“I have always LOVED Marie's donuts. The donuts are much smaller now (they look like Krispy cream size) Everything is very old inside, but most take their donuts and leave. Staff is OK. Sometimes they look they had a hard night. Sometimes nobody is at the counter when you walk in. My donut was a bit dry, which was unusual. The taste is still good. It's still the only donuts place I like. You won't find cereal or pretzels on your donuts, here. Just good tasting regular/old fashioned donuts and several flavors.“

“I've been going to Bill's Donuts since I was a young kid, and I'm in my twenties now. This place has been around before my parents even moved to the area, which gives you an idea of how beloved it is by the community and what a staple Bill's is. The quality has never decreased, everything is always so delicious. The prices are also always so much more reasonable, in my opinion, than any other donut shop. I can't imagine Granite Bay without Bill's. I love their cinnamon rolls, and my family loves the apple fritters.“

“Good morning I just patronized this and it was unacceptable 😡 they had very few donuts and a lot of excuses which as a customer that has been going to this donut shop for years is irritating at best. It wasn’t like this before the owners retired and left the business to their kids and grandkids. This used to be the best donut shop in north Sacramento. The donuts taste day old. I went a time before a few weeks ago and I ordered a breakfast sandwich and the eggs tasted mushy and uncooked. The owners should have shut the business down when they retired because with their kids and grandkids running the business they will be out of business in a year to a year in a half if they don’t get it together back to the standards of the owners that retired. I hate to say this but don’t patronize this business.“

“It is a very old school and simple donut shop. There are no huge frills or super fancy decorations inside. You go there and places like it because you just want to grab your sugar rush circle and get out. I come to this one and get for sports (snack duties) and every time my kids want a treat. Owner and lady working is not rude if you speak and are respectful and polite to her. Most people expect more than what this place is actually there for. If you want social media and frills then it’s not the spot. If you want to grab your sugar circle and go about your day then boom this could be one of your spots.“

They're always cooking donuts.
Even at 1 AM.

I love that they always make the standards (old-fashioned, cake, and regular glazed, chocolate, or maple) and then more obscure get classic varieties like cinnamon sugar or blueberry cake.

If you are looking for some hoity toity hipster donut place where each doughnut is six dollars, has some cereal on it, and you have to eat it with a fork, this isn't your place.

Baker Ben's is where you go to get a standard donut you would get in Minnesota or Michigan served to you by really caring and considerate people at any time, day or night.

For a long while there, my wife and I had a standing rule that if we ever drove by Baker Ben's and there wasn't someone in there, that we would go in and get at least a donut each.
No matter what time of day it was.
What's crazy, is we would rarely ever go in based on this rule because there always seems to be at least one person ordering donuts no matter what time of day or night.

For us, the only two donut shops that exist in the Roseville area is Donuts and Cinnamon (really good too!) in Rocklin and Baker Ben's in Roseville.“
