“Lovely cozy little place with plenty of Steinbeck memorabilia to peruse through. The servers are all very kind (all volunteers!) My chicken wrap was yummy and the veggie broth and bread rolls were definitely homemade and delicious. It was definitely worth the lunch stop. Keep in mind they close at 2pm so arrive before 2.”

“Best (Gobernador) Shrimp Tacos EVER!!!Abundant and super fresh shrimp cooked to the exact perfect second, delivered perfectly warm, crammed into fresh homemade crispy soft tortillas, topped with fluffy homemade guac, sautéed sweet onions and peppers with oozy soft melted cheese. Absolutely mind-blowing delicious! It will be an almost impossible challenge to order anything else when I eat here next time, but the menu all looks so tempting, too. Service is wonderful, prices v reasonable, lovely ambiance and they are open all afternoon. What a FIND!!! ¡Muchas Gracias!”

The chef was amazing both times that we went there. But the restaurant is small and thrown together. I only care about the yummy food.Parking: There were a few street spots. “Super friendly, cozy little family café. Really good lunches and breakfasts, staff is a father, daughter and son-in-law, all care about the place the food, and the customers. They treat everyone like family. The day I was there they were playing Christian rock the whole time, but somehow with the amount of love and kindness exhibited by the Cafe community, that it was not really my thing didn't bother me at all. It was still happy and friendly music. Good coffee, good food, clean restrooms, good wifi, excellent care of people.”

“I have been going here for a few years now. The cakes are absolutely delicious! We have a lot of March birthdays and our favorite flavor is the lemon cake with raspberry preserves. The owner is very kind and they always pull off any decoration that I want. Would recommend 10/10!!!”

“The pepperoni pizza was delicious. Lots of pepperoni topping while the crust wasn't too thick. The Italian salad that I got was disappointing. I paid $4 more for salami but it wasn't cut into strips like previous photos. They were round and not what I expected . The red onions overpowered the taste and smell of the salad. I'd skip it next time but would definitely get another pizza or two.”

“If you are visiting the area, this is a must stop place. It is my favorite restaurant in the county. Every ingredient in every dish is intentionally used, there are no lazily picked side dishes here. The small restaurant is very charming and half of their seating is outside, well covered and heated nicely. Make sure to make a reservation!”

“Hands down my favorite coffee spot in the area. It's a small spot but they roast all of their own beans & also spotlight some local bakeries (reds donuts & Parker-Lusseau). If you want something slightly sweet try their Vietnamese iced coffee or add honey to your latte. Note this is not a spot you can work at or really hangout at other than at the standing high tops.”

“This is a very popular spot for the Hispanic crowd. Everything is made from scratch. The tortillas are fabulously fresh. This is the only place I have ever seen chili relleno burritos, oh so good! They only make 50 per day and they are usually gone by 1 pm. Long lines are common at lunch time, but with several servers behind the counter the line moves fast. You choose your items while you watch them being out together. There is no indoor seating.”

“My friends and I were headed to a different Chinese restaurant in Marina, but saw Ho-Wah and entered it. Boy were we glad! We were greeted, told what are the specials and delighted to note that the chef is popular for his vegan cuisine. We had egg rolls busting with veggies and crisp edamames for appetizers. The stir fried asparagus was out of the world! Garlic eggplant was perfectly flavored. The Hong Kong noodles were pan fried and we didn't feel guilty eating it. The sesame bun dessert was out of this world good!!! The owner was very friendly and food was made fresh and served fast. Other notable thing was the cleanliness of the bathroom being exceptionally clean. Highly recommend this gem in Marina!”

“We had a reservation for 4 at 5:30 on a Wednesday. Parking was easy. The place was busy and noisy. We were seated immediately. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. Our group had prime rib and New York steak (and salmon filet), amazing steak, cooked to perfection along with the potatoes, veggies, and salad. Thumbs up for an outstanding steakhouse meal. We will go back soon. Oh yes, and the wine was excellent!”
