“The restaurant is located on the second floor of Nerano in Beverly Hills (you have to take an elevator up to the second floor through Nerano). This gives the spot kind of a fun speakeasy feel to it. When you get out of the elevator, you walk into a beautifully designed / decorated, cozy, albeit slightly quirky space. It's not large (I think the capacity is 34). Came here for a food event, which I did a review for separately, but this experience in particular was grabbing a drink at the bar. (I did think the food was delicious though and urge folks to come here and give this place a try. I know I want to come back and try more menu items.) The bar is beautifully designed and organized. I found myself perusing and mentally cataloguing the whiskeys as I always do when I go to new restaurants. But this place looked like a place that has fun cocktails. So I ordered The George Michael. The drinks here are really interactive, and the bartenders are super enthusiastic to the point that it's infectious. My drink in particular had some bowls that floated up and you had to catch it with a paddle. Flavor wise it was like espresso martini with a peanut butter twist to it. All in all this place is a great place to grab drinks and/or food. Lots of fun. There's a lot of street parking nearby, but it could get challenging especially during the weekends. I came in the middle of the week and was able to find parking about a block away.“

Fried chicken was flavorful and succulent and came with a delicious honey mustard-esque dipping sauce. Bulgogi beef bowl was an absolute winner. Tender beef, great sauce, solid flavor. “We came here on a whim, after finding The Daily Outpost mysteriously closed on a Friday evening. Umigame is so good! “OMG, everything there - just perfect! There wasn't a single thing here that I didn't like. From the pizza, to two different pasta dishes, to all of the sushi, slider, and bang bang broccoli - it's mouthwatering! Loved the dragon roll, crispy rice, and basically anything with unagi is absolutely fantastic. Wasn't super thrilled with the orange wine (I think that's what it was?) but the house white was good! This place is a total vibe, for a sexy little vegan dinner date night! Service is incredible, everyone is nice and attentive, and quick with delivery and clearing out plates. “Chicken katsu was great, big portion, tender chicken, came with a pretty and delicious salad and the curry was also very good. It was totally worth the price. Takoyaki was one of the best I've eaten. The portion is also generous and there were definitely big chunks of Tako inside the balls. Presentation was very pretty too. However my lemon roll was not as good as the other dishes. The spicy tuna was overly spicy and it took away the flavor of the entire dish. The size surprised me positively though, it was much bigger than rolls in other places. The fish was fresh and the proportion with rice was good too. I would definitely come back.“

The wait has been popping off so I'd recommend joining the waitlist early! “We decided to give this location another try and we were blown away by all of the delicious meals they prepared. The shrimp pad see ew was flavored to perfection. The crab fried right was just right and the spicey fried rice was balanced with the right amount of heat. You can always request the kitchen to turn up or turn down the spice level according to your taste buds. Try the lychee martini, you will thank me later. The service was five-star from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. Love their Korean tacos! Their Korean BBQ mild is spicy enough and if you want it spicier, just have them add the spice- you won't regret it. “Came here to try out their five course Valentine's Day dinner and it was AMAZING! The food is made with love. Every dish was neatly made like it was a work of art. The drinks were also out of this world. I had the rack of lamb and it was cooked to perfection. It was amazing!!! It’s not a typical Korean kimchi fried rice. It has garlicky and tangy flavors. The runny egg yolk blended well with the rice.We also got cream cheese crab Rangoon, fried dumplings and veggie egg rolls. LOVED their sweet and sour dipping sauce. We asked for extra to bring home.Very casual, fast and friendly service. You order and pay at the counter. They don’t speak much English but they are very accommodating.We are super happy to find another restaurant close by that we love. Will definitely go back for more!“

“Short Ribs are delicious! Do yourself a favor and order Special B. It comes with Grilled Teriyaki Chicken with Beef Short Ribs, sides of rice and salad plus teriyaki sauce and chili sauce. The short ribs and chicken were not only delicious they were nice and hot! You can tell they came right off the grill! Portion size is big for the price. For appetizer, ordered chicken egg rolls (qty: 3) comes with sweet and sour dipping sauce. Egg rolls were hot and crispy. Owner was very friendly and accommodating. He offered to clean the table before we sat down. I liked and appreciated that. The restaurant is very clean and has a small dining area.“

“Marugame Udon has always been the go-to for anyone near Sawtelle especially UCLA students. I mean this place is fantastic: the food is exceptional, basically no wait time, the food is cheap, and the service is amazing. This is definitely a top 5 of all time for me and would HIGHLY recommend anyone to visit when in the area. The line usually gets very long on Saturday and Friday nights but it moves fairly quickly.“

“I've been coming here for years, I can't believe I haven't written a review! I love their food. My favorite item to order is their mung bean pad thai, although I wish there was an option to get it with soy chicken or beef and not just tofu skewers. The tofu cubes are huge so the flavor doesn't really penetrate them. I like this dish because the noodles and veggies are flavorful. My family also enjoys cashew nut lover dish and the buddha rolls. Those are so filling, I can just get those and be happy. If you like thai tea, you must try it here. So good. One star off because parking is difficult, especially on weekends, and it's a little pricy for me. The good thing is that inflation has led to all restaurants raising their prices in the last couple of years, so I am more used to it and not as bothered as I used to be . It was chewy inside and not overly sweet like most donuts, the fine grain sugar on top was absolutely delicious. The hot dog was really good too. Very interesting mix of flavors, I normally don't like sugar on meat but they balance it out pretty well to where it's just a little hint of it. Service was good with the staff bringing the food to my table promptly and the ordering process was quick. The inside of the restaurant is quite spacious, clean, & bright with plenty of booths and tables for seating. They serve a more simplified menu of Ramen, Bibimbap, & Kimbap dishes. My ramen was delicious with a good amount of heat as I chose very spicy for my heat level and the pork belly was soft and tender. The noodles were chewy and springy and there was a good amount of cheese mixed with the broth which made for a rich, creamy flavor. The egg was also perfectly cooked and it was quite an enjoyable bowl overall. The pork bao bun was delicious with a nice, thick piece of pork in the middle and the bun was soft and pillow like. Overall, this is a good spot if you are in the Northridge area and if you are craving Ramen or Bibimbap, I recommend stopping by!“

They hit the table faster than I could decide on a drink, and every bite was a trip to flavor town. We also jumped on a promo for crispy pork, which initially came out as cold as the reception at a rival sports team's home game. But when it comes down to brass tacks, the meal was a solid 6/10. It had its moments, sure, but nothing that would make me sprint back.
