This is my first sake-ery in the US. Had been to a couple in Japan. We tried their beer and their sake. It's hard to find fresh sake in the US. If you have not tried fresh sake, you have to try it because they taste sooooooo much better than any sake you have tried in a restaurant or from the supermarket. The sake are so smooth and very refreshing. Each of them had unique and distinct flavor profiles. Their beers are great too.They brew their beer in Japanese style so it is very unique and different from other breweries. Absolutely coming back for more sake and beer!!!“

“As someone who’s passionate about clean eating and mindful of digestive health, I’m always looking for restaurants that balance authenticity with freshness and care. My visit to GS Cafe was a wonderful experience that checked many of those boxes.

I ordered the veggie platter, which came with great portion sizes and fresh ingredients enough for a 2 or 3 more meals! The injera appeared to have some barley mixed with teff, so while it wasn’t entirely gluten-free (as other reviewers mentioned), it was still light, fluffy, and beautifully made. I did miss a bit of that traditional sour tang, but it was clear that real attention went into its preparation.

The Key Sir (beets) were the star of the show — tender, perfectly cooked, and incredibly flavorful. Honestly, it was the best beet dish I’ve ever had.
The Misir Wot (red lentils) was surprisingly mild — a thoughtful touch for those sensitive to spice like me. The entire platter leaned toward a gentler spice profile than most of the 50+ platters I’ve tried over the years, but the staff provided traditional spice mix on the side, which was a lovely option for those wanting an extra kick.

The Gomen (greens) had more of a creamed-collard texture than the al dente style I prefer, but it was still well-seasoned. The Fasolia (string beans) and Atkilt (cabbage and carrots) were cooked nicely, though a touch on the oily side — not enough to upset my stomach, but it could be lighter.

And wow! the Ethiopian smoothie was a beautiful surprise! A refreshing blend of avocado, mango, and strawberry, it struck the perfect balance of sweet, fresh, and hearty.

The staff were outstanding; kind, welcoming, and clearly proud of their food. The young man who served me had such a positive attitude that it genuinely added to the warmth of the meal.

Overall, GS Cafe is an excellent choice for those trying Ethiopian food for the first time or for anyone seeking authentic flavors served in a gentle, stomach-friendly way.“

The staff is always friendly, the coffee is quite good and refreshed often, food portions are on the larger side, the taste is excellent, and the somewhat dated decor just fits the whole experience. If you like old school diners... this place is for you.“

“I had delicious sushi here today for the first time in a while. All the staff were very friendly. The fish was fresh and tasted great. The tempura was perfectly crispy, and the salad dressing was excellent.

Also, having the Green Tea Honey Yuzu Tea with the meal made everything taste even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“On Arrow Hwy and Barranca city of Covina, there's this little gem call Luigi's tacos B.O.M.B tacos!

Best around street Tacos and Burritos all their food is packed of flavor, fresh and best of all unlike other taco stands that barely put any meat, not here they always put more than enough meat on their tacos and Burritos so definitely you get your money's worth.

All the times I've been here they keep their taco stand pretty clean again unlike others that have trash laying around their taco stand this one here they keep it clean. Service as well pretty friendly, dudes cooking the food as well friendly with that welcoming attitude no salty faces here.

Overall awesome spot to hit up for some late night taco cravings. Prices are really reasonable, some of these taco stands around the area are way overpriced that's why you never see anyone hitting those up, so definitely recommend this one!“

“This place is like Subway, but with pizza instead of sandwiches (and much fresher ingredients). They have a menu of pizzas, but you can customize all of your toppings as you watch a staff member put it together for you every step of the way - from saucing to firing it up in the pizza oven so it comes out fast and hot. The crust is consistently perfect (thin and crispy), there are a ton of fresh, quality ingredient options, and the flavors are amazing. This is a place I have frequented for years and I can honestly say that I have never had a pizza I didn't like. I've tried a handful of them, but my go-to is the green pie (pesto basil sauce, mozzarella, feta, zucchini, eggplant, artichoke hearts & fresh tomatoes). My husband does not like vegetables too much, but even he has learned to let them make it as-is, without customizing it, because it is SO GOOD! The chicken wings are juicy, meaty, and delicious. The salads and Mediterranean plates are great as well (chicken/beef kabob, falafel or chicken shawarma served with rice, salad, hummus, pita bread, and garlic sauce). There is even a dessert counter where you can usually find an assortment of treats like macarons, Dubai chocolate bars, and Baklava. They also serve beer (bottled and on tap).

Aside from the great food, the place has a great ambience with a large & spacious indoor dining area as well as a large shaded patio area in the front (facing bustling Citrus Ave), big screen TVs, and even a little game machine for the kids. They do a great job of keeping it all nice and clean. A small touch I really appreciate is that they conveniently keep extra plates, silverware, condiments, and to-go boxes out in the front so you can use as much as you need without having to ask for them.

On top of all that, it's in a prime location in downtown Covina so there is plenty to do if you have some time to walk around. Great for families and casual date nights.

“Went here to take food to go and managed to stay for a bit at one of their small tables inside. Highly recommend calling ahead and ordering to-go as there is only 4 small tables inside. Food was hot and fresh as they cook to order...so be patient if ya walk in and just order. The place is quaint and the owner is friendly. Business has been here for many decades and they try to keep pricing reasonable. Good deal for the price and it is delicious. 😋 I will be back. “So I've been coming to Rude Dogs for years. I stopped but recently went back after a comedy show at the Laugh Factory a couple doors down. Thursdays are Kayoke nights (super fun). We love seeing our favorite Bartender, Kevin!!! Drinks are strong and great, and the vibe/ ambiance is one of an upscale bar. They have pool tables and dart machines. The bar is a wrap around and they have nice comfy booths and tables. Music is always on point (at least from what I can remeber). We happened to pop in on a Thursday night and they were doing karyoke (every Thursday, all night). Nice bar, great service and always a good time. You can find a parking lot behind the bar or street parking.“

“It is a typical Starbucks establishment, located near Shoppers Lane in Covina. I would visit this establishment during my lunch breaks, in 2024, when I used to work in the area. I would come here, to purchase coffee, and sometimes sandwiches. Of course, I would not stay long in this place, since I would order most of my items for take out. Still, it is a neat Starbucks establishment. The lines, of course, would take some time, just to get my order right. Nevertheless, I would come here during lunch break, so it is understandable. In the evenings, though, the lines were more efficient. At the same time, during lunch period, there were no places to sit down. Concurrently, in the evenings, there was ample of space to sit down, and enjoy a meal or coffee. So, if anyone needs some coffee, I would recommend to visit this establishment, in the morning, or in the evening, when there are fewer people. Still, if someone urgently needs coffee during noon time, I would only recommend to visit, if they have 10 to 15 minutes to spare in wait time.“

“This is the Best and Most affordable Pho restaurant in L.A area. I've been going to this restaurant for many years and I highly recommend it. I only had to dock one star because they tell you your online pickup order is complete but it is always missing something so double check your order before you leave.
