“Probably rank it somewhere between 4 and 5 stars so let's round up to a 5. Got 2 sandwiches, the jambon (ham) and the Daniel Special (with prosciutto) with the latter a little saltier and richer. But both sandwiches lay on an almost perfect baguette lathered with rich butter. Every ingredient seems to be of top quality that creates a delicious sandwich. The other plus is that they offer half sandwiches!“

I just ate only eggs and left egg paste and bread because it’s really salty that I couldn’t finish them all. My iced mocha was still too sweet for my taste so I might try no sugar or syrup next time. “We loved our visit to Camel this morning. I’ve been out of the city for a while and I’m happy to see such a unique shop pop up. It reminded me of Star Wars inside ? obviously desert themed. Super sick. Love the seating upstairs. But most importantly the staff were very pleasant and the coffee was so good. I love when everything works in unison at a shop like that. Perfect americano. “MAKISUPA (est 2024) is Silver Lake's brand new coffee bar located right across the street from Blair's restaurant and adjacent to Camelot School. Their indoor has an atrium-style seating area where staff serve coffee drinks. Its tranquil atmosphere definitely attenuates the stress in your work. It’s my first time here and ordered a Cold Brew. It was perfectly made to my liking.

Service was on point and staff was nice and competent. Prices were very competitive. They are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and weekends from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. There is a free parking behind the building and surrounding neighborhood.

Overall, I had a good experience and I recommend this coffee bar. I’ll definitely come back.“

“Republik Coffee is as solid as it gets. It has good food, good coffee, and a good ambiance, which makes it a great hang out spot.The breakfast burrito, an almond danish, and a hazelnut cappuccino. It's not a large breakfast burrito, but I felt like all off the ingredients were good quality. The danish was good,and the cappuccino was solid as well.“

“Laveta is a super cute minimalistic cafe located close to echo park lake in Los Angeles. They have their own parking lot, which already is an A+. But since it is a small lot, there is street parking all around. They have really cool inside seating as well as outdoor seating.

They offer coffee, matcha and teas. But let’s not ignore the food they offer, which I highly recommend you try out! I’ve heard the burger is delicious but haven’t tried it because I’m obsessed with their Avacado toast! It’s literally the best Avacado I’ve had! Their coffee is good as well. I’ve had their iced vanilla latte, which you can’t go wrong with. I also enjoyed one of their signature coffee, the laveta.

“Came here with a group of 5 and tasted the tofu donuts and the matcha soft serve!

Good:
- Tofu donut was super unique, I couldn't tell that it was tofu
- The soft serve was amazing- so creamy and not too sweet, and the serving size was large enough for 2 people to share or maybe even 3!

Bad:
- Long lines! Super popular place so you'll wait about 10 min for your order outside and there's limited seating

The parking lot is TINY but there are meters around. The shop is also small with just 3 tables so it really is more of a grab and go place than a hang out.“

This oat milk is top tier, no separation, it’s so smooth. The Cinnamon Roll is the best I’ve had from the tangy cream cheese frosting to the pillowy soft roll itself. Everyone there is so nice & treat you with such genuine kindness. Being new to this area, and finding a gem like this place is so comforting in this big city. “We had minced pork on rice, beef noodle soup, Dan Dan noodles, basil eggplant, pork belly bun, shaved ice and dou hua.
Overall, the food is pretty good. With some fine tunes, it can be closer to the yummy level of food in Taiwan, like some red beans in dessert are still hard, Dou Hua is too dry and needs some liquid or shaved ice to go with it, traditional shaved ice is too sweet though I like it much better than Korean style shaved ice, and brown rice is too hard. Service is good. Staff is nice. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Order at the counter, self service for water, extra bowls and utensils.
We live in the west side, and we will come back to try other stuff on the menu.“

“I already had a problem trying to keep myself from going to Lou's every weekend to snag one of those delicious pastries, but now I've moved to the neighborhood, and am even closer. Danger danger! Lol. I can't say enough great things about Lou - The French On The Block. As everyone says the croissants are even better than the ones in France, the lattes are fantastic, and the service is also incredibly warm and personable. “Modern, clean cafe with yummy Asian inspired treats. We got their chocolate mochi brownie, miso cinnamon roll, and cream bun.

All were delicious, but the mochi brownie was our favorite. The miso perfectly complements the cinnamon roll and the roll still tastes sweet. The cream bun was so soft and not too sweet.

The chunks of fresh persimmon are amazing in the milk, reminiscent of jelly drinks, and it was not too sweet. The black sesame latte was also amazing. It has a rich nutty sesame flavor and was complimentary to he added espresso. The injeolmi latte was great, but when mixed with espresso, it was overpowered: it became a simple latte with soy milk. The best part of these 2 lattes was dipping the tteok into the cream foam on top. Both flavors were heavenly. The service was friendly and there is a lot of space.“

“Can’t wait to come back for a positive review after my first be bright pour-over as I think I had the best bean in North America and haven’t had a good quality of Geisha for long time.
I dropped by for a cold brew and grabbed a bag of “unique & surprising” to go and the barista shared a small cup of its cold brew for me to taste. I am glad i have tried because it was really surprised by its freshness and flavor and almost wanted to have another large cup of coffee if it’s not my first drink at that day of arrival after a 5 hr flight without a full meal😿
I followed the brew guide on the website but have cut half of the size and still get the same profile as I have had for cold brew.
I will definitely come back for other coffee drinks next time🙌

I discovered Jones in the early 2000’s during business trips to Pasadena. Through the years it became a must have visit, even during family trips. Leading the way is Rafael. He’s calm and welcoming and his presence is felt every where. In fact, during a 2021 visit he spotted my family and me, came over to greet us, and fondly recalled my children who he hadn’t seen in close to 8 years.
