“I've been wanting to try different omakase places in the LA area for a while now, and stumbled upon Omakase by Ozen online - and I'm glad I came! Reservations were made quickly and easily via Yelp, and I love that I was able to change my reservation time without much of a hassle. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate after I took the MCAT, so we were extremely hungry when we got here. I think this place might have had valet out front, but we opted to just find street parking in the neighborhood for a ~5 minute walk (which worked out afterwards since it let us walk off our food!). The actual restaurant is a very small and quaint place; we sat at a table instead of the bar but I thought the decorations were very cute. Service was very fast and attentive. They handed us a menu as soon as we came in, and we ordered the $130 omakase - which was a pretty good deal for the quality of the food and the whole experience. I do have to say that I was not full after the meal (so my boyfriend and I ended up getting more food afterwards at a different place), but I did enjoy my time here. Definitely worth a try if you're celebrating because of the food and the service, but I personally don't think I'd come back for the omakase.“
“Great views and yummy food. Menu is quite eclectic with an Asian and Middle Eastern twist. Our waitress Jambeth was nice and politely asked us when we sat down if we had a show at the Pantages. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As it was we were there for my birthday and so we were not in a rush and could enjoy the skyline and cuisine. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. Was given a complementary dessert as it was my birthday with a candle which was a lovely gesture. Would definitely go back for drinks on summer evening and enjoy the sunset.“

“The restaurant is located on the second floor of Nerano in Beverly Hills (you have to take an elevator up to the second floor through Nerano). This gives the spot kind of a fun speakeasy feel to it. When you get out of the elevator, you walk into a beautifully designed / decorated, cozy, albeit slightly quirky space. It's not large (I think the capacity is 34). Came here for a food event, which I did a review for separately, but this experience in particular was grabbing a drink at the bar. (I did think the food was delicious though and urge folks to come here and give this place a try. I know I want to come back and try more menu items.) The bar is beautifully designed and organized. I found myself perusing and mentally cataloguing the whiskeys as I always do when I go to new restaurants. But this place looked like a place that has fun cocktails. So I ordered The George Michael. The drinks here are really interactive, and the bartenders are super enthusiastic to the point that it's infectious. My drink in particular had some bowls that floated up and you had to catch it with a paddle. Flavor wise it was like espresso martini with a peanut butter twist to it. All in all this place is a great place to grab drinks and/or food. Lots of fun. There's a lot of street parking nearby, but it could get challenging especially during the weekends. I came in the middle of the week and was able to find parking about a block away.“
“This place from the moment you walk in the front door is beyond amazing! They’ve done an amazing job of setting one heck of secluded Tulum vibe but while being in the thick of it all. No detail was left out from the lush landscaping and impeccable design throughout to the delicious food and cocktail menu topped off with incredible service. We had the Crispy Rice with yellowtail and shishito peppers for starters both were some of the best we’ve had. We also had the sun fire roll and short ribs and all I can say is yum! You won’t be disappointed with any of the food here. The margaritas we had were “chefs kiss”! Highly recommend!!“

Everything was so good, but make sure to also ask for the garlic chili oil and chili powder if you want to kick up the spicy and garlic flavor a notch! I loved the basil flavor of the spicy fried rice, and the sweet and spicy flavor of the spicy garlic noodles! Everything is vegan but you would never guess it based on how freaking yummy everything is!“

“I remember coming to the shop for sushi rice when I was pregnant. Whom had seemed to be the owner of the shop ending up being incredibly kind and accomplished. I felt welcome and I bought all of my poke bowls there ever since. Sadly I moved out of state and will miss their poke. Really kind, welcoming atmosphere, and good poke!“

“A little gem! They have Korean and Japanese styled rice bowls here. Many great options with reasonable prices and serving sizes especially for the area. We got the tuna tataki bowl and chicken karaage bowl. The person handling orders was really great and said the tuna tataki was their favorite and even gave helpful directions on how to best enjoy the rice bowl with the sauce! Everything tasted fresh and delicious! Highly recommend.“
“This is a great Korean American fusion spot. The staff have a lot of heart! And of course the food hits right. I had the Galbi Burger which was quite unique, the beef was marinated with Asian flavors. I loved it. I do wish the portion size was bigger though.Lots of options here for vegans and vegetarians too.Parking is so-so, as is the case with most places on this street.Small sidewalk patio with sunny seating. “We came here on a whim, after finding The Daily Outpost mysteriously closed on a Friday evening. Umigame is so good! Everything, from the poke bowl, salmon teriyaki, brussels sprouts, and edamame, were perfect! High quality food beautifully prepared. Very good service also. We will definitely be back.“
“Yes it's right next to a gas station but that shouldn't put you off, the place is pretty good. There are only 4 parking sports directly in front so at a busy time I can see this being an issue.The service was great. The waiter was very friendly and helpful in case we had any questions.The food ranges from decent to good. The Black Garlic Miso Ramen wasn't hot enough for me and way too salty. The tofu that I ordered as my protein was cold. The Lady Gaga sushi was a mixed bag. The toppings were a great combination of flavor but the tuna itself wasn't very good. I wouldn't order it again personally. That being said, we did really enjoy the Shrimp Tempura Cut Roll. It's not the best I've had but still very good. The Garlic Edamame as a starter was pretty amazing I have to say. Definitely get that! The Bluefin Tuna sushi we tried was also very good actually.I liked the ambiance inside: nice and clean with appealing decor. It's not really a place for a romantic dinner but it's not aiming for that anyway. Would certainly recommend if you're in the area.“

