“The ambience was very relaxing!“

“Came here for the first time and didn’t know what to expect. Walking in, there is bar seating to the right and dining tables on the left. The whole place has a dive bar vibe, but in an awesome way. My husband ordered the everything burger and I ordered the brisket cheese burger. we both absolutely loved our burgers as they were cooked to perfection. Also, the condiments were fresh and tasty. We also ordered a couple beers on tap. The marshmallow stout was delicious. I can’t wait to come back here again for more!! For people considering bringing in the whole family: I would say it is not a rowdy bar but it is more oriented towards adults.

“All Star Burger is definitely a good addition to the limited variety of places to eat in DHS. They have a very good selection to choose from , ranging from breakfast, lunch & dinner as well as Mexican & American dishes. The prices are reasonable, the portions are filling , the people are friendly and most importantly (to me at leat) it was CLEAN!.

Has decent American and Mexican fare.

I would say the only somewhat negative would be it's a little pricey for what it all is, however, you're pretty much paying for convenience.
Side note, their French fries have a tasty season salt on them ?“

“Absolutely delicious! We went to Bongo Johnny’s for the first time, and we will definitely be going back! The staff was extremely friendly, and the food was so tasty! It is funny but the atmosphere seems very casual, but the food is something you would expect from a fine dining experience. Thankfully the prices were pretty reasonable! “We drove out to Palm Springs to look for a retirement home this week. A dinner was planned for our daughter's birthday. The 6 of us were immediately seated and welcomed by the very gracious staff. I had a mocktail mojito because I am driving back to Las Vegas today. There was an amazing pupu platter with tempura beans, satay chicken, seasoned ribs, a vegan version of the miso steelhead salmon substituted with a perfectly fried tofu over succulent black forbidden rice and covered in mushrooms, cauliflower, snow peas, fresh tomatoes, broccoli, and one of our party had the juicy burger with brie and fat scrumptious onion rings. Drinks were great, handed over by our very charming server. It could not have been ten minutes before we were served our food even though the place was hopping! I really love the look of the outdoor patio and hope to return in cooler weather. Parking at the back next to the accessible back patio gate made it very easy for my husband's wheelchair, whereas there are a couple of steps at the front. Once inside navigation was easy as pie. I can see how The Tropicale is so popular. The staff bring out a happy vibe and the food is a magical pairing. Well done!!“

“If you are staying at the Renaissance and don't want to walk to breakfast, this is the spot. They have a buffet which includes a made-yp-order omelette bar. They also have a menu to order off if you want pancakes or something else for breakfast. Located in the direction of the meeting rooms.“

Watching the process of how W&F makes their housemade short ribs made my mouth water, and me want to take the 2 hour drive from San Diego...\n\n$21 Short Rib Melt Sandwich...Here it was! The short rib sandwich I saw on TV was now in my hands...and it was good. Just good. Not great. The flavors were good, the short rib was flavorful and tasty, but I wish there was more of it. “Was unsure about the dining experience at first as it was a busy pride weekend and all the restaurants downtown were overwhelmed. Once we were finally seated after waiting in the line, Amy our server was absolutely amazing. She made us feel like a priority despite how busy they were and we were attended to frequently with all of the items we ordered coming quite quickly. “Dear Escena Management I am writing to formally request a refund for the golfing fees paid for my recent visit to Escena golf course on May 4th 2024. Upon booking, I was led to believe, based on the descriptions and images presented on your website, that your course offered premium facilities and conditions. Regrettably, my experience did not meet these expectations. The condition of both the fairways and greens was notably poor and not reflective of the high standard promoted online. Additionally, the level of noise from constant overhead airplane traffic significantly detracted from the experience, further compounded by an exceedingly slow pace of play throughout the day. I have also noticed a number of overly positive reviews on your website and various social media platforms, which seem inconsistent with my experience and potentially misleading to other customers. This disparity raises concerns regarding the authenticity of those reviews and suggests a possible deceptive practice that I believe warrants further investigation. “Ate at Zin twice in one visit — one dinner, on brunch. At dinner there was some mixup with the menu: I ordered the special as promoted by the server only to learn later that it was not available and felt rushed to eat something else that was okay, but not great. At brunch, they got two egg orders wrong and it took too long to fix, so one brunches had to select and wait for another dish and the other just did without their eggs altogether; meanwhile the rest of the table waited to eat, which isn't great with egg dishes. Each meal was on the front patio, which was fun and had good ambience, and the servers were nice and friendly. The drinks were good. They just really need to fix whatever is broken between front of house and the kitchen.“

Camarones Ala Diabla, so I thought I'd give it a try since everything I've ever ordered from this place has always been delicious. “All residents of the Morongo Basin know that our home doesn't have much of a bar scene, which is fine for the granola munching rock climbers, ganja purists, and christian conservatives that prolly make up 90% of the population, but for those of us who love downing beer and belting along with the jukebox, making new best friends whose names you won't remember, or need a place to kill time before returning home up or down the hill, then the Monument Bar might be your home-away-from-groan! I'm always surprised that none of my acquaintances have heard of it, but then again, it IS the kind of place you'd miss even if you were looking for it. if you're headed there from Yucca, when you get to Cactus Mart, keep looking left and DON'T BLINK. When I lived in Morongo Valley I would try to go in at least once a week, because if I've learned one thing in 47 years of gypsy wandering it's that there's nothing like a good locals bar. It's a melting pot to be sure, the place could be full of scary bikers one day, and full of pronoun-defying LGBT's the next, but this, of course, is exactly what makes the place so great, and if you've been going there long enough, you can always take refuge with the regulars.

I could write the next Great American Novel describing the place if I hunch over my keyboard long enough, but I'll try to wrap this up with some "things done right" bullet points:
- daily drink specials
- taco Tuesday, and usually some kind of special on Hallmark Holidays
- outdoor patios (equipped w/ fire pit in the winter)
- a bewildering number of menu items for such a small place, if you're the indecisive type, just get the signature monument burger...and the food is also bewilderingly good for pub fare, and if judged in that context, bump my 3-star rating up to 4.5
- Chad is a great bartender. Treat him well, and he'll return the compliment.

That should do it. I should've made a review years ago, and a recent visit reminded me how remiss I've been, even under new ownership, it was exactly liked i'd hoped it would be...as if a month had gone by and not a year. I <3 this bar!
