“Food quality-wise, i can tell how this reataurant has been surviving for really a long time. Since my little sons cannot eat spicy food, I tried to find non-spicy food and ordered. Lamb skew: i am picky with lamb and this dish was really good. No strong smell, not too chewy, properly seasoned. Kungpao chicken: not spicy version i think. Sauce flavor is just properly sweet, chicken is tender, nuts are also properly cooked. Radish and beef soup: this would be very healthy. Ox tail might be cooked inside for a long time(asian way) and i can taste the deep flavor. Potato slice dish(forgot the name): although it was not my sons' favorite, i think it is tasty enough. Nothing really special to describe. Price: 4 dishes total 91$ including 18% tips. INCLUDING TIPS........ can you not show me a screen with minimum 18% tip while it is a takeout order....? Customized 0 tip right in front of staff when they are looking at me is really tricky.“

“I've eaten here multiple times and the food has always been stellar - if I could rate higher than 5* I would. I particularly love the 然面 and 担担面 but you truly can't go wrong here. Just don't forget to mix your noodles 18 times! Truly one of my favourite spots in SGV and a place I'll continue to visit “

“We had a great time here! It felt like you were transported to the mountains of China. The food was artfully presented, and it was fun to have something different in a sea of Chinese restaurants. Our group wasn’t into the super spicy, so we didn’t try the ma-la stuff. The service was not super proactive but we were served quickly when we did ask for anything. All in all a great experience. Follow @teamibrahimre for more reviews & local highlights!Kid-friendliness: My kids loved the koi pond and the rocks ?There were enough non-spicy foods that my kids could enjoy.“

“I love spicy food and everything on the menu sounded so good. Ordered takeout and food was packed neatly and ready for pickup in 20 min. Loved the dry pot tofu dish we ordered, not spicy but good. Gizzard was very flavorful. Intestines were a bit soggy but Pbb because we took it to go. Might taste better in the restaurant. Will be back to try more dishes.“

“Had a good time hanging out with my friends. Self-service picking ingredients: vegetables, meat, fish balls, shrimps, noodles, tofu, etc. You pay per pound. I feel good with a lot of varieties. After picking ingredients, you can choose soup from four different soup bases. They will cook and serve you in a big bowl. I love marinated chicken gizzards. I tried mild spicy original bone soup. Would love to try the same soup with medium spiciness and also tom yum soup.“

“Looking for authentic Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine? There’s a hidden gem in San Gabriel that’s worth trying. They have some really spicy dishes but if you’re like me and can’t handle too spicy, they have some wonderful non-spicy options. Check out their lunch specials!Andrea, Jessica and the rest of the staff are wonderful with customers! They are so welcoming and attentive, treating everyone like friends and making the customers feel at home. They have separate rooms available and are perfect for parties as well. I love the outdoor patio area! Now, let’s talk about the food…Everything was absolutely delicious!! Big portion sizes as well. It was enough to feed me and my 2 boys and still have some food to take home. The Smoked Duck was tender and succulent! The Lamb Chops were fall off the bone tender and so flavorful! Love the crispy texture of the Stir-Fried Noodles with Beef. You can get them soft or crispy. The Diced Beef Tenderloin was our favorite!! So juicy and perfectly cooked! Great balance of flavors! There’s a small parking lot so you may need to park on the street. At first I wasn’t sure if I was at the right place, but it was lol So, if you just follow the directions, you’ll find it.We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!“

“If you have never done hotpot before, make sure you come with someone who knows. They are not good at explaining or helping out.I would recommend to come with 4 people at least, this way you can order to share more things (meat, fish, vegetables, whatever you like).I had the gold broth (chicken soup broth) and their original broth (spicy level 1). It felt very spicy to me but I usually like mild. So it makes sense.“

“2023.09.16 \First visit/Originally, I wasn’t very interested in eating noodles in LA, but Flavor Noodles changed my mind. This time I ordered fatty beef noodles in sour soup, Sichuan style fat intestine noodles, and red oil noodles. I can’t choose which one is more delicious, I like them both! Looking forward to ordering something else on my next visit that I didn't have the stomach for this time.2024.01.09\Second interview/I finally had the opportunity to visit for a second time, but today I was a bit disappointed. I ordered beef noodles with raw pepper, Sichuan-style fat intestine noodles, and red oil noodles. The Chao Shou was more delicious than the last time I had it, but the taste of both bowls of noodles was a bit bland. Last time the sausage was very full, but today it looks thin. The beef noodles with raw pepper are quite spicy. Will be willing to visit again to see if today was just an anomaly, but will order back the beef noodles in sour soup next time.Recommended: Fatty Beef Noodles in Sour Soup“

“This has become our regular take out spot for Chinese food. The prices are very reasonable, portions are good, and flavors are fantastic! The hot pepper chicken (山城辣子鸡) is a must for any fans of spicy fried chicken. We also love the beef pan fried noodle and Kung Pao chicken. The house spicy pots are good too if you can handle the spice! The restaurant is pretty small with just a few tables, but definitely clean and cozy.“

