“The food is great but be aware that it is a bit on the over priced side. Service is ok, needs some improvement as the cashier taking our order was somewhat confused about the menu or she could have been new. “Family owned and operated truck located in Boyle Heights / East LA area that specializes in tacos arabes and goodies from Puebla in general. The tacos arabes were a result of Lebanese immigrants to the area and boy are they delicious. I came here later on a Thursday night so it wasn't very busy and it was pretty chill. Just a few other people around me. The folks here were friendly and helpful. I ordered:A taco arabe especiale- their signature taco with their marinated roast pork on this soft flower tortilla. This was topped Oaxacan cheese and slices of avocado (especiale). There was this chipotle sauce on top of everything. The sauce added some smokiness to an already great flavor and texture profile. I really liked that flour tortilla. Quesadilla de flor de calabaza - zucchini blossoms with melted Oaxacan cheese inside a blue corn tortilla. Love corn and I love this. Nice and chewy with earthy and slightly sweet flavors to go along with their delicious salsaDefinitely recommend for tacos/ quesadillas etc etc or if you are just in the mood for something a little different.“

“This place is pretty awesome. Tons of different kinds of crazy good food. I got the cookies, the shrimp skewers, Thai fried chicken, and mango sticky rice ice cream. Takes a while to wait in line but totally worth it. Also the DJ there is pretty good as well so you have decent tunes to listen to while you wait for the vendors. Rest of the mall area is pretty chill lots of thrift and high end clothing stores“

“Hands down, the best, best birria tacos I've ever had!!I've been eyeing this taco truck for the longest time when I was looking for birria tacos. I missed the chance to go from the last time I came by. Many other taco vendors also recommend this truck for goat birria tacos.We got some goat birria quesatacos, labio taco dorados, which were lips, asada vampiro, and of course, gotta get consome. Not many places have goat birria, and most of the time, they tend to be too dry. Those quesatacos were super tender, juicy, cheesy, and packed with tons of spices and flavors. Dipping in the beefy, hardy consome, game over. I've never seen beef lips before, so I gotta give a try. It got the texture of beef tongue, also quite delicious. Like any other taco trucks and vendors, service is always impeccable. Everyone is very friendly and supportive to other vendors. I said it once, and I'm gonna say it again. The best birria tacos!!!“

“Been coming to this place for years at least twice a month. The tortas never disappoint. I've placed phone orders and they never get it wrong unlike other places. Their customer service is good. In my opinion, it's the best tortas in Los Angeles. However, my only critique is the fact that they are extremely stingy with the napkins and even worse, with the salsa. They give 2 napkins and 1 salsa per torta. If you ask them for more salsa they charge extra. Apart from this, they only accept cash. We are in 2024 they should be accepting card or at least Zelle/Cashapp. All that being said, I'm still a loyal costumer who will keep enjoying these delicious tortas but that wants more napkins and salsa lol“

“Location a bit unusual, but I am not from the area, so maybe it is not. The service was fine. The prices were good. Our foreign exchange student had pollo and asada, which he enjoyed, but said the steak was the better of the two. My partner had the vampiro, which she loved. Finally, I had the quesataco with chivo. It had just the right amount of juice and gaminess. The offer a wide variety of tasty salsas and drinks. With the countless options in the LA area, I would have to be near it or have a goat craving to eat here again.“

“4+ Considered one of the best by many or at least one of the most popular taco spots in Los Angeles. They have a good variety of items and meats, but I would say they are most known for their al pastor (marinated, spit-roasted pork that is usually served with a slice/ chunk of pineapple). The service here is pretty efficient since they have to be - there's almost always a line. The vibe: depending on the time of day or night you come, it's usually a mixed group of people wanting to try this spot, people eating after a drinking session, or just people looking for decently priced tacos. One of the times I was here, I was standing behind Dante Basco (Rufio!), haha. Usually a fun vibe for sure. My usual here is two tacos (typically the al pastor) and a mulita. It used to be that there was a toppings and salsa bar where you would dress up your food. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or people taking advantage and taking too much stuff home, you now have to go to a separate window to ask for the toppings and salsa and they're individually packaged. I definitely think this place is worth going for the al pastor. I myself have been here multiple times. Parking can be tough, but if you are going during the week there's usually parking along the street facing south on LA Brea right around the corner. Just be careful though as it is a relatively high traffic area and some people seem to drive recklessly in this area.“

