“They have really good Soups. Fried rice is pretty tasty as well as the Green / Red curry. Prices have increased quite a bit in the last couple of years . I do wish they close little later at least on the weekends. Please fix your sofa seating area, it is ripping off.
Vegetarian options: Several dishes can be made with veggies and/or tofu.“

“Food: 8/10-10/10 (best orange chicken I've had, oddly enough)
Service: 11/10
Atmosphere: 6/10 (small, skinny and sometimes under air-conditioned; Jeopardy in the TV is a nice touch though-- definitely a candidate for Guy Fieri's Triple-D!)
We moved to the SGV 13 years ago. This was one of the very first restaurants we tried out (other good ones: El super burrito Jr. and Golden Deli). We've dined in on Thai Exellente food ever since, and it is our go-to Thai eatery. The place seems to be run by about 3 women (of whom one, the cook, is seen only from behind, working the stove top), and the service over that decade-plus had been uniformly courteous, friendly and excellent (5/5, 10/10, pick your scale)!
Nov. 10: different recipes today and a newer look inside: has this place changed owners? Say it isn't so! O.o
Poignant, bc we are moving out of the SGV this month. :'/
Adios, T.E. !!“

“My wife has the pad kee mao and I had the spicy crispy pork basil. Both were good, but not great.
At some Thai restaurants, the food all tastes the same and it doesn't really matter what you order. That certainly wasn't the case here. Both dishes were different and we enjoyed them. But they weren't spectacular. The flavors didn't pop and they weren't bright. I'm not sure what was missing, but something about them felt... Less than exciting.
I gave it 4 stars and would happily eat there again if I'm in the area. But it's not worth the drive from the intersection of the 10 & 57 freeways.“

“Wow, great food and atmosphere. The pad see eww had one of the best char on the noodles I've ever had and I lived in SF. Great people behind the counter and very friendly. My son's first time having thai food and he loved the drunken noodles(nospice). Would recommend to anyone.“

“Great atmosphere and lots of food choices. They use fresh ingredients, and the dishes have rich, aromatic flavors. Their spice level is no joke! (Coming from a rural area with limited Asian cuisine options, we’re used to “medium spicy” meaning barely spicy and “level 1” meaning no spice at all - so pardon me lol.)“

“So delicious the thought of taking a picture didn't even cross my mind. They were open for New Year's and had kind and promp service. The chicken in the soups and curry is thinly sliced breast and had no fat or chewy parts, which is pretty nice.“

“I’m a regular here. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is delicious and affordable with decent portions! One of my favorite Thai restaurants! I recommend the Chicken Satay, Crying Tiger, Pot Stickers, Curry Noodles, Fried Rice, Coconut Shrimp, or maybe just try anything!“

“This restaurant is popping! I came on a Saturday night and it was completely full with 4 parties ahead of me, but I was seated in around 35 minutes.
I ordered the mama pot and the flavor was rich, spicy, and deep. Sort of a tom yum taste but heavier and creamier. The Pad See Ew and Pad Thai were very flavorful as well. The mango sticky rice was sweet and tasty, and the papaya salad was crunchy just the way I like it.
A couple things to pick on: the crispy pork was really dry and I had to keep it submerged in the soup to soften it up. The service can also be hard to flag down due to how busy it gets, but that’s more a matter of suffering from success lol.
Overall 5 stars from me!“

“Tiny little place serving up food well above its weight class! Really good food! The chef even came out to personally ask us how the food was. So nice! Really interesting decor too! I'd come back with my date! But the place is tiny, so if there's no seating inside, and it's too hot or cold to eat outside, take it to go! The food is worth giving a new home in your belly!“

“Cozy Thai spot with amazing food and very warm servers. Flavors were spot on and everything was very fresh. It seems the chef experiments with new items seasonally and their current special Rice Street Supreme should actually be permanently added. Very flavorful! Chef stopped by each table personally checking if everything was okay. Very homely Thai vibe with great food and warm staff!“

“True hidden gem.
Here’s a hint: Crab Fried Rice. This should be the FIRST thing you order here.
Once that’s out of the way, then you can try the Weeping Tiger.
Dining vibe is cozy and serene. I had a good time eating here.“

“I finally remembered to try this place. It didn't disappoint. Everything was made fresh to order. The veggies were crisp and tender. The shrimp were nice and plump. The Tom Yum was zesty and flaming.
It's a nice place for friends, family, or a casual date. It's not fancy. You order before you're seated.
The prices are just about the same as most Thai restaurants. Which bothered me a little since we had to stand in line to order.
But overall, it's a great place! It was yummy! It's was peaceful.“

“had my birthday dinner here, and it was a lovely experience! the staff was so accomodating and kind, and we really loved the patio seating with heaters that kept us warm even in the cold rainy weather. the atmosphere is quaint and the food is delicious. amazing portions for the price! we thoroughly enjoyed pad thai, pad see ew, tom yum soup, kimchi fried rice, and crying tiger (an amazingly tender, smoky steak served with sticky rice) along with a handful of appetizers like salmon wraps and fried tofu. everything was really yummy, and we had plenty of leftovers. 6 of us feasted for about $200, with tip included in that amount. I tipped extra at the end because the staff was so kind and patient with us, even though we were the last to leave after their closing time.“

