“Our first time eating here and went for dinner. The reviews in Yelp and Google Maps were very good. It is a casual restaurant. There is a barcode on the table where we scanned the menu. It was easy to order and the online app had pictures & descriptions. I had the Universal Seafood hot soup and my husband had the Curry Fishball soup. The soups came piping hot and big portion. The broth flavors were delicious and there were a lot of near and vegetables. The staff were very busy yet friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our meal.“

“Well things started off nicely. ordered a roll and some fresh sashimi. My wife ordered a steak, a cooked steak which was delicious. Here comes the issue. 45 minutes later and still no raw uncooked sushi. 55 minutes no manager or waiter has come by to discuss this. The roll and sushi (delivered to the table next to me that sat there for 10 minutes ) is finally delivered. I asked "will this be free?" he actually laughed amd said no. I told him to take the food and bring the bill. He actually had the audacity to tell me the roll and sushi would be removed from the bill. what a guy.“

“Came here on my last day in Santa Monica for a quick lunch. Nice and quick perfect for an afternoon work lunch or just a weekend treat. Atmosphere: Quaint little area with an open view of the kitchen and bits of asian decor. Food: Fresh and filling, I remember really enjoying the chicken katsu and baos. Succulent and filling. Service: Great service, no complaints, came in and the hostess greeted me and even gave me recommendations. Since I was from out of town I didn't get a chance to try Secret Bao again, but if I lived in the area I can see myself easily recommending it for a quick and easy reliable lunch spot.“

“I've been going to the Blue Owl with my daughters since it opened. The food is fantastic. The vibe is the closest to being in a late night New York eater. I always feel home here. And of course I love the Tuesday night open mic comedy. A staple in the Santa Barbara Comedy Scene.“

“Chose Black Sheep as I was curious about some reviews I'd read. A tad skeptical as we approached- outside looked like one of the many closed/empty storefronts along State St. Inside we were greeted and were seated upstairs....soon things really got busy so the vibe was encouraging. Our waiter greeted us with two tiny aperitifs to honour my bestie's birthday. A nice touch. Foodwise......very much potential! My sweet pea/sunchoke vichyssoise with Dungeness crab was outstanding and my friend's sea bass with beluga lentils and Chinese broccoli was super too. I also had the bone marrow on toast which I was very excited to get. The marrow was delicious but the toasted baguette underneath was soaked with butter(?) oil(?) and was way too rich for me to eat more than one piece, sadly. The accompanying crumbs/pear and parsley topping was a good counterpoint to the marrow- it would have been better to have used plain toasted baguette underneath though, I think. All in all, a very nice dining experience, just needed a few tweaks!“

“In Santa Barbara for vacay, this spot was recommended by a local. wings - half and half of the two flavor choices. Both the signature and the Vietnamese were delightful Green papaya salad - ingredients were fresh and tasted good. But not my cup of tea, preferences? Braised pork noodles - kinda felt like a half/third sized portion for a noddle dish. This is an individual sized side portion. Tasty, but tiny. Naughty nuri spare ribs - delish. Accompaniments - delish. Service was prompt and friendly.“

“I had the pho noodles with beef briskets, popcorn chicken and melon tea. I just wanna say the brisket is the best in SB!!! The popcorn chicken is a must-order-item!!!The shop looks modern and clean. Looking forward to try their Creamy Tom Yum noodle soup!!! Hope they will have some fried rice soon!!!“
“Nothin like my home spot on Vermont near LA city college, space wise (its underneath a parking structure on UCSB) but every bit as delicious food wise! I work in Santa Barbara and was craving beef bowl and threw a Yelp Hail Mary to see if there was one in the area ... JACK POT!!!!“
“I came to Mojos for the first time today and had an amazing experience. This is my first year living in IV, and usually I don't have a good experience at restaurants considering majority of the workers are students, they don't necessarily have the best customer service. Oh boy did Mojo prove me wrong. I think they have the best boba in town, and their pork belly bowl was one of the best meals I've had in a while. Seems like I'll be spending most of my time at IV here at this cafe. Relaxing environment, great food & snacks, amazing customer service--Does that not sound like the place that college students belong to? You haven't tried this place yet? What the hell are you doing... TRY IT NOW!“
“Decided to try this place out last night - Got the pork chow mein to-go and I like how they packed in the food to make sure the customers get a worthy meal. I like how the menu has such a diverse menu that you typically wouldn't see in IV otherwise. My only concern was that there was a small hair in my chili oil packed to go, which was a bit of a turn off. Otherwise, i want to come back and try some of their other dishes!“

“This is some of the most generous poke I’ve had by far. The price is just like any other poke spot but more food. I Recommend getting literally anything. My family and I had different proteins and different sauces and asked for them to add all the toppings (which is included) and the three bowls tasted amazing.“
