“As always, another wonderful meal in Bijou. Staff always attentive and in particular a member of staff who came to my son who had made his confirmation, had a chat with him, went away and came back with a selection of desserts for him to take home. He made him feel very special on his big day. Unfortunately I don't know this staff member's name but we recognise him from previous visits where he has always gone above and beyond.“

“Our caterer who usually feeds our office fell through for our event and we immediately searched and found this company.
We spoke to a gentleman about the last minute issue and he was more than willing to accommodate us to get an order out on a 48 hour notice - I am so so so grateful
So we ordered a greek salad with feta which arrived very fresh and it was delicious!! We had a charcuterie type tray along with the 3-cheese pasta. We also had a tray of garlic bread which we forgot to get a picture of. Our team really enjoyed the food and we are definitely going to add this caterer for future orders. She is helpful, approachable, personable and communicates effectively and respectfully. She is the same way with her colleagues (like me). “In case you're not familiar with this place, it is tucked away down an alley from Redwood Road, which can make it a little tricky to find. Beyond that, they have items from places like Germany, Poland and similar countries from those regions in Eastern Europe. What makes this place stand out from some other European markets that I have seen, is they make many of their pastries onsite. On top of that, they have a decent refrigerator section with meats and other items that might be difficult to find at other places as well, and the staff is really helpful too. It's one of those places that make exploring other food cultures fun and interesting or just familiar for those who already have this established in their life.“

“I saw a sign for gourmet ice cream and I obviously had to stop in. This place beyond exceeded my expectations! I got the saffron pistachio ice cream and it is one of the most delicious ice creams I've ever had. Perfect balance of sweet and mild and I can see myself craving this. The people there were so nice and friendly as well. 1000% recommend!“

“After searching for healthy options in the area this came up on my search and found the website and after reading Mary’s story I was game to give it two weeks. First off the food is top notch it’s so delicious and creative. There has not been a meal that has not been amazing. Mary herself is an amazing top notch person who goes the extra mile to alter the menu to your needs. She offers so many options to help cater to her customers. I wish her and her business the absolute best. “Real, honest BBQ. I had the 2 meat combo with brisket, ribs, mac & cheese and potato salad. Best BBQ I have had since I was in Austin Texas! The owner was working hard with the rest of his employees and was the one to take my order. He seemed very nice and was helpful. I work within walking distance so I can see myself becoming a regular here. Canyons is an excellent addition to Castro Valley's food scene.“

Very good tacos. You really get snack tacos size. Don't underestimate the size, you will get full. I believe 6 would be plenty enough. You will definitely need a soda or drink to wash it down. Very satisfying. However, for $1 and snack tacos seems expensive. I suppose that's inflation as everybody puts it. Either way, very good and nice selections of other taco Tuesday selection.“
“First visit, weeknight, not crowded. Food very good to excellent. Beet trio appetizer superb. Not clear if the 3 dipping sauces were for beets or brisket but good either way. Fiancee had wagyu burger, excellent. I had the combo plate…brisket a tad dry, fried chicken very good, corn bread muffin & cole slaw great. Extensive wine list, top labels. We shared a flight and each had a glass of bubbly. Portion size good … I had leftovers for breakfast. Server Jeff casual but on the ball with advice. Menu somewhat limited, especially for vegans.“

“This place was the single redeeming thing in the area. I got stuck in this commercial cesspool for four and a half hours and wandered around for 3 of them trying to find decent food worth the price or some store that wasn't marked up for garbage. No dice. Finally found this place tucked away, so thankful. Had a couple drinks and chatted with old locals. Definitely support this place. In general I'll be avoiding the area but if I ever find myself there again I'll definitely go in for a drink and to get a brake from the depressing retail area outside.“

“First time here and I was surprised at how much I LOVED the pulled pork. It was nice and crispy, just how I like it! Both the mild and spicy sauces are delicious. My husband also enjoyed the ribs and jalapeño stuffed sausage. Service was quick and very friendly.“

“So sad to see Ruggie's close today. We adopted Ruggie's for our breakfast when we first moved to Danville and consider the awesome staff their absolute best asset. Huge loss for us (and the community), hoping the Growler will uphold the same excellent service standards and menu. They make a great breakfast burrito! Hint, hint! You can call a restaurant by any name, but it's the staff that keep us coming back week after week or burrito after burrito! Please don't lose the magic. Thanks so much! ☕️❤️“