“BEST pad see ewe I've had in LA! I'm quite picky when it comes to Thai food. I'm one for authenticity when it comes to food in general. So I like to learn the history & stories behind the food, and the people the food represents. Very friendly & welcoming service. Bright, simple, and clean ambience. The fried mango-sticky rice rolls are an excellent and a quite ingenious version of the typical mango & sticky rice dessert! I also appreciated the check out process with their handheld device & they take Apple Pay. From the beginning as I entered I felt welcomed, again throughout the service was like being waited on by family, all smiles; and to the end of the meal, bows and smiles! 3 suggestions though: 1. The Thai tea could have been done with little less milk and more tea, and maybe offer other milk options like almond or soy milk, but it was still very flavorful and smooth! 2. I would like to see an upgrade in the glassware used for drinks like the Thai tea, hopefully in the near future. 3. Need better professional pictures up on Yelp. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical in trying this restaurant as I saw there were only 94 other reviews, yet it all averaged 5 stars! So I always make a point to try restaurants that possibly may have been overlooked or underrated. This place is definitely an authentic gem one all would enjoy! They actually deserve 10 stars I'll definitely be back again ;)“

“OMG, everything there - just perfect! There wasn't a single thing here that I didn't like. From the pizza, to two different pasta dishes, to all of the sushi, slider, and bang bang broccoli - it's mouthwatering! Loved the dragon roll, crispy rice, and basically anything with unagi is absolutely fantastic. Wasn't super thrilled with the orange wine (I think that's what it was?) but the house white was good! This place is a total vibe, for a sexy little vegan dinner date night! Service is incredible, everyone is nice and attentive, and quick with delivery and clearing out plates. Music selection was great. Overall, loved loved loved it! Recommend to everyone and a place I'll definitely be coming back to!“
“Chicken katsu was great, big portion, tender chicken, came with a pretty and delicious salad and the curry was also very good. It was totally worth the price. Takoyaki was one of the best I've eaten. The portion is also generous and there were definitely big chunks of Tako inside the balls. Presentation was very pretty too. However my lemon roll was not as good as the other dishes. The spicy tuna was overly spicy and it took away the flavor of the entire dish. The size surprised me positively though, it was much bigger than rolls in other places. The fish was fresh and the proportion with rice was good too. I would definitely come back.“

The wait has been popping off so I'd recommend joining the waitlist early! “We decided to give this location another try and we were blown away by all of the delicious meals they prepared. The shrimp pad see ew was flavored to perfection. The crab fried right was just right and the spicey fried rice was balanced with the right amount of heat. You can always request the kitchen to turn up or turn down the spice level according to your taste buds. Try the lychee martini, you will thank me later. The service was five-star from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. The restaurant is small and intimate, perfect for a local date night. We had a great time guys, thank you and we will see you guys again soon.“

A storefront with four chairs inside and some tables outside, they do a bunch of take-out.The young woman at the counter was pleasant and helpful.I chose the bulgogi tacos which were delicious. The beef was seasoned and fresh, melt in your mouth paired with a spicy dip and lime wedges. I have to be careful with hot peppers (allergies), but my wife said it was the kind of dip that you didn't get the heat at first, but even when, not too hot.My wife had the salmon bowl. A perfectly grilled piece of salmon paired with rice, avocado, along with pickled onions and cucumber. There was an accompanying small dish of a sweet liquid. Maybe a coconut milk base, it tamed any heat. A winner.“

“Came here to try out their five course Valentine's Day dinner and it was AMAZING! The food is made with love. Every dish was neatly made like it was a work of art. The drinks were also out of this world. I had the rack of lamb and it was cooked to perfection. The service was probably one of the best experiences of my life because the atmosphere was so welcoming and friendly. I'd love to come back here next year and experience the food all over again!“

