“We love Fat Sal's.
We go there for smash burgers mostly. I definitely haven't eaten every one, but of all the smash burgers I've had all over the city, Fat Sal's is to me the best. Lacey and crispy around the edge, American cheese as God intended on a smashburger, good bun and you can add lettuce and tomato if you want. Sometimes we'll get a loaded side of fries as well. The menu is full of delicious sounding, but a little over the top combinations of things piled up on a smashburger or a sandwich. I'd love to try them, but the regular smashburger is so delicious. They have a pastrami smashburger on the menu, but it has chicken tenders and a bunch of other stuff on it as well. I don't want all of that, I want a smashburger with griddled pastrami added to it, maybe some Swiss. The regular smashburger, maybe with an extra Patty added is the go-to for both of us.
The staff working there all knows and recognizes us. They're very friendly, and very customer service oriented. They always want to make sure we have everything we need and that we're taken care of, they'll swing by the counter where we're eating to see if we need any more ketchup, napkins, etc. It's really next-level service for this kind of a fast casual. Lots of TVs up high on the walls showing whatever sports is on, plus a Fat Sal's Venice Beach skater video running on a loop. Recommend if you like a delicious smashburger in a cool low-key environment with great service. And who doesn't?“

“Few weeks ago I was working nearby and after working few hours we must treat ourselves with a nice meal, and consulting with Google maps I decided to try this spot. I know deli places are famous for the sandwiches but I decided to try a burger and I totally made a great choice, the burger was absolutely delicious, and the best part was that I could choose either French fries or from the salad bar, seen the freshness of salads I decided to had my burger with salad, I had artichokes and tomatoes, they were so delicious that the next day I had to go again for lunch, and the 3rd time myself and another 2 coworker ate from this place , they loved it. Personally I loved that tasty burger with salad, if one day I'm around I hope that day comes soon I'll definitely have to try a sandwich. The place has enough room to enjoy a nice meal prepared at the moment, or either to go, the workers are super friendly and they also have a section of cold drinks. Definitely this is a place anyone should try“

“Best Italian deli and market in southern California. Extremely authentic and high quality foods. Any kind of Italian food you can think of they have. Went in for a sub and left with two of them. If you’re ordering a sub make sure you grab a ticket at the counter because they will call the numbers based on whose turn it is to order. Gotta check out the market as well. I recommend their signature sub the godmother but both were wicked good.“

“Oh boy, stopped in today for a wrap and was a little overwhelmed by the options. It was between the pastrami and the soujouk and I went with the pastrami. Definitely a great choice. This place is local, it's awesome, and reasonably priced! The only regret that I have is that I should've added mustard to my wrap!“

“Ever crave a NY style BEC bagel but you live in West LA? Look no further than New York Bagel and Deli! While there are many good bagel places in the city, this has the best bagel quality and value in my opinion. They do everything, from bagel with shmear and lox to BEC and even pizza, all for an affordable price. Highlight is the sandwich combo which is a fat bagel sandwich and a combo. “I work in the area so I passed this place often and I’ve been wanting to try it for quite some time. A lot of my coworkers have said great things about it so I decided to give it a try today. It’s located right on Santa Monica Blvd on a gas station property inside where you pay for gas. One end of it is the market and the other end is for the gas station. In between are rows of the refrigerators and aisles of snacks so it was really nice to have all those drink options. The lady behind the counter was really polite and it was just a really quick and easy experience to get my lunch.

The menu is really large and they specialize in sandwiches. My order was ready shortly after I placed the order and it really hit the spot. I would recommend, especially if you are in a hurry or looking for a good quick casual meal.“

“I had an issue with a ham. Sandra reached out to me and immediately offered to replace it (which is incredibly generous in my opinion). The staff were very friendly, the wait time was very short, considering it was just a few days before Christmas. The only issue was the ham (and since the pandemic, they no longer open the wrapping to show you the ham any more) so I will just make sure to check them in the future (although, I've never had an issue prior to this). Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the Northridge location for their prompt action and willingness to make sure I was happy.“

I ordered a half sandwich and it was divine. I wish the breading had held together better from the juiciness of the pastrami. Coleslaw was also pretty good. It was all super rich for my taste. Glad I only ate half cause a whole would have made my colon a rotting corpse.“

“The description of Ike's to me made it sound like Fat Sal's and I was excited. Truth of the matter is Ike's holds its own, and it didn't disappoint. It has a great menu mixed with Meat and Veggie options. The Mrs. and I split and highly recommend the Captain Carl and the Meatless Mike (I concur "best vegan meatball in America", and Our 3 y/o gives the grilled cheese 👍👍. Our 9y/o swears it was the best grilled cheese she ever had.“

“One of the best Jewish Deli around. It is an institution. Has a great bakery and Deli meats to go. Our favorite thing to start our meal is the half chicken in a pot with extra Matzah Balls for the leftover soup to bring home for another day. I love the dresser sandwich and make sure to ask for their yummy pickles with it. If they have them I like to buy a bag of bagel chips to take home for the leftover soup. The have magnificent hamtashins, great carrot cake, fantastic chocolate dipped macaroons. The list goes on and on. My wife loves their Monte Cristo sandwich. It is always a special treat to go to Canters in the Fairfax area of LA. I feel like I am going back to my grandma's house force meal. My wife is not Jewish and she loves this place. The waiters and waitresses work very hard to make you feel special!“
