“This place serves CHEESE STUFFED NAAN. It's just so legit. You can ask them to stack multiple as whole cheesy pillows or get the standard single-sliced-into-4 basket. Also everything on the menu I've tasted so far is deliciously layered and complex, satisfyingly spicy and salty, and just good solid comfort-food tasty. Only short is that it gets chilly during dinner with the doors open for when they bring out our tandoori (sizzling plates). Dinner here on the weekend brings out families and friend groups along with me and my trans partner.

“Amazingly great food. This is one of those gems that make a neighborhood. Attached to a gas station, but dont let that fool you, this is one of those truck-driver diaspora bodegas where they sell excellent Halal food for the many muslim drivers who need Halal foos along their route.“

The block it’s in can be sketchy at times, so practice caution when parking, stay alert and quick purchasing. They also have really good herbs, seasonings and products to purchase.“

“Yesterday I had the pleasure of walking into this family owned establishment, The environment was clean, and the people were very kind. The menu was exceptional with great prices. I got the chicken Marcella, the naan, and the salmon which was the daily special. The chicken Masala was perfectly spiced. I got the mild because I can't eat spicy food. I dipped the naan in it and it tasted perfect. The naan was big and fresh and its own separate bag, so I was able to take it home and munch on it later now the salmon was delicious. It was super crispy and juicy on the inside, and the seasoning was complementary to the fish. it was wonderful to be able to talk to the Chef and get to know the people that cooked my food. The chef that's been working there. He's on the establishment for a while and he's been cooking for over 40 years. He also told me that he is from New York, which definitely shows in his food because this Indian Pakistani restaurant is definitely authentic. I will drive an hour and a half to come back here again. Definitely would recommend them for Catering or a nice dinner date.“

“Tried it for the first time yesterday. We’ve walked by many times during lunch, thinking it was just another fast food chicken place…..finally gave it a try. It was excellent and staff was friendly. Chicken was fresh and crispy. They have many spice levels to choose from. Medium was plenty hot for me. The chicken tender was great, but the sliders were even better. Totally recommend this place!“

“Cheap, simple and filling. Way cheaper than oasis grill. A lamb/beef shawarma is standard and the meat tastes good, priced about 12 bucks. (oasis is around 21 bucks) Good serving size too. The lamb/beef is halal thankfully, heads up the chicken is not halal. Overall I like this since it's convenient, quick, saving. Staff is extremely friendly. Go to in the neighborhood. Will be visiting more often.“

“Noor is an absolute gem. The food is consistently exceptional - fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. We’ve tried nearly everything on the menu (samosas, paneer rolls, chana, butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, paneer tikka masala, and more), and every dish has been a hit. We’ve gone back several times, and it’s been a guaranteed success every single visit.

Recently, we hosted a Diwali party for 30 people and asked Noor to cater..with only six days’ notice. Nity, the owner, personally called to plan the menu. She was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating, offering thoughtful suggestions and adjustments without hesitation. Her quote was also refreshingly reasonable, and the entire process was seamless, truly one of the easiest party experiences I’ve had.

The food was the star of the evening, everyone raved about it. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a more reliable restaurant to partner with. Noor has earned a permanent spot on my go-to list, and I’ve already recommended them to others in our community (who’ve loved them just as much). “I got Karahi Gosht and it was authentic and flavorful. Serving quantity was decent as well. I live in the South Bay and most places over there don't get this dish right. 5* from me, for the Karahi Gosht and Naan. Service understandably took some time because they make it fresh and piping hot. And I went there in between performances of standup comedy at Cobb's next door.“

The portions were very generous for $8 and 95 sense. There was so much left over. I couldn't even finish it. The customer service was great and was very Friendly. But not very many places to sit. Because it's part restaurant part convenience store. But they are one of the only restaurants that you can sit down at and have access to an electrical outlet.“

“Ive been eating at Shalimar for 27 years-I have eaten 100 if not 1000s of Indian places globally including NY LA UK DE GE etc. THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE. I had it tonight and sometimes its like how can it get better than that one time and then it is. The Tikka is unique and 1000% its own recipe apart from any I have ever found. Its simple but mega flavor, not overtly creamy a little oily but it the Tikka I compare all others too. Now I have had Indonesian that dresses up dishes like no other but for straight up dishes its the jam. Also the oven baked tandooris are over the top good too. Too bad Im moving finally from SF. This place is very much a part of me and my history, all the old times with friends (even the old Polk location)....all the conversations with staff, so friendly and nice. It will be missed!“

We had Mango lassi, pani puri , samosa, chicken Momo, Briyani, paneer lababda, muglai chicken, butter naan, butter chicken,jeera rice ,Chicken Briyani, tres lache cake and lal Mohan with ice cream . “What an amazing night at Chez Mansour! We went to watch Terga Group, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The music was incredible, the ambiance was vibrant and welcoming, and the food was delicious.

On top of that, the owner is extremely kind and made us feel right at home. You can really feel the passion and care behind this place. A perfect spot for a great evening with live music, good vibes, and amazing food.

“I got the chef's creation chicken shawarma and it was very tasty, but I felt it needed a little acid or freshness. I had some of the mint cilantro chutney with it and it helped. The hummus was great and pitas chips were crunchy but needed salt. The real standout food item was the complimentary lentil soup. It was full of flavor and had a nice consistency. For lunchtime on a Saturday, it was not busy so we were served quickly and there was plenty of seating. I thought my food was expensive, but my husband had a create-your-own shawarma and felt his had good value since you can get as many toppings as you'd like. Would go again and try a create-your-own.“
