“I'm here just about every other weekend to get takeout for the family. The Indian flavors really come through in an exciting way. The rotisserie chicken is one of the best I've found in LA, and it's not even the best chicken on the menu. Anything with beans are a must-have.“

“What a delightful and delicious surprise! We were out looking for some interesting ice cream and stumbled on this place. 6 flavors of soft serve. We both loved the Vietnamese Coffee! I got another flavor Yakukt (tart yogurt) and hubby got the coffee and condensed milk flavor.

The owner took the time to explain each flavor and give us a taste sample of 4 flavors. For a Friday night it was packed and a line out the door, but totally worth it. Great vibes inside!“

“We went to the Newport Beach location a couple of weeks ago. This was my first time ordering an acai bowl. The staff was very helpful and patient when I was building my bowl. Overall, from the time we walked in to the time we left, the staff was extremely friendly and nice.“

“Favorite Sichuan restaurant in California! Definitely the most authentic Sichuan food I’ve ever had in the states (yes I’m from Sichuan so take my word for it lol)
We live in the Bay Area, but whenever we’re visiting LA, we go to this place because of the great taste.
We ordered rabbit, beef and beef. The portions were HUGE. Every dish was flavorful, and it’s amazing that they picked seasonal vegetables to complement the flavor of the meat in each dish. And the spiciness is really close to what I had back at home in Sichuan. The chengdu fried rice(this should be the name if I remember it correctly) is also very good, not oily at all.
The restaurant owner is also very nice and she told us the rabbit meat is fresh from the butcher shop everyday, which sets this restaurant apart from others. (Well, this is the only restaurants in the states that I have ever been to that serves rabbit on the menu, so I really appreciate that)

“I was drawn to this boba shop because of its high ratings and very reasonable prices! Located inside Chubby Cattle, you don’t need to dine at the restaurant to order here.

Here’s what I tried:

Osmantheous Oolong Milk Tea with Boba (less sugar, less ice): This was fantastic! The tea-forward flavor was exactly how I like my milk tea, and the boba had just the right texture—not too chewy and not overly sweet. I’d definitely order this again.

Strawberry Oolong Tea (less sugar, less ice): A little on the sweeter side for my taste, but still a great deal at just $2.99.

To my surprise, they were running a buy-two-get-one-free special during Christmas week! The third drink that was part of the promotion was an Iced Strawberry Matcha, which was quite sweet but still a nice addition to the experience.

Overall, this spot offers great value and drinks—I’d happily return!“

“I'm not sure where to even begin with this restaurant. We decided to stop here on our drive home from the LA County Fair because we had a sudden craving for Ethiopian food. We looked up places on Google Maps, and this place was on the way home and was rated 4.9 stars, so we figured, why not?

We were very, very pleasantly surprised with our decision because this restaurant is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants I've ever been to. Scratch that, it's probably one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The food, the service, the atmosphere, everything was incredible.

The restaurant is also an fantastic value. A $45 sampler plate of all the meats and eight sides could easily fed three to four people. The Ethiopian beer and wine were fantastic as well. I'd find it hard to leave this restaurant unsatisfied.

It's a small restaurant, and doesn't have a lot of seats, so sometimes there might be a wait. That said, the food came out quickly and it was delicious!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area, and it is even worth making a trip out to if you love good Ethiopian food.“

“Went into Crumbl tonight and when I walked in the first employee didn’t greet us or even make eye contact, but the girl worker in the back I believe making the cookies with super short hair was the sweetest and her customer service was top tier.“

“This place is by FAR the BEST subs I have had. I first tried them back in like 2000/01 at there old location in Azuza. I live out by San Bernardino and drive here just for a sub that's how good they are. Bacon, avocado, turkey the best in my opinion. Hope they continue their legacy for years to come. “I recently tried Chubby Skewers and overall had a pretty good experience. They have a great selection of meats, and at $1.20 per skewer, it’s easy to try a variety without spending too much.

That said, some of the meats were a bit on the tougher side, which took away from the experience a little. But not everything was a miss, the grilled oysters and scallops were definitely highlights and tasted really good.

I also liked that you can order from the menu if you want something more than skewers. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re looking for variety at a reasonable price, with a few standout items worth coming back for.“

They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. “The sushi here was excellent. The rice in the two rolls had a hint of yuzu that really elevated the flavor. Yuzu can sometimes be overpowering, but the chef used it perfectly to enhance the overall taste. It really brought the entire roll together. I especially enjoyed the Crunchy Albacore Roll—the balance of flavors was spot on.
The chirashi bowl was also plentiful and a great value for the price. The fish was very fresh, but the standout part was the rice. I’ve honestly never had sushi rice quite like this before. In addition to the classic vinegary sushi rice flavor, there was a subtle hint of yuzu that added an extra layer of freshness. When paired with the fish, it made the whole experience feel even more elevated.
If you come between 5:00 and 6:30, they offer 15% off during happy hour, which makes the experience even better.

“The portion sizes are pretty great for their prices, despite me thinking they'd be small from photos lol. Our party of three had enough leftover for at least 3 more servings tbh, the tacos & tostadas are big.

Though there was a slight wait (we ordered 2 tostadas, 1 serving of taquitos [2], 1 burrito, & 3 tacos), the customer service was swift and kind. The flavor of the food wasn't anything insane, but I liked it just fine and they let you have as many salsa as you want. They don't skimp on cheese and the other toppings.

I'd definitely recommend coming here even outside of their special pricing on Mondays and Tuesdays!“

I was told they also have a chipotle sauce, so I went with that instead. When I got home, OH MY GOSH!! Those were the best chilaquiles I’ve ever had with the Chipotle sauce. BUT if you're looking for some delicious mouth watering dumplings cooked in various forms then you're at the CORRECT place. I brought my mom here and we tried the pork chive regular dumplings, the pan fried beef and cumin dumplings and the regular fried rice. All of it was delicious. Also they give you a complimentary bowl of egg drop corn soup. NOT a small bowl but a good size portion, it was GOOOOOD. I will definitely be back with the rest of the family and I want to try the beef noodle soup. DON'T fall asleep on the fried rice.“
