“Exceptional cuisine in the heart of Sonoma. The food is a fascinating blend of Californian and Northeast styles, reflecting the restaurant's location and the chef's roots. Execution of food and service is top-notch, with every detail carefully considered. The space is very inviting, albeit a little cramped given its location in a former house. Definitely a place to visit again and again.“

“Ate there for the first time yesterday and can't wait to go back. We're vegetarian but had no trouble finding incredible offerings. The mushroom/leek risotto was the best I've had. The sweet corn tamale appetizers were surprising and flavorful, and the grilled avocado tostados fabulous! On beautiful grounds with fresh produce growing beside the restaurant. Staff was friendly and efficient. Just a great experience!“

Everything on it was wonderful and the fried chicken was delicious 👨🏻🍳💋We will definitely come back for dinner…compliments to Marco at the bar as well. He was attentive and engaging and a pleasure to have as our first point of contact. The company, and Marco’s attentiveness has us planning on a return visit for dinner soon!“

“i loved the outdoor seating giving a rustic bar feel under the trees. the food comes from good local farms and i would suggest them to stop using seed oils for frying and cooking. it’s toxic. causes diabetes. they could also make the bread with a 3 day cold ferment that will remove all the sugars so there’s no spike in your sugar and insulin. just some health tips.“

“The food is good. For a while, their menu was pretty sparse, but they've recently added some items. I have tried many different items there over the past year and the food is always good. The beer is terrific; with styles to satisfy every palate. The service is great and the staff is friendly.“
“We stopped in because we read about the new happy hour that runs from 3PM - 6PM Mon-Fri and we thought we’d try it out. So glad we did! They have a new chef who created a bistro and bar bites menu that’s great and not expensive. We had the sliders and the burrata. Delicious! The sliders have a hint of heat in the aioli which we loved. I had also forgotten that they serve cocktails. Christopher the bartender knows his stuff. They still have all the great wines, often have music, and are open late. What’s not to love? We’ll definitely make it a regular stop. Heidi and Scott, the owners, are super welcoming. It’s a St Helena gem.“

“We dined at Taps On The River for the first time last evening. I was so impressed with the service and friendly atmosphere. We chose our table inside by the large windows that looked out on the River. Our server was Jessica and she was simply wonderful. She was very attentive throughout the meal but not intrusive (give this lady a raise!). The food was wonderful. Plenty of choices for all. I might suggest that you put something chocolate on the dessert menu. Thank you all for a delightful evening.“
