“Food was good. Complaint though about the fact they wouldn’t write us separate tickets. 😡 another way to gouge the public because they planned on us rounding up when it was $37.80 to $38 even and there was a nearly 5 dollar surcharge that they didn’t explain. Not really a good experience“

“My family and I were looking for a New Mexican spot and we definitely found it!!! The food was soooo good. We order one of everything on the menu and nothing was disappointing it ran us about $100 for 5 people to try pretty much everything they had. I will say they are alot more affordable with better food than spots in the area. You order your food at the front and the you find your own sitting. The only criticism I’ll give is I wish it was more lively inside, it’s beautiful inside no doubt but everyone is so quiet. Not a deal breaker at all I still plan to repeatedly come back! It’s a must try and a game changer for the area.“

I had the Chile Verde plate for the second time and I hope to make it a third time soon. We think the food it good and worth returning for biweekly. The seating area in the Taqueria feels clean but the bathrooms could be cleaner. Also the hallway feels like a storage place and doesn't seem clean enough. The food is good enough to come back for but it would be nice to maintain a clean appearance in places the clients use too.

I love the handmade tortillas!

Next time I go I will try their canned Los Compadres cervezas.“

“Great old school taco truck. I am a local plumber and they're near my shop.
The meats are always seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I always order an extra side of beans and rice as they are always delicious. Tons of nearby parking and a nice spot to sit and eat.“

“Supporting local businesses is important to me, especially in this economy. I was craving a breakfast burrito and happened to come across Rafa's. Despite being a rainy and windy day, they were open and happily took my order. Given that the food is prepared in a truck, I appreciate that they're still willing to be open despite the bad weather. The burrito was ready in minutes and was absolutely delicious. The lady who took my order was extremely pleasant and patient as she took my order and allowed me to make substitutions.

Hands down one of the best breakfast burritos I've had. I encourage everyone to support local businesses and give Rafa's a try. You won't be disappointed.“

“We went for the first time had a carnitas chimichanga, cheese enchilada husband had ground beef enchiladas. The enchiladas were really good it's hard to find anything resembling Mexican gravy these days, it was good. The chimi was good but a little different came in a partial puff pastry type shell. The beans were wonderful really delicious, the rice not bad. We will be back our server was very attentive and nice. It was the best Mexican we have found in elk grove in a long time.“
