raw fish and rice feel like an act of hospitality instead of a transaction.

That matters. The place itself is simple, clean and easy. Parking isn’t a battle. Nobody is trying to turn poke into theater. You order your food, they make it and you leave happier than you arrived.

The bowl is straightforward: white rice, furikake, poke. And the rice deserves credit. Properly cooked, fluffy, enough structure to hold the fish without turning into paste. Traditional Hawaiian poke doesn’t require sushi rice and honestly I prefer this approach. Let the fish do the talking.

The fish, unfortunately, is also why this stops at four stars. I usually get two kinds of poke and the seasoning is flavorful but can run a little salty. More importantly, the texture isn’t completely consistent. Some pieces have that clean, firm bite you want from raw tuna. Others can be softer, slightly mealy, occasionally a little fishier than I’d like.

Nothing has ever crossed into “don’t eat this” territory. It’s just the difference between good poke and the kind of poke that makes you stop talking for a minute. And this is good poke.

The portions are generous, the rice works, the seasoning scratches the itch and the whole thing makes for an easy, satisfying meal. There are probably flashier poke places in Los Angeles. There are certainly more expensive ones. Poke & More feels like neither.

It feels like a neighborhood place that does its job. And then that ridiculously kind service bumps the whole experience up another notch.

Four stars. The food is good. The hospitality is better. And I’ll absolutely be back.“

“This is always a great spot for a quick lunch bite when craving Hawaiian Food.

Its a small business privately owned and service is always good here. Ambience is not much to write about - its functional and good for a quick lunch bite. They've have got a few small tables to grab a quick lunch and food is in the mark.

My goto dishes here are Garlic Shrimp Plate, Chicken Katsu and Beef BBQ. Can't go wrong withe either of these.

“Amazing! The whole family eats here. Ribs are unique and usually aren't served anywhere, but really like how they are one of the only ones to serve it. Katsu and the chicken are always my favorite. I do however recommend that they have a different sauce instead of a house sauce. A regular teriyaki sauce would be really good, which is something I suggest.

The person working at the front is amazing! One man show during peak hours sometimes and I always see him working hard. Keep it up!“

I drove up from Orange County and, the moment I walked in, I was greeted with an ALOHA and watched the place get packed. It was a perfect place to meet up with friends! Spam & eggs with rice for breakfast hit the spot. Malasadas are fresh and warm! Then they added live musicians playing Hawaiian music and I didn't want to leave. “Great spot for a quick bite. Staff was friendly and quick with getting your order. Had the Poki Bowl which was great. They give you 3 protein options with unlimited toppings. Had the house spicy sauce and was awesome. Had a good kick, but nothing overpowering. Serving size for the price is also a plus. They are located inside the Commerce Food Court. Searing is great here, they several options form inside with an open sapce, small hall type or outdoor patio area to enjoy your meal.“

The Teri beef at other places can be kind of fatty, it was lean and clean. The appearance of the restraunt does not do the food justice. Its our new go to in Torrance, beats our old favorite Island Hut. Sauces including chicken salad dressing are great. Not fancy just good. Grab some and head to the beach.“

“I got the torta cubana and my girlfriend got the Suiza because she’s vegetarian. We both really enjoyed our food. Great experience. Only complaint is that they ONLY ACCEPT CASH. It’s 2026…set up a Venmo/PayPal or something. The atmosphere is nothing to rave about. “Cherrystones catered my brother's celebration of life memorial last Sunday at the Toyota Meeting Hall in Torrance. We were about 120 people. The food and presentation was excellent. We opted for the Kalua Pork and the Teriyaki chicken, both delicious. Loved the broccoli salad and Mac salad. Our guests raved about the food. Cherrystones catered my dad's memorial in 2016 and the food was excellent then. I would not hesitate to use them again if I needed a catering service. Thank you Cherrystones for doing my brother proud.“

“There’s certain l&l’s that are great out of all the ones I’ve been to this one is third in my book.
The only thing I eat all the time is chicken katsu curry so that’s what I base my review on.
I got the regular size and as always it was a lot of food enough for two people or two meals.

It is a hole in the wall type place with Hawaiian style poke & other Hawaiian dishes.
I had the sweet & spicy ahi and salmon combination with rice, and it was excellent, in my opinion. Also, the service was quick and really friendly.

“I came after my nieces softball game at Norwalk high School. I have been looking for a good local Chinese fast food location. The quality of the food is tasty. They cut your teriyaki chicken when you order it, but I did happen to come when they were near the end of their coconut shrimp (still tasty). I am a fried rice only so I can't say how delicious the chow mien is. I would gladly recommend and if they were closer, this would be my go to spot for Chinese fast food.“

Went to Check on Pancakes 5 Staff Standing Around Talking. Was told Pancakes were coming. After 10 minutes they finally arrived. Other Customers were having Service Problems Too.“

“It was good. I really enjoyed my poke bowl, and so did my asian mother who actualy doesn’t enjoy very much of anything not Chinese. My mother was kicking and screaming when I suggested the hanger. She was originally going to go somewhere else but I was very surprised when she brought a poke bowl back to our table. And she liked it. I ate a large, ate a half of a bowl, and brought the rest home. Put it in the fridge and took it out and just ate it and it was good! Some places the rice and other stuff isn’t good quality anymore, but nope this was just dandy. I got the brown rice, the salmon, albacore, spicy tuna, and octopus. I got most of everything. Got the asian sauce and the spicy mayo. I am accustomed to having poke bowls not as often but sometimes. But for my mother who I didn’t think would like it, to like it thats pretty good. It was her first time eating a poke bowl too.“

Finally, the food was A1. In particular, I got the teriyaki BBQ chicken and dumplings. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience.“