“I stopped by with friends it was a pretty solid spot for pho and other delicious Vietnamese menu items.I had the avocado drink, spicy fried soft shell crab, “Lady’s on fire” Spicy Lo Mein Noodles, beef combo pho & braised marinated pork belly with egg & rice.The avocado drink was good but too much ice overall that you only get a small few gulps of the drink. The soft shell crab appetizer was phenomenal and my favorite dish of the bunch. Perfect flavor and cooked just right.The lady on fire was an excellent noodle dish. Flavor and spice was on point and it was cooked perfectly. The beef combo pho was also good, the meats were great and the broth was pretty good. A descent bowl of pho.The braised pork belly was good but I made the mistake of thinking it was going to be fried. It was still a solid dish, the sauce was delicious and sweet. The pork was very tender and flavorful.Customer service is great but sometimes it can get crowded and there might be some delays due to only a few working, but still a great dining experience.I’d definitely come back to this spot again to try their other menu items. Parking is valet only or street parking if available.“
“We saw Dek Sen’s post on @sanfernandovalleyeats , so we looked them up.Dek Sen’s is an interesting name, we were told it means favorite person in Thai☺️We were reluctant to order kimchi fried rice at a Thai restaurant but so glad we did. It was amazing!!! It’s not a typical Korean kimchi fried rice. It has garlicky and tangy flavors. The runny egg yolk blended well with the rice.We also got cream cheese crab Rangoon, fried dumplings and veggie egg rolls. LOVED their sweet and sour dipping sauce. We asked for extra to bring home.Very casual, fast and friendly service. You order and pay at the counter. They don’t speak much English but they are very accommodating.We are super happy to find another restaurant close by that we love. Will definitely go back for more!“
“Shabu is great for groups, and really fun though may be a bit confusing for people who've never had Korean hot pot (or fondue chinois!). It's a little expensive if you want just a little fish in addition to a veggie hot pot, and the music is *party* loud.. great for fun but could be difficult for some with older ears. We didn't try the sake but there looked to be a great selection.. maybe next time !Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian hot pot option, and a small selection of veggie starters, as well as some great glass noodle salad and plenty of other noodles to cook, but the selection could be a little bigger (albeit there aren't too many proteinaceous veggie options in Korean food!).“

“Marugame Udon has always been the go-to for anyone near Sawtelle especially UCLA students. I mean this place is fantastic: the food is exceptional, basically no wait time, the food is cheap, and the service is amazing. This is definitely a top 5 of all time for me and would HIGHLY recommend anyone to visit when in the area. The line usually gets very long on Saturday and Friday nights but it moves fairly quickly.“

“I've been coming here for years, I can't believe I haven't written a review! I love their food. My favorite item to order is their mung bean pad thai, although I wish there was an option to get it with soy chicken or beef and not just tofu skewers. The tofu cubes are huge so the flavor doesn't really penetrate them. I like this dish because the noodles and veggies are flavorful. My family also enjoys cashew nut lover dish and the buddha rolls. Those are so filling, I can just get those and be happy. If you like thai tea, you must try it here. So good. One star off because parking is difficult, especially on weekends, and it's a little pricy for me. The good thing is that inflation has led to all restaurants raising their prices in the last couple of years, so I am more used to it and not as bothered as I used to be . Note: the seats are incredibly uncomfortable so if you dine in and have back issues like me, bring a cushion.“

After perusing the menu, we decided to start our culinary adventure with the Crispy Rolls priced at $11. These fried spring rolls filled with glass noodles, cabbage, carrots, and taro, served with a delightful sweet and sour sauce, were a vegan delight.For our main courses, we indulged in the flavorful Pat Thai priced at $15, featuring rice noodles with beef, eggs, bean curd, sweet radish, bean sprouts, and green onions, all topped with roasted peanuts. Our second entrée was the Suji Dry priced at $17, a generous portion of glass noodles stir-fried with chicken, garlic, celery, carrots, Napa cabbage, and onions, tossed in a savory Japanese Sukiyaki sauce. The portion sizes were surprisingly large, easily satisfying two people per plate and proving to be great value for the price.The restaurant exuded a cozy, homely ambiance that instantly put us at ease. The welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the soothing background music, enhanced our dining experience. “Got a Jalapeno Cheddar Chicken, Original (White) with Potato & sugar, plus a Churro Donut & a soda. Let me start with the donut because it was really good. It was chewy inside and not overly sweet like most donuts, the fine grain sugar on top was absolutely delicious. The hot dog was really good too. Very interesting mix of flavors, I normally don't like sugar on meat but they balance it out pretty well to where it's just a little hint of it. Everything was cooked really well nice and hot, savory with a hint of sweet Small place located in the 2 floor plaza, with extra parking downstairs. Service was ok, it was quiet when i went. “ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITE VEGAN SPOTS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!! It was located in such a great spot in LA! So many of the other Vegan spots had no dining or where hidden but this one was easy to find, the service was absolutely outstanding and the service was literally one of the best servers I’ve ever had! She was so lit up and full of life, so kind and one of the other servers was also so so kind! It was all Vegan and 100% ALL VEGAN GOLDEN JACKPOT OF GOLD! ? I can’t even emphasize enough how lovely this place was! There was nature inside and out, the presentation of the food was outstanding!