“One of my favorite Sichuan Pot in the area. They use plenty of food and sauce inside the broth. For the Fish fillet and Frog in Sichuan Mala Broth, it's the size for two people with many fish fillet and frogs inside the large pot. Though it's a little bit spicy, the proteins are pretty good with the fantastic taste. The staff told me that their boss asked them to add enough food to ensure customers' satisfaction. What a great experience of dining here. Attention to adjust the spicy level for any one of the pots.“

“- Clean authentic Sichuan restaurant- It’s authentic so it’s actually real spicy- This is what you should order1. Toothpick Lamb - Crispy and juicy.2. Fried Pork Intestine - again, Crispy and juicy without the chili overpowering the sweetness of the intestine3. Fried Pork Kidney - Spicy and oily just how a Chinese pork kidney should be. The kidney is not tough but juicy and “crunchy”4. Mao Xie Wang - A mix pot of everything from pork blood to tripes. Generous portion and chili. Goes very well with rice5. Stir Fry A-Choy - I always order this with Sichuan or Hunan food. Something neutral for all the spices. Will definitely come again.“

“I gave a 5 star because I really want this business to do well!1. The service was great for a Chinese place. It's one lady working the whole front. She was nice and attentive, she was even kind to the delivery pick up people that came in, and packed the to go for me at the end of my meal!2. Delicious food, good portions. Comparatively, it's the lower price of what you can find of quality Chinese food. I don't recommend getting the fresh cut fish because they actually fillet the fish so there are some fine bones and it's not cleaned very well. Flavor still good and didn't bother me. The cold noodle is a must, less on the tangy side and more on spice. I do love that the chili in this dish is very clean and doesn't have that burnt taste some other places have. I was only able to try 2 dishes but I would definitely come back for more.3. The restaurant is very spacious but it's not a bougie place. Come here for a good meal, not the view. There's definitely bigger tables that can seat large parties.4. Parking is probably the worst since it's mostly streets and it's on a big street. But not difficult to find parking though you may have to walk a few steps.Would love to see this restaurant thrive.“

“Casually serving up some of the finest Sichuan Chinese food in all of LA. Strongly recommend the cold dishes including the little sister rabbit and the jelly noodles (as long as you don't mind eating around the bones). They truly deliver on the classic slowly building tongue numbing heat that makes Sichuan food special, balancing with savory flavors that makes each bite a small triumph. I guess there's a reason this place has been an SGV staple for so many years.“

“One of the better hotpot places locally and possibly a new favorite. Ingredients are fresh and the sauce bar has a plethora of snack choices. Although not all you can eat, the prices are very fair and surprisingly low for such quality.Service was pretty fast. The atmosphere is historic in a very cozy way.“

“Great spot if you like mala (numbing and spicy) hotpot. It's Chongqing style, so spicy means spicy, and there are quite a few Sichuan peppercorns floating around--some don't like that, but I love it and that's exactly what I was looking for. They do have split pots so that you can get half spicy half not if you have a group with mixed preferences. Service was really good, and the sauce bar was legit, complete with all the most important elements in quantity for mixing up a dipping sauce just how you like it. It also had a good selection of other snacks, mostly carbs, but also a really nice pickled radish. Could be improved with a little fruit, like some sliced cantaloupe or something, but I'm not complaining.“

“Authentic Chinese food! Will definitely come back again! My favorite food is hot and sour noodles and big steamed buns. This is the first time I have eaten such delicious hot and sour noodles in the United States. The skin of the steamed buns is very soft and the soup inside is delicious.“

“Hands down one of the most authentic Chinese food you can get in California.I ordered the Chili garlic pork slice, Kung Pao Chicken and the sweet and sour croaker fish. All of the flavors are pretty spot on, the only thing that I could point out is the texture of the pork slices are a bit soft. Not to mention for the food this quality the price is very reasonable compared to other Chinese restaurants that doesn’t have good enough flavors.Definitely a place I would go back to, probably by tomorrow.“
“My wife loves the Hibiscus Tree Combo #1 loaded with marinated beef, shrimp, beef tripe, crab stick, fish ball, spam, quail egg, bean curd, bean sprouts, enoki mushrooms, black fungus, winter melon. So much great stuff inside. We use DoorDash for food deliveries. But I've came by twice to pick up takeout. The parking lot is always full and hard to find parking so we prefer DoorDash and let them deal with the parking situation.“

“Have you had a dry Hot Pot?Tasty Dining has these Griddle Cooked Foods that comes with potatoes, cauliflower, celery and bean sprouts. You choose the proteins such as Bullfrog, Squid, Pork Ribs and Beef Short Ribs like I did! The squid was my favorite! I’d order a double portion of squid next time! There’s a variety of veggies, mushrooms, tofu and meat, like fish balls, quail eggs, crab sticks, beef tripe, pork belly and more for an extra charge. I added pork belly to one of my griddles. I’d order a double portion of pork belly next time! Adding all the extras can start to add up. But, I feel like these griddles need more protein. The flavors really packed a punch! You control the spice. Of course, I got extra mild for us.Griddle (mild spicy)✧ Bullfrog✧ added Pork RibsGriddle (mild spicy)✧ Squid✧ Beef Short Ribs✧ added Napa Cabbage✧ added Noodles✧ added Pork Belly“

