Low-key vibe, super casual, pool tables, darts, video golf, long hallway-style room with a wind flow that keeps it surprisingly cool.They don't have food, but allow you to order delivery and eat it at the bar. Inexpensive drinks, decent whiskey and bourbon brands, lots of beer choices (no drafts, only bottles). And a jukebox.Bartenders are all cool af, decent hard-working folk who have to put up with some serious LA attitudes and they manage the crowd like professionals. And OMG, it doesn't smell like a dive bar! Clean af, and the bathrooms even (for a dude bathroom to be reasonably clean at a dive bar is like winning the lottery.)Relax, have a good time, play some pool, and chill. Can't go wrong here.“

Despite its almost punk rock aesthetic coupled with its pool table and arcade games, it’s incredibly welcoming and I only wish I lived closer to it to be one of its regulars there. The food menu here is more than decent and so inexpensive; I come here just to have a Chicago dog more than I want a drink! It's a really unique bar, super small and intimate, and since it's next to the Pantages Theatre you get to see a lot of interesting characters. “Busy bar! The staff there are friendly, busy and fast. Our food came in less than ten minutes after we ordered world famous cheeseburgers. They were delicious and came with very fresh pepperoncinies and a bag of chips. Medium amount of drink options but better than average. There is a pool table and several TVs around the bar inside. There is also ample patio room and is private with a bamboo fence (private but not good for people watching). One small downside was that the bathrooms were tiny. If we return to this area again we will be eating here for sure !Parking: Better to park some where else and stop on the way to the boardwalk“
“the kibitz room is really funny to me, I don't know what it is it's just kind of funny that it exists you know, like it's such a different vibe than the deli. they let me bring in a big thermos after giving it the smell test and making sure it wasn't full of a gallon of vodka, so I was lucky I wasn't carrying around my usual gallon of vodka. the world is going to hell in a handbasket. one time a server did not believe me that I wanted the pickled herring, I guess I'm hard to read, but I promise I never make jokes like that, if I order it it means I want it. I respect that server though. there was one time where there was a server there and he lived in unfortunate circumstances, but he did me a favor which makes him honest in my eyes. I just love the cast of people there, including the ones that are only there for a bit because they screwed up Rodney bingenheimer's order. hahaha“

So my experience here was a breath of fresh air as it was nice and quiet with background music being just that… background music. “One of my favorite dive bars in town. Inexpensive drinks ($11 for my Ford's Gin 'n tonic) and excellent service from the bartenders. On a slow night Justin can easily keep up with drink orders while beating you at darts. Dodgers and Lakers games usually on the TVs. Last call at 1:30 am most nights. There's one scruffy pool table in the bar, one dart board, and the men's room has more graffiti than most men's rooms. It gets packed Thursdays through Saturdays. Plenty of friendly people in the bar. Very diverse crowd. One night as I was walking up, a woman stumbled out and threw up right at the entrance. Everyone just stepped over it to get in. The only thing this place is missing is good bar food, but you're welcome to bring your own. Monty's is next door where you can get a good plant-based burger, or you can go across the street to Carl's Jr and get a Star Burger for half the price. Loads of excellent Korean food nearby. It would be nice if someone opened a taco stand in the parking lot at the corner. No parking, of course, and this part of K-Town can be tough to find a spot. Best to Uber/Lyft anyway. “Stopped by for a great mai tai! This is a nice dive bar with great decorations to fit the Mai tai theme and drinks. It's cozy and lively. The service was great and the drinks even better. His cocktails were very very well made. He takes his time and you can tell enjoys the craft. Tried the Double Trouble and Pineapple Express. Double Trouble is absolutely delicious - 10/10. Pineapple Express was just as good, but def loaded (has mezcal & tequila). It'll have you feeling good real quick. Drink prices are reasonable priced for LA. Same for their daily happy hour menu. Very solid beer menu too. They have a jukebox you can pay to control the music which is kinda cool. Get to hear a variety of music genres cause of it. Solid bar for a quick beer or cocktail.“

I took my sister here for her birthday in 2023 at $109 per person for afternoon tea; hotel valet was $17. I was pleased with the ambience, aesthetics, and service at this price point. “They have excellent Philly Cheese Steaks! Homemade chips are bomb, as well as their tots. I got a chicken taco salad bowl last time for dinner, it really hit the spot. They serve beer and wine (no liquor), but as far as bars go, the food is great. Definitely reccomend.“
“Love this bar. Linda is probably one of the best bartenders in Hollywood. It's primarily metal but opens the door for a lot of alternative music. Parking isn't great but you should take an Uber or a get a designated driver if you plan on grabbing drinks in Hollywood.“
“A cash only dive bar, it's very dark inside. They open at 8am, which is perfect for night shift workers. They always greet you with a smile. Drinks are reasonable and you will always walk away laughing because it is a fun atmosphere to relax and get cocktails. They also do Karaoke on Sunday nights, it's busy, but great singers and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend if you need a great dive bar. Parking is usually available in the parking lot or on the street nearby. Just watch out for street cleaning signs if you leave your car.“
“I'll put it to you like this, on the night Black Panther came out in theatres the late great Chadwick Bozeman spent the evening with friends at the dime. Now think about that, he could've been anywhere in the world but he was at the dime. My point is this is the kind of place that the biggest celebrities in the world can come and feel like just part of the crowd. The Dime is by far one of my favorite dive bars in all of LA. They keep a good rotation of djs and they all bring their own flavor. I'm a big 90's hip hop head and they're always playing dope stuff that I grew up on. Bartenders are always a vibe and pours are legit. I used to frequent the Tuesday comedy night when Adam and Nicky hosted and I can't count the amount of good local comics and famous comics I've seen for free here. Now that I'm older I don't go on the weekends as much because it gets stupid packed but if that's your things go for it. For the guys this is one of the best places to meet women because no one is pretentious here, just enjoying life and vibing. With Fairfax constantly changing by the day it's great to still have a local staple that hasn't lost its magic.“

