“OMG 😳 The Ceviche (not counting my wife’s handmade ceviche) is the best I have ever tasted, and I’ve tasted a lot of ceviche. It’s soooo good. I had the Mango 🥭 Avocado 🥑 Shrimp 🍤 Ceviche it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth, I couldn’t stop eating it. Great tacos 🌮 everything was beyond my expectations. I have probably walked by Puesto’s a hundred times but not anymore it will be my restaurant of choice when in Concord you have to try it. Sorry no picture of the Ceviche 😋“

“There aren't enough stars to give this place. Family run and that's what you feel like when you go there. Buche, carnival, chicharones, chicken and ribs ( yes, ribs) are all outstanding. My neice comes back to CA from Austrailia and this is the place she wants to go. Even my buddy says it reminds him of how his grandparents cooked on their ranch in Jalisco. You absolutely will love this place. Do yourself a solid and get tortillas, they make them fresh every day.“

“The family atmosphere is what hooked us. We used to go here maybe once or twice a month before the pandemic. Since they reopened, they are closed on Monday’s, our usual day so it’s been 3 years since we’ve been there. They still recognized us though! We ordered as we walked in so the wait wasn’t long at all.“

“I drive to the Concord location from Antioch because I don’t feel safe walking dogs or running errands in Antioch. I tried several other restaurants for burritos before settling here. Great chili verde burritos, always hot, fresh, pinto beans upon request, really nice people. Cinco sells enchilada sauce for people like me who like to make a tray of enchiladas at home to eat for a couple of fays. Reasonably priced.“

“If you arrive early you can find fresh barbecue and belly plus a consommé with chickpeas that is not very greasy but very tasty.

It seems to me that it is the flavor that is closest to the original Hidalgo barbecue and that it is sold every Sunday in some places in Mexico City or on the roads that lead to the city.

The service is a little slow because they have a lot of people and they have a musical group which I don't know if it's a good idea for a Sunday morning. But in general they have good service and good food.“

“I visited for the first time and ordered a grilled chicken super burrito. I also got chips that seemed to be made in-house. Chips were excellent! I had to wait to eat it until the next day, but OMG it was still awesome. I've been trying some other local taquerias but have been disappointed. I am coming back asap!

They had everything, plates, cutlery, different salsas, chopped onion,cilantro and limes. Plus tortilla chips. We chose 4 different meats, Mexican rice and refried beans. “This is a hidden gem. Almost tempted not to mention them. Their food is amazing. We have gone several times and each time it’s great. The Birria torte and red tacos are amazing. Privately owned. Soooooo good and there is a bakery in there too! Owners super nice.“

The restaurant itself is pretty large. The bar area wasn’t open yet and seemed to be used for storage, but there was still plenty of space to sit and relax. I tried a strawberry margarita , it tasted more like a mix, but it still did the job!

It feels like the spot has a lot of potential, even if it’s not showing everything it’s got yet. Most of the customers and staff seemed to know each other, so it definitely has that local hangout feel. Service was quick, everyone was upbeat, and the energy was great. My son and I even caught ourselves singing “¡Vámonos a la playa!” that’s how fun the atmosphere was! 😄 would come back“

“I was raised in San Francisco and used to visit El Faro frequently in the Mission Dist. There's just something about the vibe and food that tastes better at SF location than Concord. Concords location has no air conditioning so prepare to take out“

“We love this place for a casual authentic Mexican meal. When I was a teen and into my twenties, I would frequently go to La Piñata 1. When my mother moved to Pleasant Grove, and then later to Walnut Creek, we began visiting La Piñata 6. Same great food and wonderful service. We always sit outside. There is a decent sized outdoor seating area. Inside is very large and can accommodate parties. The food is good and authentic. They have a bar with excellent drinks. It is casual and extremely comfortable and you are made to feel at home.“

And there's a lot of competition here so that says a lot my favorite is the 8-piece thighs and legs rice and tortillas but everything here is pretty good I'm sure really really good chicken. It packed quite a wallop but was overshadowed by the sweetness. 3 out of 5 ⭐️ I toyed with the idea of Pato Chicharrone (duck cracklings) with pickled red onions and aioli. A different twist on an old-style recipe. The ratio of fat to meat was divine in its flavor, and the onions and aioli set off all the flavors. 5 out of 5 ⭐️ Next was the Bruselas (crispy Brussels Sprouts) tossed in honey Dijon with pistachios! Sí!! Bravo!! Each sprout was cut in half lengthwise, and the layers were opened so the flavor permeated the entire piece of sprout, yummy! Nice touch and not too sweet. It was served a little cooler than what I would have preferred. 4 out of 5 ⭐️ Both tapas were generous portions and served as my meal for the evening. I ordered the Beet Salad to go. It’s done with mixed greens, roasted beets, red onion, feta cheese, almonds, with lemon vinaigrette on the side. I had a sneak peek and it proves to be delicious and so darn healthy! 5 out of 5 ⭐️“
