“First time here as I was just visiting in town. Food was fast to come out and staff was very friendly. I got a slider and tender combo both hot. Was kinda heavy on paprika but still oddly sweet. Not my favorite, but I think I'd like it a lot more if got a more mild flavor or even spicier depending on what seasonings they use. The chicken itself was very moist and well made. I'd definitely come by again if in the area.“

We ordered the Desi chicken wings, the mixed platter, and fire fries with chicken. The mixed platter included chicken boti, beef boti, tandoori chicken, and lamb chops. Food was amazing. Very flavorful. Kashmiri chai served on Fridays and Saturdays.

“The food here is excellent and the staff are incredibly friendly. The line can be long on weekend mornings as a function of the food being so yummy. So be prepared to wait a little. It’s also halal, which is rare among non-vegetarian breakfast items. So that’s a huge plus.“

“The restaurant itself is not in the best location, and the interior and bathroom isn't the best. But we went in and were welcomed so warmly for dinner when the place wasn't busy. We got the chicken biryani, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala. The biryani is one of the best I have ever had in the US and the garlic naan was perfect and fluffy but crispy. The chicken tikka masala was creamy, not overcooked, and well seasoned. The best Indian restaurant we went to in East Bay. Would come again.“

“The chicken halal plate from this place is Beyond DELICIOUS! If you like halal food, you won’t be disappointed eating here. It’s pretty good. The block it’s in can be sketchy at times, so practice caution when parking, stay alert and quick purchasing. They also have really good herbs, seasonings and products to purchase.“

“My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time here celebrating his birthday. We were offered a comped glass of champagne since we were celebrating. The place definitely gives swanky steakhouse but with a more modern twist. I HIGHLY recommend the Pavé Tots with caviar, the steak tartare, the potato puree and the truffle bordelais sauce. You really can't go wrong with any steak you choose. If you're a cutlery or a knife nerd, they let you choose your own steak knife from their eclectic collection of hand made knives. Today for lunch, my coworker and I stopped by Pronto Pizzeria, and from the moment we walked in, I could tell we were in for something special. The first thing that stood out was how incredibly clean and well-organized the place was—everything looked fresh, spotless, and inviting. The menu was clear and easy to navigate, and let me just say… the prices are absolutely unbeatable, especially for San Francisco!

I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, and let me tell you—this wasn’t just a sandwich... it was an experience. The guy in my photos (I wish I got his name!) was genuinely one of the kindest and most helpful people I’ve ever encountered behind a counter. He walked me through the menu with such care and enthusiasm, you could tell he truly cared about the food and the customer experience. Just great energy all around.

When my sandwich was ready, he handed me the first half, packed the rest up neatly, and asked to see my reaction on the first bite. I took that bite and—no joke—I stood up, spun in a circle, and did a little happy dance. That’s how good it was.

Served on perfectly toasted sourdough, this Philly Cheesesteak was melty, spicy, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable. The cheese pull? Arm-length. The meat was juicy, the spice level was just right (though fair warning: that last bite had some serious heat—so make sure you’re into spicy food if you order it spicy like I did!). Every single ingredient was perfectly portioned, and the balance of flavors was masterfully done. As someone who considers themselves a bit of a sandwich connoisseur, this was easily top 3 best sandwiches I’ve had in my life.

As if that wasn't enough, the same gentleman offered me a complimentary item when I returned—just out of kindness and genuine hospitality. You don’t see that kind of thoughtful customer service every day. It wasn’t just good food—it was a vibe. Clean, kind, flavorful, and professional. What more can you ask for?

They also had a selection of homemade desserts that looked absolutely delicious, but unfortunately I was too full to indulge. Next time, I’ll be saving room!

To sum it up: If I could give this place 10 stars out of 5, I would. I’m officially a regular from this day forward. If you ever come across Pronto Pizzeria, do yourself a favor—go in, treat yourself, and thank me later. You won’t regret it.

“Cheap, simple and filling. Way cheaper than oasis grill. A lamb/beef shawarma is standard and the meat tastes good, priced about 12 bucks. (oasis is around 21 bucks) Good serving size too. The lamb/beef is halal thankfully, heads up the chicken is not halal. Overall I like this since it's convenient, quick, saving. Staff is extremely friendly. Go to in the neighborhood. I could be ignorant) I didn’t expect the yogurt drink to be a savory drink but I guess I need some more research on it. It also kinda makes sense as it balances out the fatty meat. The rice pudding also melts in ur mouth. Not too sweet with a hint of cardamom.“

Our group of four sampled the following:

Meaza Platter: A good starter. Due to an eggplant allergy, we requested the baba ghanoush be served separately. This request prompted another reminder that the focus is on wine, not food. While they wouldn't serve the baba ghanoush on a separate plate, they offered to substitute it with more of another item, like hummus.
Chicken Shawarma: This was the most popular dish among our group. The chicken was flavorful, and the portion size was generous, suitable for one person or for sharing.
Beef and Lamb Shawarma: A decent dish, but not as well-received as the chicken shawarma. The portion size was comparable to the chicken shawarma.
Cucumber Salad: A refreshing addition to the meats and rice.
Basmati Rice: Both shawarma plates included rice, but we ordered an extra portion.
Pita Bread: We were told the pita bread was homemade and fresh. However, the bowl contained a mix of textures: half resembled Stacy's pita chips, while the other half was soft wheat pita. The combination wasn't ideal, particularly as the soft pita warmed the crispy pieces.
