“I just enjoy their food. Friends and I would’ve dined in but unfortunately not enough seething for larger group. The cashier was so sweet and helpful. I think she is new, not seen her before.
Parking: Lots of parking available as they are located in a mall strip“

“Authentic Tunisian restaurant. Get some grilled octopus or a "bricka au thon", a lamb tagine or a vegetarian Kromb, some eggplants with harissa on the side with their delicious homemade bread, and a baklava to conclude this culinary trip to North Africa. And don't forget to try their national drink, a date spirit called Boukha.“

“Exceptional food, service and hospitality dining experience!
We had a corporate dinner hosted at the ground floor, which can be satisfied partly of 18. There is an upper floor with buyout or minimum expense options, giving more private and party or event if needed.
Menu options are group-diner. 3-4 courses family-style shared for appetizers (3 dishes), and OYW entree and dessert. Vegetarian is also available.
Fine food and fresh ingredients for the dinner overall. I am very impressed by meat cooking-level remained in perfect condition for a multiple orders at the same time for our party ( 7-10 orders of lamb chops). The overall serving pace is running smoothly and well timing management. All crews are friendly and very happy to help.
Restroom condition is clean (all genders). A luxurious brand amenity “Aesop” is applied.“

“The best food i have ever have. The Kurdish guy was very very very extra very kind. When he knew that I am from Kuwait and spoke Arabic, he invited me to have tea and kunafa with ice cream and stuffed with saffron. The kunafa was very delicious. I really recommend this restaurant.“

“The food was excellent, the atmosphere is casual with lots of seating and nice decor. I got the mixed Gyro plate with chicken and beef. The meat is flavorful and the salad is fresh. Comes with fresh pita, hummus and paprika sauce, with hot sauce at the table. The servers gave us a free slice of baklava drenched in honey and pistachios, and hot tea. Would eat here again!“

“Fabulous food and service. We got a variety of kebab platters and all were perfectly cooked and very delicious. The owner was super sweet and was accommodating to the dietary restrictions our group had. 1000% will be coming back in the future.“

“Excellent food as usual. The service was quite slow, especially for lunch and I noted the same for multiple tables around me. Additionally, the prices had really gone up since my last visit. Unclear why. It bugs me that they nail guests for 6% SF mandate — much higher than most restaurants. I don't know why health insurance for Barcha would be far higher than other restaurants.“

“I had lunch here on a Sunday, shortly after they opened up. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. I had hummus and chicken kabobs. The tabouleh was very good with lavash. The hummus was creamy and thick. The kabobs were tender, and served with delicious vegetables and rice. The hot sauce added a nice tang without too much heat. The interior is charming and has a sense of bright, dreamy relaxation. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Very delicious food. Good vibes. Friendly staff. The only negative part is that the Kabob smell didn’t go with the coffee shop vibe. It’s more felt like restaurant.
We got the burrito breakfast and the Adana Alavion role. I like that non of them were salty. But the Adana kabob was a bit dray, I like it to be more juicy.“

“We got a combo doner (gyro) wrap. I am picky about doner, it is very hard for me to like if it is not really good. But this doner was amazing! Juicy, well cooked, tasty. No additional sauce in the wrap, just like the real Turkish doner! I highly recommend this place. And I’ll definitely try the other meal options in the future.“

“I ordered via grubhub so can't comment on service or atmosphere. But the food was 10/10. I got the hummus, muhammra, falafel. Hummus and Muhammra came with Bite sized pitas. I also got their hot sauce and it was fire!! Loved everything, great for vegetarians too!!“

“Kosher food generally requires some kind of rating buffer due to scarcity, but Hummus Bodega needs no such help. Absolutely amazing food, cannot recommend more highly. Amazing variety of dishes and high quality food at every step. Pita was amazing and fresh, hummus smoother than whipped cream, fries fresh and crisp. Shawarma, schnitzel, and fried cauliflower were all great as well. The staff is also incredibly patient, and artfully dealt with a loud individual who was demanding sabich but couldn't find it named on the menu.“

“I’d been trying to find a place that sold Dubai chocolate bars in San Francisco and finally found it at Cafe Elena! Their Dubai chocolate bar is awesome! Dark chocolate, pistachio filling, not too sweet. Family-owned business, wife makes the chocolate bars, super friendly owner.“

“I have to give a huge shoutout to our server, Kubra. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, friendly, and professional. Kubra made excellent recommendations from the menu, and she truly knew the dishes inside and out, which helped us make great choices. She was consistently checking in to make sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive, and her timing was impeccable throughout the meal. It felt like she genuinely cared about our dining experience. Kubra’s warm and welcoming demeanor made our visit so enjoyable, and her dedication to service is a credit to the restaurant. “I had the lamb/beef gyro plate, which came with rice, salad and pita and I’m writing this because I’m very well versed in Mediterranean food, and this is some truly top notch food. White rice can be bland but this one was flavorful, the salad was well seasoned, as was the meat and the pita was the absolute best I’ve had in years. Delicious.“

“Perfect spot for a quick lunch. I first tried the food from Sajj in San Mateo. It was a "regular" lunch place for many at my office. Now that I occasionally work in SF, I was please to find a Sajj just a block away. Love that the food is fresh and bonus that it is full of flavor. I take advantage of ordering ahead and picking up on my schedule.“

“Note that the negative reviews are from fanatical bicycle rights nazis. First they destroy our streets, then they attack local businesses. I was here on a holiday weekend, and cars were backed up for miles. A bike occasionally passed. There’s no way a delivery person can pick up an order here. And if you do find a parking spot, good luck getting anywhere once you need to leave.“

“I usually place takeout orders by calling them. This time, I dined in, and once again, the food was incredible. I also ordered a tea pot and the kunefe dessert. They came by a couple of times to ask if I wanted more tea or if I needed anything else, like extra sauce or bread. That was super thoughtful of them. I love Mediterranean food, but this place gives me a homemade food feeling, which makes me love it even more. They have some cute pictures on the walls featuring Turkey and Turkish food, which makes the place feel very authentic.“
