“So today my family wanted pick up stix and I didn't want to get pickup stix due to the odd interaction I had last time I went in. I have been going to this location for years and have never had any issue besides the last visit. There is a cashier that is an older gentleman who refuses to give extra sauce and will literally go back and forth over a couple sauce packets. I am buying for 3 people and the 2 siracha that he said is already in the bag is not enough. I decided oh well it probably will not be a thing today, but unfortunately the same guy today did it again. I asked him what the issue was and he stated that the sauce is in the bag already. I asked do I need to pay for extra sauce and if so I will, he stated no I don't need to then finally agreed to give me sauce. I have never ran into this situation ever at any restraunt where when I am paying for the meal I have to argue and ask several times for a couple extra packets of sauce. It's wild and unprofessional to think you need to argue with a customer over 4 siracha packets.“

“I have eaten Vietnamese cuisine throughout California, and Grandpa Tao ranks among the best. In addition to the amazing tastes, the casual restaurant is friendly and comfortable. Ingredients are fresh, the environment clean and relaxing. I particularly recommend the Pho, the Rice Vermicelli (try it!) and the Shaking beef. You'll like it.“

“I have been craving good Thai for a few years. I have tried some not good and some okay other places. Thai Time is so good. The aromas of the spices tortured my already empty stomach with the enticement of good food to come. I have fallen in love with the food and customer service. I will be back as my budget allows.“

“This place gets pretty busy on weekends! The parking lot may be full but you can still park along the street. It’s pretty large so there’s usually seats. I love the borracho fries, so good! Also the pulled pork and the cheeseburger are tasty too. The service is good as well. My one complaint is they run out of their popular items by 2pm, tri tip and hot links get sold out really fast. I know they can only bbq so much but maybe add some more of the popular meats?“

“Easily a 5 star review I sat and waited for a pie and it was very delicious! And even better the customer service was exceptional!!!! As I waited I was offered a nice lemon water and was greeted twice was told that the business was started in 1955…. Wow good job for that and again thank you for the feeling of being welcomed in the restaurant

“Not familiar with restaurants in this area we decided to give this place a try. It was a great lunch. We ordered the house vermicelli and the meatballs pho.
The meat of the vermicelli was tasty, and the veggies were fresh.
The pho had a good flavor.
The mango slushy was delicious.
We are planning on coming back, this time to try their stew that looks great.“

My dad’s favorite meal is breakfast and do they for sure have endless choices of good brunch food.

My favorite? The seasonal dishes. Like the pecan pumpkin pancakes. So good I still drool thinking about it.

“I'm surprised I've never reviewed. Beef 'n Bun. First, it would be hard to find a better milkshake in the County, but they've always excelled in their burgers and fish (like another place I know 😉). Fries? I'm generally not a fan of crinkle cut fries, and theirs didn't do much to change that.
That aside, I was in the area and since I haven't had anything besides a banana shake in a few years, so I went in for a monster burger combo upgraded with a large banana shake. A quick note - I tried to get a banana shake in Vegas several weeks back. I've never seen so many blank stares in my life. Sad.
My shake came out first, as always. But I wasn't expecting a THREE PATTY cheeseburger. Surprise! It used to be a respectable 2-patty that I could finish and still breathe. Not this thing. It's obscene and decadent and meaty and cheesy. The onions, tomatoes and pickles don't stand a chance against the meat sunami. The bun is there to make it look like a burger, but don't expect it to hold up for long. You're on your own. Just don't accidentally bite your hand off. I think B&B did great by making the monster burger just that. I tried my best, but I ate too many of their FRIES. Curse them, these were cooked longer and had more salt than the old crinkle fries. I have no complaints. I would throw in a picture, but it's about 2/3 finished and gross like a meat-car crash with my face.
As for the banana shake, I just finished it - 90 minutes later. I'm so glad this place has been so good for so long.“

“Love, love, love El Cajon Bistro! It really is the best breakfast in town. Almost as if the North Park brunch scene found its way to east county, and I'm so happy it did. I always get a Benedict, the poached eggs are always perfect and the hollandaise is satisfying. The salsa that came with the breakfast potatoes was SO GOOD. I will be dreaming about it until I can have it again. My grandma and I always come here whenever I am in town. Highly recommend.“

“I've always seen this place passing by and one day I'm like let me go in here and try this, and I must say I definitely experienced one of the best philly cheesesteak sandwiches that I've ever tried, no cap! Everything was hot and fresh, The Atmosphere gives a sense of nostalgia- I would say how a restaurant used to be and should be! Customer service was definitely exceptional and welcoming. “I ordered 5 Ground Beef Kabob Skewers , 5 Chicken Tikka Skewers, 1 chicken cream chop, 1 Shawarma Wrap, Rice, Hummus & Salad. Served with Pita Bread, Grilled So when I got home I find out there is only 4 Ground Beef kabob and 4 chicken Tikka And that was so embarrassing for me because I invited 5 people for lunch That was really bad experience“

“I was having new tires installed across the street from Silva’s and I asked the clerk at the tire store if Silva’s was pretty good - he said, “Fantastic!”. I ordered a machaca burrito with a side of spicy pickled carrots and it was served quickly. The ratio of seared pork to eggs was perfect with the right amount of grilled bell peppers and onions. The flavor was better than the machaca I make myself and I consider myself a connoisseur. I’m going to make it a point to go back and try some of my other favorites.“

The flavor, the freshness the overall flavor has been spot on. The size of the burritos a pound maybe 1.5 pounds will fill you up. The Steak and Egg Burrito is the BOMB if your hungry you wont be after eating this bad boy!!!! Good crew working there Clean facility just a smidge off the street you sorta have to look for it but its worth it dont fail your appetite!!!!“
