“Im glad most of the reviewers got this one right. One reviewer of a different restaurant down the street said, save your moneu and skip this restaurant and go down the street to Mamita Peruvian instead, so i took the advised. Glad I did.

Mamita Peruvian Restaurant has a unique service, i may be wrong, but i observed all waiters service all tables/customers in an attempt to assure all customers were good with their food or attentive should you the customer need anything such as drinks etc. I wasn't sure on some things on the menu including the famous alcohilic Pisco drink or the ice cream, but the waiters would answer each question with patience. The waiter even recommended a new dessert just in, Pisco Sour Cheesecake (DELICIOUS highly recommended)!

This place has Great ambience, Great Service, and of course, Great Food!

We tried the Pisco Sour drink, Pisco Sour ice cream and Pisco Sour Cheesecake. Chica morada. Chicharrón de pescado (fresh and tender), Saltado de Mariscos y Mojarra Frita. Their green sauce is subtle with enough spiciness to satisfied your taste.

I do think you're gonna be satisfied no matter what you order. No complaints on food or service. Yes, I really like Peruvian food, and this is one place worth going back to.“

Husband had their beef stew - cultural difference? As he would have preferred not to have the meat still on the bone in his stew and couldn’t figure out why it had a side of rice when it was basically a piece of beef with a bone on a bed of mashed potatoes covered in more of a gravy than we traditionally think of stew.

We tried some sides that were fairly disappointing and I would definitely forego these if I were you.
Corn nuts were very sparse and just the large corn kernels that I had in my saltada not seasoned or cooked special. Fries seemed like what a home cook can get at the grocery store, but not cooked demonstrably better than popping them into your oven.

Staff were lovely - attentive, kind and happy to help.

They give you bread sticks at the start of the meal - those aren’t very inspiring, either. Hard on the ends.

We had the ceviche Classico & lomo saltado - I’m not even joking that my boyfriend and I had to hug after the meal because it was SO delicious and enjoyable. The flavors were bright and unique. “Another time we were at BODEGON 69, it was a wonderful experience where everything that is expected for calcification was combined such as a great restaurant, service, atmosphere, food all excellent, but if that were not enough the owners Mauricio and Sandra showed us their usual gratitude for our visit but also with incredible generosity, surprising us with the unasked for preparation of a Peruvian snack in addition to a dessert that is not on the list and that Mauricio in charge of preparing it at that precise moment. “The food is Peruvian in name only. This restaurant in Lima would fail miserably. The food is bad and does not have any Peruvian flavors, and the portions are absurd. As they say where I'm from, "están jugando a la cocinita." Not worth it.“

“Came to LA for the Copa America. We stopped by this place on our way to LAX and everything was excellent: food was delicious, host took care of us, there was salsa playing in the background. Strongly recommend this restaurant for good Peruvian food.“

“Ceviche de Pescado was almost perfect. Plate wise it reminded me of what I had in Peru. Had all the right additional ingredients and marinade. Only thing holding the dish back was the fish being used (swai, very fishy taste) and prep (pieces were too big). One suggestion i would do, reduce the portion size but get a better quality fish.“

“First of all this restaurant deserves its flowers and praises. Their rotisserie chicken is so good and tasty didn’t leave anything behind, I almost ate the bone 🤤 I’ve have Peruvian food all of the world but this right HERE is the best chicken I’ve ever aren’t in the states, it’s seasoned to perfection and it’s crispy not greasy nor oily. It melts in your mouth pretty much“

“I have gone here ever since I was a kid. This was where I first had Peruvian food and where I fell in love with Peruvian food. I absolutely love this place and will always recommend it if we are in the area. The food is amazing and so is the service. You can taste the love they put into every single dish. They are so kind here too! I’ve been to Peru a couple times and this places is as authentic as it gets! Highly recommend!“

“Found this place after an event nearby. Ordered the Ceviche de Pescado - fresh and delicious, plus the portion was huge. A little pricey, but worth it. Also got the fried plátanos - a simple classic done well. Then an inks cola to drink. The server was doing it all herself, so a little slow, but very kind and good service still. Will be back & recommend.“