I was quick to befriend a comedian who informed me that the White Russian drinks they make are good. Their prices are extremely reasonable compared to most bars in LA. Tip if you have a residual check for under a dollar you get a free drink. Make some friends with old people. I met a variety of different interesting characters. “This was the first place I came once I hit my grand 21. I absolutely love it. Diana is a sweetheart, she treats you like family, I've been coming here almost a year now. I'm on a first name basis with most of the bartenders, they're all great, I absolutely feel welcomed and valued here. I try to come here at least once a month, I love the ambiance here. The patrons here are always friendly and welcoming ❤ They're the best of the best here. 10/10 recommend. These are all mostly true of Club Tee Gee and yet, I still find myself coming back.When you walk in, yeah, it's dark and dingy, but that's kind of the charm of this place. While everything in LA is modern and trendy, this feels like a bygone era. There's leather booths, a juke box in the back, a long bar, and during the day, the curtains are drawn.You walk up to the bar and the process is pretty simple...get something on tap, canned, or get a cocktail of your choice. The options are plentiful and while I haven't had to try, it seems the bartenders know what they're doing and can probably make anything you want. Price wise, everything is pretty reasonable.If dark and dingy isn't your thing, step out onto their back patio and enjoy the picnic tables, string lights, and when chilly enough, heaters. Come with your dog and enjoy a variety of different events ranging from performances, DJs, and the occasional pinewood derby race.They don't serve food here, but there's usually a food truck or pop up. The main reason for coming here is the almost weekly visit by Yellow Paper Burger. I am surprised I never reviewed it since I have been going to the Echo for over 10 years for concerts, NYE parties and always had a good time. The crowd is OK, bathrooms clean enough, drinks are reasonably priced. I like their DJ-s and their sets, really fun and gets you on that dance floor. People are polite and cordial. I’ve met some nice people here. The ladies room is clean and fresh.Drinks are very reasonable during happy hour. Specialty cocktails are regular-priced almost as high as Ventura Blvd.Staff does their job and treats customers like they are happy to be there.“
“My client who is of Hispanic descent wanted a quick drink, a chavela which consists of a beer with clamato juice, Worcestershire sauce, and lime. I had 4 shots of tequila of Don Julio. The service was good, the lady who helped us was attentive but if you like loud mexican music like banda, this is the place for you. The ambiance is very interesting. As soon as you walk in, you transport to a Mexican cantina in Mexico. It's very dark in here but the vibes is great and we enjoyed our drinks. There is a pool table in the back of this dive bar. “New place. It's called the Big o Fish Brew and Grill. The food is pretty good. Had a huarache and some taquitos. One thing that sucks is that they had a Norteño band that charges $20 to play a song. They play alright but that's a hefty price. They play for 20 mins and take 40 mins off. Kills the vibe!!!They have a very good DJ. That is why I rated them a 4. if not for DJ would have given them a 3.“
“This bar is one of the South Bays true hidden gems! From the awesome and friendly staff to the excellent beer selection they have nailed the essence of the South Bay neighborhood dive bar! The pool tables are in great shape and u can always get a game, the pinball machines are challenging and fun, and the crowd is always friendly and a good time. Pair that with the bartenders Joe, Gina, Justin, and Carlos (aka Los) and you have a great night waiting to happen. I stopped by after work to avoid the 405 almost a year ago and I keep coming back. “So I was looking for a place that had karaoke near my friend's home since she doesn't have a car. I had never been here before, but am always open to trying new places. At first I wasn't sure what to expect, as many dive bars have a "members only" feel, but I was so impressed by how lovely, friendly, and happy everyone was! I have never in my entire life been treated so warmly by both bartenders and patrons as I was at the Eagle's Nest last night. Not only that--I frequent karaoke bars often, and the host and singers here were so kind and encouraging! Many other places take the karaoke too seriously and don't clap much for other people. Not here, though! Everyone claps, dances, and sings along, and everyone treats each other so nicely! It's just such good vibes all around and the KJ, Sammy, is awesome, too! Really great and charismatic host. They have karaoke every Wed-Saturday. Oh, and they have White Claw, which is such a bonus for me! I had such a blast here, and I will definitely be returning--probably regularly!! Thank you for providing such a fun and welcoming place to party, Eagle's Nest! My friends and I had so much fun!!!“
“It is what it is. And this place IS !! I ain't been to a bar Ina long time...my best decision involving alcohol that I've made Ina while. Michelle tended bar..well. In addition she happened to be beautiful. This is your late 70's..80's type "dive bar". Music was loud and good. Prices were great. This place found me. Moved into new place last month and this wonderful throwback bar is 1 block away!! Can't wait to return.???3 thumbs up.“