“Spices Thai Kitchen is a tiny hole-in-the-wall joint with max 1 or 2 tables inside, so it really feels more like a to-go place. We've only done takeout and our orders are usually ready in ~20 minutes. We most recently got their Pad Thai (thin noodle with egg, bean sprouts, green onions, and tofu) at medium spice and their Yellow Curry (chicken, potatoes, onions, and carrots in coconut milk) at mild. Their curries don't come with rice, so make sure to order a side or have some at home already. And we enjoy spicy food, but here medium packs a lot of heat, so we tend to stick to mild. An absolute neighborhood gem that has become our go to Thai fix in Arcadia.“

“This restaurant serves a lot of dishes I had never even heard of! I tried the Khao klook ga-pi (fermented shrimp rice bowl) - definitely took a chance there but it was absolutely delicious! The servers were helpful with suggestions on how to eat the food and answering questions about the menu. Definitely would love to try more of their menu!“

“This place is a hole in the wall with amazing taste! We drove over from Eagle Rock and it was quick and easy. They have a parking lot so parking is available. Taste felt authentic and yummy 😋. Watch out for kick in soup 🔥!

“We spent a long weekend in Pasadena and at first chose this Thai place because it was just 5min walking from our rental cottage. They greeted us so friendly and accommodated our requests for items on the side. Then, the next day we came back here because everything was so flavorful! My husband had the crispy sole fish special and I enjoyed the glass noodles with shrimp. Exquisite!
We highly recommend!“

“Parking was good. Food is good for reasonable cost. Service is good. No sign on the back door so you can't tell if it's the correct place. I had yellow chicken curry. It was good tasting with good, but not perfectly cooked chicken. The curry is very watery. I used 2/3 of it, and it made my rice an unpleasant soggy consistency. Spice level is pretty spot on.“

“Came here to try a new Thai spot after going to President Thai down the street for years and wanting something different. We ordered from the dinner menu, which comes with soup or salad, egg rolls or wontons, and white rice or shrimp fried rice, a great value.
I got the chicken pad Thai and everything was so flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the yellow curry and it was absolutely amazing, rich and creamy with a coconut base that honestly reminded me of my mom’s Vietnamese curry.
The owner was also incredibly kind and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Such a welcoming experience. We’ll definitely be back soon!“

“Our family has adored coming to this lovely Thai restaurant tucked away in Azusa! The service is always fast and friendly in a cozy atmosphere. The food is incredible! There is something on the menu for everyone! My favorite offering is the green curry tofu - they ask you which spice level you'd like... If you crave a flavorful kick - they will not disappoint! This pairs well with garlic string beans or sir fried fresh ginger, onion, mushroom and carrot. The kids adore the Chicken Satay and the Crying Tiger grilled marinated beef served with Thai spicy sauce.“

“We are vegetarian and unfortunately we're served a soup with a chicken piece in it. Management rectified it immediately. Food was good minus that one incident and the young man with a moustache serving us was extremely professional and pleasant. We are from Houston and this was our first meal in LA. Definitely a big plus for this restaurant. Will return for future meals“

“I am not the type of person to do many reviews but I feel this restaurant deserves one, especially, my recomendation. Tried this place with a couple of friends who are very picky when it comes to the authenticity of Asian food, especially when it comes to Thai food. Their verdict was that it's the real deal. We all enjoyed the delicious food and the awesome service. This could be our go-to place for Thai food from now on! 👍“
“I recently visited Trendy Thai in Irwindale and had an outstanding experience. The service was warm and welcoming. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! The chow mein was perfectly cooked with a great balance of flavors (quite spicy though). The cashew chicken was tender and packed with flavors. Overall, Trendy Thai offers an incredible combination of delicious food and excellent customer service.

“First time dining here and had a great experience. The steamed chicken was tender and moist but my favorite was the flavorful grilled chicken. It was well seasoned and not overcooked. The stir fried Ong Choy veggies were the best I've had in awhile. Very reasonable prices. Excited to come back and try more dishes.“

“By far one of the best Thai food spots in LA family owned since the 80s been coming to them since I was a kid. Their 7 sea soup is amazing. So glad they opened this spot in Pico Rivera. I used to go all the way to their Hollywood location. Will be coming way more than I should.“

“Truly stellar food! Been here multiple times and it’s always blown me away - not just your typical Thai place. The flavors are bold, the chicken satay, Penang curry, and sticky rice are highlights. This is probably gonna end up on the best restaurants in LA list soon and I’m just happy to know about them before they blew up.“

“This place has amazing food! I am vegan and I had the curry with fried tofu, the pineapple rice and the coconut rice (some dishes may have been vegetarian) and the food was incredible! I had these dishes to go, but what was really superb was the hospitality of the guy who took my order he might be the owner he has a new Zealand or Australian accent, his hospitality was incredible, while I was waiting he offered me water and just amazing amazing service and the food was de-licious! I highly recommend it!!“

“Friday 3/28/25 Dinner at Fire Tiger Thai Food in Whittier with my friends Erwin and Victoria. Enjoying a wonderful dinner together after a hard day’s work. We ordered Shrimp pad Thai, fire tiger wings, seven sea soup, crying tiger, and mango sticky rice. The foods were so delicious and savory and a good size portion. Not salty, not too spicy, just right to taste with all the herbs and spices.
Nikki, service staff, was super nice and work diligently to serve all the customers.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated with flowers and was cleaned.
I recommend trying this restaurant.
