Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. “What a gem...hands down the best elotes l've ever had!! The corn man is super nice and super fast at pumping out Elote via cob or bowl. There was probably 20+ people ahead of me with multiple orders but it only took 25 minutes to get through since he's so efficient. It can be so amazingly rich and heavy for some folks but this is what you're coming for! A guilty pleasure ruminating in cheese, mayo and liquid butter and corn. I prefer the bowl over the cob since it's much easier to eat. I also recommend getting two at once so u don't have to wait in line again and it's so cheap. 100% recommend!“

“Exactly what you want from your street taco experience. Made fresh on site right in front of you, great people, great flavor, and a great value. We got quesadillas for the kids (which I ended up eating the leftovers of), and 5 tacos - 2 beef, 1 chicken, 1 pork, and 1 fish. All were fantastic!“

“Absolutely delicious, cooked fresh and everything you want in a snack. There’s lots of savory and sweet options- I went with a ham and cheese one and a mixed berry cream cheese one. It looks like they have new and limited flavor options rotated out regularly. Paying is cash or Venmo only, but was very inexpensive. It took about 10 mins, and there’s some picnic tables nearby with cute little birds to keep you company while you wait.

It was cooked perfectly, melty and piping hot on the inside, and crispy on the outside, with a mildly sweet and crispy shell. Absolute perfection! A great way to grab a quick snack and take a short break while shopping. I definitely will be back.“

The pork was that crispy cook too, but they could cook it how u like. Where im for sure sold is that the tacos are cheap. I've noticed the price rise over the years. Another plus goes to the location. I believe if they aren't there, or right next to them this dude makes these mash potato meat and veggie bowls in the potato. Im telling you, you really have to check out the food on the street. Both the tacos and the potatoes. Last thing, they weren't those little tacos either. Nah, these tacos got gains. 4100 isn't a typical spot for me on a Sunday, but it definitely will be now that I know Nugtown will be there.

I've worked in the service industry and done local food reviews for 10 years across Detroit, Denver, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. This is one of the standout spots, hands down. That is saying A LOT.

Hand battered chicken, everything made to order, and Mike will let you know exactly what you need without trying to upsell and swindle you.

“So yummy, so quick. The Taco 5 y 10 is filling and delicious. Shared it for a little afternoon snack and honestly felt full. We got it with carne asada but I think I'm becoming more of an al pastor person these days so would want to try that in a taco or something in the future. Pay via cash, Venmo or Zelle.

There's other businesses under the bridge including a taco stand with unique meat fillings like lengua and corazon, and a pupusa place that also sells Porto's boxes (like guava & cheese pastries).“
