“Love this spot. I usually get the #4 plate, which is enough food for two meals. Comes with big chunks of real gyro meat and grilled red onions, homemade hummus, cucumber salad, tabbouleh, and tzatziki and hot sauce on the side. It’s basically a small grocery store with a deli counter and grill, plus a seating area for eating in. Nothing fancy but a positive experience for those who crave Mediterranean food.“

“A Hidden Gem with Big Heart and Bigger Flavor!”
BIG H DELI is one of those rare places that instantly makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth, the comforting aroma of freshly grilled shawarma, and a display of drinks and snacks that perfectly complement every meal.
The food here is exceptional. Their chicken shawarma wrap is juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere in California. The roast beef shawarma plate is another standout, served generously with soft pita, crisp salad, and creamy hummus. You can taste the freshness and care in every bite.
The portion sizes are generous for the price, and the quality is consistent every single time. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about your experience — they go out of their way to make sure you leave happy.
What I love most is the authenticity. It’s not just about serving food; it’s about serving comfort. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for a casual meal, the vibe is always welcoming and relaxed.
And yes — don’t forget to check out their drink fridge! They’ve got everything from Jarritos and Vitamin Water to Bai and Bundaberg Ginger Beer, making it easy to pair your meal with something refreshing.
In short, BIG H DELI is a local favorite for all the right reasons: incredible food, friendly service, great value, and a cozy atmosphere that keeps you coming back. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic shawarma, falafel, or just a truly satisfying meal made with heart.“

“I stopped at Falafel & Gyro for some late lunch as I was driving up towards Redding. The place is conveniently located off the highway and serves great food. I have had many Afghan dishes in the Bay area and this restaurant is on par with those. I had the lamb gyro platter. The meat was ok, however, the rice and the salad were fantastic. The salad was really fresh which you don't often get. The dishes are also reasonably priced, coming in at most around $15 for the fanciest dish. The only bummer was that the TV was loud and distracting.“

“My review is for the restaurant in Vacaville, CA. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. We love gyros and saw Ariana's one night while dining at another restaurant and thought we would give it a try. So glad we did! Wonderful staff and tasty food. First time my husband tried Greek fries and he liked them. Yum!“

“Food is fresh and full of flavor. The quality is always the best and you can expect a good meal no matter what choice of food you're getting here. The servings are always filling and the service itself is wonderful! They have an assortment of dishes that will satisfy any cravings. Some personal favorites of mine are the Chicken Tikka Masala over rice, Gyros or Shawarma Platters and the hummus. Please be respectful to the employees as they are always doing their best to serve you a great experience. Been eating here for almost 2 years now 10/10😋“
