“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.“

“WOW. What a great experience!! I came here at 6:40 on a Friday night and, surprisingly, there was no wait. The restaurant was homey, clean, and cozy. Vince set us up and our waitress, May, kindly explained the menu. We ordered the Bread & Butter, Miso Bacon Carbonara, and Butokaku. EVERYTHING WAS GOOD! The focaccia bread was satisfyingly soft and fluffy like a sponge, paired wonderfully with the whipped honey butter. The Butokaku (pork belly) was savory, fatty, and salty. The Miso Bacon Carbonara had good flavor and nice bite, but I honestly wasn't super impressed with the mochi noodles. Regular pasta noodles might have been better. Overall, I was very impressed with the excellent service (down to cheese grated by the manager), warm interior decor, and beautiful presentation and flavors of the food. I couldn't help but peek at other peoples' tables -- Everything looked amazing. I definitely plan on coming back to try other dishes and dessert!!“

“I gave an earlier bad review because of a to go order where they gave one strawberry for a berry basket meal. I have gone back since and it's really great. The fruit serving in the berry basket has been generous and everything tastes great! I gave a 4 star in service instead of five because a male employee did not help me right away with my pickup order just stared at me and went back to flirting with another female employee. Only when I stood there like an idiot for a while (maybe a like 4 to 5 minutes) then he gave me my pick up order. But it's ok I totally understand to be young and in love! “Shabby booths, torn, taped, and dirty. So disappointing how they seat you in the scrappy bar area, but the main dining room is empty. The booths are in much better shape, better ambiance, and clean. Why? What has happened to this place? It's so sad. They also do not have the mud pie or the chocolate cake anymore. Both are still on the menu, but according to our server, the supplier went out of business. They haven't had them for over 4 months. My guess is why would corporate put money into refurbishing the restaurant, updating menus, and their website unless they are planning to shut it down. Our server apologized over and over and don't get me wrong, he was great. This review is directed to management and the corporate management. I hope they get it together.“

“The place was packed for lunch on a Tuesday, this fact alone speaks to the quality of the restaurant. The food was excellent and service on point. We had a private room and about 25 guests, yet everything came out together, was hot, and tasted very good.“

“We stopped by Lemon & Thyme on a whim after our daughter’s swim lesson, and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, our server, who I believe may have been the owner, was one of the most warm, vivacious people I’ve ever met. He greeted us with the biggest smile and gave us the kind of service that instantly makes you feel at home.

He made us feel so welcomed, like we were family. The level of thoughtfulness was above and beyond,he even brought out extra treats like french fries and ice cream for our toddler, which absolutely made her night. It’s rare to experience that kind of genuine hospitality.

And the food? Incredible. The spicy rigatoni was easily one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. I added shrimp to it and… chef’s kiss. It was rich, flavorful, perfectly spicy. honestly one of the best meals I’ve had since moving to SoCal. My husband ordered the salmon and that was just as delicious.

Between the amazing food and the unforgettable service, this place really left an impression. I already know I’ll be back, next time for a little bestie dinner date. This might officially be my new go to spot for rigatoni, and I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.“

“Great menu with lots of diversity...there is something for everyone. We usually go with 3 to 4 people in our party and often share because that allows us to try more of the menu and we have always enjoyed each and every item we have selected from the menu. Beer selection is great...almost as large as the food menu. I have always had good service at all of the Finney's I have been to for lunch or dinner... Orange, Brea and Camarillo. Great restaurant!! I would highly recommend you try it...you will not be disappointed.“

So my last review was 3 stars 🌟 because it was not a positive experience, bad service etc... but giving it another chance I've gone back with friends 3-4 times in the past 2 months, had to see if it was a trend in anomaly. I'm happy to say that the service has been great, even greated at the front door, and a thank you on the way out, the food was great, came during Happy Hour and portions are the same, no games! No short order kinda deal, place was packed and food was great! Ill be back for sure and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND“

“We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!“

“The staff was very friendly and great service. Prices for brunch are great. They have $20 bottomless mimosas! Food was very tasty. We ordered two different plates and just shared half of each. Atmosphere was great. We went there on a Sunday mid morning and They weren’t packed at all, which was nice. Looking forward to trying their lunch and dinner menu. “The Duck Confit Spliff is a great representation of the Vietnamese & French cultures “wrapped” up all in one dish. And for a more traditional & fun way to eat it, you definitely have to use your hands. My only wish was for a little more duck in the spliff.

With the Ebelskivers, the concept was again brilliant. The garlic emulsion creates an intense garlic flavor but in a light and airy way. But like takoyaki, I wish there was more escargot in the batter to remind me more of that chewy feel from the traditional dish.

The surprise star of our meal was the Royale with Cheese. The wagyu had great flavor and char. And the sesame seed bun held up well for this napkin-required burger. But those pickles were amazing nuggets of necessity to add balancing acidity to the richness of the dish.

We definitely want to try the Duck Breast, the Spanish Octopus, and the Prix Fixe Meal on future visits. A final thanks to Chef & Curtis for the friendly service and explanation of the menu.“

“Fantastic service with very a friendly and attentive staff.
Went for my son's birthday as he was craving shawarma. He got the lamb and his girlfriend got the beef shawarma. Both of them said it was very tasty.

I had the chicken curry stew and have leftovers. It came with a Greek green salad and basmati rice. So delicious and such deep flavors.

We'd come back again for sure and since my son and his girlfriend live in the area, they are adding it to their spots too.