“I recently had dinner (reservations are a must) here in Downtown L.A.'s Arts District and was blown away by the entire experience from the moment I walked through that giant heavy wood door. With an evolving menu dependent of local California produce and focusing primarily on wood-fired and charcoal-fueled grill and stove cooking, Chef Junya Yamasaki and Team take you on a journey for all of your senses. “Nice little casual place to grab a bite. You order your food at the food truck window and can go into a separate building to sit down. Tacos were tasty and the best part was having different topping options, a couple salsas, pickled onions, Cilantro, Radish, cucumber etc. We were on our way from Orange County up to the Bay Area and wanted to eat quickly to keep driving. “I stay eating in East Los Angeles because it's my hometown and hands down we have some f the best food ever. My husband and I love Mariscos. We're always willing to try new places. This lunch truck so happens to park by my house. We were hungry and wanted something refreshing and Maye Mariscos was our pick. The lady was very nice and they had a line of people. We knew it was good when people we're ordering for the next day already. She has a very good variety of things. They had so many different tostadas, their tacos were so good. I got the camarones en salsa negra and a taco de pescado. My husband had the aguachiles verde and a tostada mixta. Everything we got was delicious we definitely made a great choice by coming. The location is a lunch truck there are chairs and a little table where you can sit and eat your food. They also have take-out and they're there every day as far as I'm aware. I definitely give them 5 start plus five more if you're ever in East Los stop by and try these mariscos. They will not disappoint you.“
“These are addictive, juicy tacos that when you eat, you have to hit the pause button on any other activity going on...they are just that mind blowing. Afterwards you'll be thinking, when can my stomach take some more because they're so overpowering you won't be able to shake them from your mind. A modest tent set up outside a convenience store, next to the "Mirror Motel" along a backstreet in the Watts neighborhood converts into a carnival of flavor at the weekends when Mathew starts cooking beef asada and birria stew and toasts up his tacos on the hot iron griddle. Here is the bonafide, authentic people's kitchen taste of Los Angeles, far from some gentrified, corporate chain, cookie cutter, sterile offering in Beverly Hills. These tacos filled with stew represent the way food is served at home, not a smorgasboard of menu choices, just a couple of things done well, consistently, and dependably. They represent the taste of the working masses of Los Angeles whose bloodlines in this city are long while weaving in influences from various Mexican regions. It doesn't get more rustic and truly delightful than Mathew's tent stall where the corn tortillas are dipped in stew juices to soften them up before they are toasted on the griddle. His vat of birria conjures up the warmth and depth of roasted onions, cinammon, chiles, and slow cooked meat that falls into shreds off your fingers as you slurp up the juices. At $1.50 a pop Mathew's tacos are overflowing with complex flavor and are sensually overwhelming. You can tease the palate with fresh radishes and a suite of fresh tomato salsas, pickled onion and chilli sauces set out to garnish the tacos. The backstreet experience is indelible from your mind. I'm dreaming of going back next weekend. Please bear in mind he's only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as I understand it.“

“This has to be the best ceviche I've ever had. They serve it on a food truck and they have some seats by the truck to enjoy your food. Now you're thinking theres no way the food is fresh if its served on a truck. Well the quality and textures here are 5 stars. My friends and I ordered the Tacos de Camaron, Poseidon and Mixta. The octopus and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Not too chewy and the combination of citrus with their house made salsa were perfect. Between the 4 of us this was plenty of food. Prices are reasonable and portions are great. Wait times can be long, but well worth it. Theres a big parking lot across the street and plenty of street parking around the corner. I would recommend eating right away as the food can get soggy.“

They have tables and chairs available so you can enjoy your food right there in the parking lot. They also have a restroom which is a major plus.“

