“We came to Coastal Kitchen at Dillon Beach Resort to celebrate my mom Angela’s birthday, and everything about the experience was outstanding: warm service, delicious food, and one of the most beautiful coastal settings anywhere.

But what really made the visit unforgettable happened after the meal. My motorcycle ran out of fuel, and the team went far beyond what anyone would expect to help us. First the restaurant staff jumped in, then the gift shop team, then the maintenance crew. Together, they found an old hose, helped us fashion a siphon, and got us back on the road. They genuinely cared, and they stayed with us until we solved the problem.

As the owner of Angela’s Organic Ice Cream and Iggy’s Burger, hospitality is something I think about every day. My name is Iggy, and together with my mom Angela, we’re Sonoma and Petaluma locals. We know great hospitality when we experience it, and what we received at Coastal Kitchen was exactly the kind of service we strive to deliver ourselves—treating guests like family.

“We had visited The Marshall Store before as a quick road trip pit stop and absolutely loved it—it’s no surprise the New York Times named it one of the top 50 restaurants in the US! We loved it so much that this time around, we made a special trip up from SF just to have lunch here.

The good news: the Rockefeller and Kilpatrick grilled oysters were just as incredible as we remembered. I highly recommend ordering both! The downside was that they were running a limited menu on the day we visited (a Wednesday), and they are currently not serving alcohol.

Since the menu was limited, we branched out and tried the crab sandwich and the campechana (shrimp and octopus cocktail). The crab sandwich was solid, but the campechana missed the mark for me. It came served in a sealed plastic container, which made it feel like it was store-bought, and the seafood was a bit too chewy for my liking.

Despite the hiccups, I'm still giving them 5 stars. I know firsthand how amazing this place can be, and it's on me for not checking their weekday menu changes in advance. We will definitely be back—probably on a weekend next time“

“Amazing place to get a bite. I’ve had Spud’s for a few years now. Their clam chowder is the best I’ve ever had. I live 2 hours away, but make sure I get down to bodega bay every few months. The location is awesome, parking can be not great if it’s the weekend and it’s busy. It’s also great they have specials and locally caught seafood. If you haven’t heard of Spud’s then I’m sorry for ya. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone.“

We had a claw-some taco feast at Out the Door! Tried the fish taco, mushroom taco, and schnitzel taco—each one was paws-itively delicious and packed with fur-midable flavor. The ingredients were meow-velously fresh, and every bite was bursting with a paw-some blend of textures and spices.

The fish taco was light and zesty (a real catch!), the mushroom taco had a savory richness that was un-fur-gettable, and the schnitzel taco was a meow-sterpiece with a fun twist that totally worked. It’s clear the team here knows how to whip up purr-fectly unique and memorable dishes. Highly recommend for anyone craving bold, fresh flavors!“

“You HAVE to stop by here! The crab sandwich is FANTASTIC (I inhaled it before I thought of taking a picture😆). The clam chowder is amazing as well! It even has tender scallops in it! You can sit inside or outside and the people are great, too!“

“We sat at the bar and were there during Happy Hour. The fish sliders were delicious. The pan fried local fish was delicious. I had the Cajun pasta with blackened shrimp. The sauce on the pasta wasn’t as flavorful as I expected but it was still ok. The blackened shrimp were very good. Service was excellent. Definitely a great experience.“

“Very nice to relax in a comfortable chair looking at Bodega Bay. Ronny was a great waiter, very accommodating and helpful. The Black Rice Bowl was delicious and very light . The French 75 was crisp and bright and a perfect accompaniment to the Halibut that I added to the rice bowl“

“We dined here yesterday and today for lunch Little different than yesterday The margarita was not as good. I didn't drink it but didn't send it back since. It later turned up on our bill I feel bad because it was great the other day I liked my husband's “Long Story “ so I ordered that and it was made not by the bartender but by our server . Still it was good The Cuban sandwich is what we can back for. So good. Again different than yesterday's but just served a little different There was at lunch time too many servers. Pretty much bumping into each other and no one asking if we cared for our drinks, the Cuban or if they would get us something The view is great and next time I will inquire how they make their margaritas and definitely have the Cuban The menu is limited FYI“
