“I loved the vegan broth options! Glad we could find a place that has more vegan friendly broth and toppings! Our server Jeraldine was awesome and she took care of our complicated order due to our food allergies! We will be back again!“

“Fukumi Chaya – Perfect Comfort Food for this upcoming season! 🍂☁️❄️
Fukumi Chaya in Folsom is a cozy spot serving standout dishes like their Pork Katsudon. The crispy pork cutlet, served over rice with savory sauce and a soft-cooked egg, is a comforting highlight.
For the upcoming cold weather, their ramen is the perfect choice—rich, warming broths and fresh noodles make it an ideal dish to enjoy on chilly days. With friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere, Fukumi Chaya is a must-visit for anyone craving hearty Japanese comfort food this season.“

“Would invest on a franchise of their restaurant if I had lots of capital and put one up in the PHILIPPINES where the market is booming. The food is so fresh, juicy, tasty. I ordered a combo and tonkatsu and the quality blew me away for a reasonable price. I wonder if they do international franchising. Does anyone know?“

“The people were amazing, they were so elaborative and patient and most of all kind. The food was the best food ever. The servings are decently sized and had a reasonable pricing. My only con which wasn’t to intense was that there was not too much space. But they accommodated us to the bar. So overall by heart, it a 5 star!
Dietary restrictions: They are very flexible with measurements and any allergies. They will take out anything you are allergic to.
Kid-friendliness: They had a kids meal!“

“Sushi was great! We sat at the sushi bar, took recommendations from the chefs and loved every single bite. We had creamy maguro and spicy rainbow rolls, and hotate (scallop) nigiri. They have some great happy hour deals and is definitely one of the most affordable sushi lunches in the area. Recommend, we’ll definitely return!“

“I enjoyed my meal, my family unfortunately didn't like their dishes. Weird taste, even though my mom ordered something similar to mine the broth tasted much differently. I will definitely come back, the ramen was warm and delicious. And this place sells Stella Artois Cidre, I can't even find it in stores around here! The service was kind, I would like it if they kept customers updated on the food delays though.“

“As a skeletal being, I don’t often indulge in the pleasures of the culinary world, but my recent visit to Umami Ramen was a delightful exception. Upon entering, I was greeted by the rich aroma of simmering broth that tantalized my non-existent taste buds. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with wooden accents and dim lighting—perfect for a bony figure seeking refuge from the chill of the grave. I opted for the signature ramen, “shiro ramen” a spine-tingling favorite. The broth was rich and deeply savory, with layers of umami that could awaken even the most dormant of bones. Each slurp brought a satisfying warmth that sent shivers down my… well, you get the idea. The noodles were perfectly chewy, a delightful contrast to my otherwise brittle frame. I appreciated how they held onto the broth, ensuring each bite was flavorful. The toppings—a generous scattering of green onions and a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg—were visually appealing and added a delightful texture. For a skeleton, the highlight was undoubtedly the marrow-infused broth, which was rich enough to make me almost forget my lack of flesh. It was comforting in a way that transcended the corporeal. Service was friendly, and the staff even chuckled at my bony demeanor, which I took as a compliment. Overall, Umami Ramen provided an experience that was both hearty and hauntingly good. In conclusion, I may not have the capacity to eat in the traditional sense, but I can confidently say this ramen is to die for. Highly recommended for all the living and the occasionally wandering skeletal souls.“