“If you are into spicy Chinese food, then you will love this place. This eatery serves Chengdu style food (a sub-part of Szechuan cuisine). It had the same 麻辣 taste for all of their dishes (literal translation: numb & hot pepper spicy) as in a typical Szechuan dish. Numbing effects came from black & white peppercorns, which you can taste quite distinctively. Thhis style of food is known as Maocai 冒菜(translates from local dialect: heat the food); , which derived from the hot spicy soup with all kinds of herbs pour over the ingredients creating steam (as in 冒烟as in “smoking”)just before serving to the patrons. You can choose from the menu or pick your own from the buffet bar and you will pay based on the weight of your selections. Once weighted, the kitchen will cook your concoction for you based on your selection of the sauce. All sauces were spicy and numbing. You can also choose lite spiciness, mid spiciness or extreme spiciness. This is the first time I’d tried this and I actually enjoyed the numbing and hot peppers flavor very much. I pride myself on eating spicy food, but I opted for lite spiciness here and it was plenty spicy for me. The prices were reasonable and the quantity was fulfilling for the items on the menu. You can also choose from glass noodle, rice noodle or instant noodle for your carb. I had the rice noodle and it was very well made. My wife selected the least spiciest sauce, the beef bone soup, with beef and it was just a bit spicy, but plenty of numbness.“

“I ordered three takeaways and waited for 45 minutes. To be honest, I was really unhappy. But thinking about it, the store was busy. If I were the boss, I guess the takeout would be delayed. The most important thing is that the boss and employees have very good attitudes and keep apologizing. I was also given a bottle of drink. I tried it when I got home and it tasted good. I’ll call next time so I don’t have to wait. Well, thank you boss for the drink. I wish you a happy new year and a prosperous business.“

“It was REALLY good food! Absolutely superb! The fried rice was some of the best I've ever tasted! And the Dan Dan noodles were also amazing! We went there for lunch so there was zero wait time and only one other person when we got there. As we finished up there was nearly ten in at the tables, so we beat the rush. The waitress was nice and took our orders quickly. She was a little pushy at the end when she was asking why we hadn't left a bigger tip but that was OK. We're all trying to make ends meet.Overall a great experience! Thanks you!“

“My colleague and I are crazy about this place when they first open. We ordered from them every other day to tryout everything on their menu then at least once every week. “Food was AWESOME. My table ordered the ChengDu Spicy Boiled Roast Duck, Salted Egg Yolk with Corn (this was bomb), Stir Fry Bamboo Shoot, and one other spicy item that I can’t recall. The portions were GREAT for the pricing, more than enough for 4 people to eat with some leftover for the next day. Service is what you’d expect for a small restaurant that’s packed to the brim; we had to flag down the sole waiter (bless his soul, you could tell the man was overworked with no backup) each time we needed something, but eventually he did get whatever we needed to us. The restaurant itself is pretty small, and turnover on the tables can be a bit slow, which in turn makes it a bit of a lengthy wait to get seated. I saw a lot of takeout orders going out the door while waiting too, and with the great food, I could see why the wait is what it is. Will definitely come again, but probably not during the weekend/ dinner rushes.“

“It’s delicious, it’s delicious, it’s the first time I’ve eaten frog belly and double pepper in the United States. It’s spicy enough. The fried kidneys are fragrant and tender. The store is clean, but there’s only one person there, so the boss is very busy. I didn’t have diarrhea after eating such a spicy dish the next day, so it deserves five stars. Good reviews hahaha“
“Honestly would come back to try other dishes. When they say choose a Chinese or Asian restaurant with lower stats and you won't be disappointed is true. This is that spot. I was in the area and was planning on going to Mountain House, but of course to no avail. I saw Earthen and we planned to go there but was like let's check out each of the restaurants in that area. Decided on Spicy Home because it looked legit. Like the people inside were having a good time, plates were clean, bellies looked full.Got the mapo tofu and pork belly dry pot stir fry dish and the portion was large. Price was fantastic too! I think all in all, this place has great variety (like if you're not familiar with szechuan food you'd still enjoy a spot like this). Right prices, perfect portions. A spot you'll need to share because why would you go to a spot like this without sharing?!It's a little packed and service was just fine. next time I got to try other dishes though!“

“Enjoyed the food here! The restaurant is really small and a hole in the wall spot. I also don't think it's the same as the other Little Skewer location but regardless, I liked the food. One downside is that they didn't serve alcohol when I went. Not a huge deal to me but their plates you eat on are disposable plates. They also don't give you the spices to dip your food in but the food was already well seasoned so it wasn't really necessary. Overall, the prices are really good and the flavor of each dish has lots of flavor so everything was delicious. The lamb, beef, squid, and chicken wings were good and all came out fresh. The oyster was also sizzling when it came out and it was huge. It comes in one piece and order but the oyster is literally the size of your hand. The mala tang had really good flavor but kinda wished there were more noodles inside.“
