“I’m a sandwich (and Italian hoagie) aficionado, constantly seeking out the best. I actually have an entire category of sandwich shops and deli’s saved on my phone. I will drive (or more likely ride my motorcycle 2+ hours just to try a new place.

Take it from me: Lucia’s is a rare gem. Five stars. Terrific bread, thinly sliced meats and cheese, fresh produce, homemade spread: they had it all.

And LOTS of it. I knew as soon as I picked up the bag: huge, loaded sandwich. I couldn’t get my mouth wide enough to get the whole thing at once. Then, I could only eat half. I brought the other half home and my wife could only eat half of that half. I enjoyed the rest the next day.

I should’ve taken a picture but was too busy devouring the thing. I will definitely be back, and I will remember to take a picture then. It’s as good an excuse as any for a return visit. See you there.“

“The best sandwiches I've had in East Bay. I'm delighted by their choices of flavors. The portions are sized such that we always get two meals out of a sandwich. They consistently maintain great quality, so it is one of our regular places.

“I’ve been here in the past but only for breakfast and lunch and now they do lunch and dinner only. My risotto was excellent and the heater warmed me up as I sat outside and ate and talk to people around me and had a great time. Wait staff was very friendly. Had a real neighborhood feel.“

“Hands down the BEST Subway in our entire area. I eat subway almost every day for lunch and since I drive all around from discovery Bay to Vacaville to Berkeley to Alamo. I can definitively say this is the best subway. All staff is fast and friendly and they are always properly staffed (unlike some other subways). Their produce is always fresh and properly cut with no freeze burns (again unlike some other places). They also do not price gouge like some other subways litterally minutes away charging 30% more for no other reason than greed. My respect goes out to the owner of this particular franchise for maintaining the highest level of quality and standing out in a large franchise chain!“

“Treated well with swift service and sandwiches turned out great and cookies I got were fresh baked and sooo good. Try this location i was in and out in 10 minutes flat. Told the guy I was in a hurry and he got things done quick! Place was clean and they were wearing masks as they should be. (made me feel safe)

“The sandwiches are delicious. The person who helped us was very polite, made our sandwiches quickly, and exactly as we ordered them. The sandwiches were HUGE. The sandwich shop was clean, the people who work there were all wearing masks and gloves. Everyone was polite and kind. “Got here just before closing so I missed much of the hot food. I ordered a ham on rye. Wow, it was excellent. The bread was super fresh and the ham was stacked high. The macaroni salad was super tasty. I enjoyed the pictures and posters on the wall while I stuffed my face with a great meal.“

There was an order pick up that was supposed to be ready 15 mins. a go, so I let the clerk helped him first. I wasn’t upset that I waited awhile. I feel bad for the young man working there.