“I stopped by this evening with my sister in law after a Dr. Appt down the street when putting gas I could smell the cooking. I ordered 3 tacos and champurado basic of asada my sister n law ordered 2 de tripas and 1 lengua and a large jaimica. Wow the food was really really delicious like it was made from your home kitchen very tasteful. The service was very fast and they were polite and helpful. I am definitely coming back even though I'm about 30 min away it's worth it. They are located on Redondo and Vermount Gardena.“

That being said, Chef Francisco deserves all the praise he’s already received and more.The food here is one of the best example of fresh seafood you’ll find anywhere in California, let alone LA. “This is one of 3 reviews, that will have the same introduction! I decided to do my own version of a "taco crawl" and tested out 3 taco trucks I've driven by and have been wanting to try out! All 3 are in the SGV, and I'm SO glad to have tried them! El Pastorcito Taco II is outside of the Arcadia Park off Santa Anita Ave & just south of Huntington Drive. Based on the name, Al Pastor is their specialty, so naturally I picked out the Al Pastor taco! With a smokey flavor, onions & cilantro and a nicely sliced piece of pineapple topping the taco, it was worth the $2.50 it cost, and was rich in taste! Staff here were friendly, though it wasn't a super busy weekday evening. No seating here, which is totally fine, and it is by a big parking lot, so plan ahead to eat in your car, especially since you want to eat it hot & fresh! No worries though, everything comes on a Styrofoam tray, works great! A decent variety of other items on their menu as well - definitely a go-to when I want to get some legit al pastor tacos!“

Seriously I bet this place starts engines in heaven every day because the Kearny Asada burrito I ate could’ve been 12 feet long and I would’ve eaten at all. I really enjoyed the sauce is too I picked up a good old Mexican Coke to wash it down I love that they take cards because I rarely carry cash. The way it was perfect I only had to wait about a total of six minutes which means that everything was cooked super fresh the packaging was fantastic I absolutely love these guys I would follow them wherever they go. The salsa and whatever delicious sauce they added made each but welcome the next the meat had a ton of flavor I actually enjoyed the fact that I got radishes and sautéed onions on the side so I could dip it in the sauce and eat it all… I’ve eaten the packaging to if I had more of the sauce it was so good“

“Who doesn't love cupcakes!? While out and about, I came across Coco’s Lip Smacking Cupcakes. The sign said it all for me and I had to check it out. When I entered, the space was very clean, organized, and just very appealing to the eye. The aesthetic was very cute and definitely my vibe. They offer a bunch of different yummies including cookies, cake, cobbler, and of course, cupcakes. The lady was very sweet and helpful. I went with a dozen cupcakes. I got a variety of different flavors. I got red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, cookies & cream, and a few others.The cupcakes were so good!! “I highly recommend. This is a great taco business. It is located on a corner and there is a several parking spaces belonging to the building they're parked in front of, very convenient. There is no seating area but they have a self serve table full of salsas and toppings to prep as you need. The lady taking the order is very friendly, very patient, that is very important to me. The tacos are small in size but the amount of meat inside the taco is decent. I recommend the buche, suadero, lengua and they used to have tripa but i was told it was not selling as much so they took it off the menu unfortunately. I've had their nachos and they fry their own tortilla chips and it's very delicious. This is definitely my new taco spot.“

“My coworkers had recommended this place after watching a Netflix documentary and let me tell you the story behind the restaurant is very heart warming. The food on the other is belly warming. If you come here the must is the carnitas tacos. Duh, simply the meat very tender and not fatty and the portions are big. I had two tacos and you can definitely make 4 with them and double it. The winner on the other hand I would say is the mafita. Pure hot cheesy mixed meat goodness. It's a giant carnitas taco with mixed meat with cheese. I don't think there's anything else I can say about this place. The other reviews speak for themselves but do watch the special about this place before you go. “Cruda was a fantastic spot. I was excited to try the camarones culichi. I was so thankful for the waitress that helped us and let me know that the culichi was a bit spicy that day (usually it's not that spicy) so I ended up skipping it and getting the shrimp tacos. So ask your server if the culichi is spicy before ordering. I don't do well with spicy. The ambiance was very neat - love the neon sign. If you know you know! ;) Overall, great place a little pricy but ask for the specials if they have any. we got double the oysters because they were having a sale. Solid place.“
