Not only did they have special menus for us, but we had a complete and very special experience start to finish.The staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable. We had what I would consider the best seats in the restaurant. We sat up at the kitchen bar, and were treated to an amazing dinner and “show “ The kitchen crew were so impressive and friendly to each other and us. We had such a great experience, that we canceled reservations at another restaurant on the same block for later in the week, so we could come back and try more. “We’ve been to Mabel’s twice now and both times we were so impressed by the quality of service and their willingness to accommodate some dietary restrictions. As a vegan, our server worked with the chef to see what they could make modifications to and their recommendations did not disappoint! My fiancé also loved his meal and said he would love to come back again for the oysters and Spanish G&T. Highly recommend if you’re in the North Park area!“

“Absolutely fantastic experience at Osteria Cotto e Mangiato! The service from Andrea (owner) was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every dish we ordered was incredible-from the rich, comforting Carbonara w/anchovies to the Captain's Treasure chest is unexplainable good, everything was cooked to perfection. You can really taste the quality and care in each bite. This place is a gem in San Diego for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. Oh, by the way, did I mention the Tiramisu... WOW!! “Food was amazing!!! However, service kind of sucked because it seemed that the staff was short handed. I went on a Teusday. They took my order and they said there was a miscommunication between the waiting and the kitchen. Waited a long time for my food but I was patient because the staff was running around. The wait was worth it because the food was delicious.“

“Immediately fell in love with this quaint and chicly decorated speakeasy lounge. The staff was incredibly personable and helpful. The vibe was relaxed and unassuming. When I made the reservation, it was noted that there is a 1.5 hour limit on the table. Thankfully, Botanica isn’t incredibly stringent about this rule as it gave us more time to eat, drink and be merry. My friend and I split the bill and I paid $87.49 with tip included.

Here’s what we had:
Blistered shishito peppers - mild spice but flavorful

New York strip yakitori - ordered two of these because they were that good! The steak was tender and the sauce rendered an umami flavor

Botanika roll - tasted fine, but it ate one note. You can taste the citrusy parts but not much else.

Mochi dessert - you can only get dessert if you order the pre fixe chef menu, but since our waitress didn’t know this, she put the order in and gave it to us! We were incredibly grateful because it was the perfect end to a good meal

For cocktails we ordered Spirited Away, Dragon of the West, Kyoko Sakura & Heads will Roll. All of the cocktails were beautifully presented and quite tasty.“

“A ramen that was simple, not overly rich, and the perfect portion size. The prices are reasonable for the quality and the hole in the wall style helps elevate this restaurant. The service was amazing and quick. I will return once again to try some more“

“I went as a solo traveler and sat at the bar. The staff was so sweet and friendly. They cleared extra space for me so I could order food (it is a pretty small bar area and I get the feeling food is not often served there) the house wine and eggplant parm were so good and again the staff were so mind and warm.
