It had big cubes of soft Pakistani cheese in a tomato based cream sauce with finely chopped ginger. Fabulous. We also enjoyed a grilled eggplant with a Persian yogurt cultured from sheep and goat milks. The butter chicken was exceptional: he grills his chicken, chops it, then adds the juicy chunks of meat into his delectable sauce. His ground beef kabob was juicy and tender. I enjoyed an inhouse, freshly made mango lassi. Wow! We have enough leftover to enjoy a shared lunch tomorrow.“

“I have eaten a lot of biryani but none so like this! The rice and meat were so moist and tender. The flavors were subtle yet so vivid. I LOVED that they used actual chicken (not tenders or cubed chicken) I'm not sure the placement but I'm assuming the chicken had to be the drumstick meat bc of the texture. Extremely savory! The rice was cooked well and it was very fragrant as well as tasty. I also received a very large portion as well. The other dish was delicious, I should have requested for more spice but it was good the way it came. I am used to ordering it as a paste but this resturant makes it thick which was fun to eat. I took my food to go but saw that it was nice and clean inside. I'd definitely return just to eat here again! I'm really glad I found them!“

We had the garlic naan, butter chicken, lamb curry and palek paneer...all were outstanding...intense flavors, spice. Loved it and will definitely be back when we pass through Roseville again.“

“I was looking for veggie based food places in the Folsom area and came across Mantra. I decided to place an order for pickup Saturday evening and ordered the Kerala Veg Korma & Aloo Paratha. I was very impressed with the excellent quality of the food! The flavors of the Korma were distinct and I could clearly taste the cauliflower, coconut milk, spices, and other veggies harmoniously coming together. I ordered it spicy and it was comfortably hot without being overwhelming. The Aloo Paratha was similarly well made. Even the rice was exceptionally fluffy and tasty! Good service as well, I ordered pickup and my order wasn't immediately ready, but within a couple minutes no less than three people had come by to check on the status and quickly brought out the freshly made food. Highly recommended!“

“Honestly couldn’t be better. The food is flavorful and the portions are generous. We eat primarily vegetarian: masala dosa, palak paneer, and malai kofta. The kofta in particular is amazing— they literally melt in your mouth, like little clouds of flavor. I don’t think you could go wrong here. The naan is fluffy, the dosa dough was so thin and light but generous on the filling… I really could go on. Not to mention every server we’ve had was so sweet and eager to answer questions and help.

As of October 2024 I would recommend keeping your party to 4 or less people or ordering to-go because the tables/booths are fairly small. The place was very clean inside. “We were a part of 7 person group . We ordered the chicken seekh kabab, chicken malai boti kebab , fish , lamb keema , chicken methi , different naans. All food was good . Personally loved the kheema. Very melt in the mouth texture and taste. The fish was also very light and tasty. The seekh kebab is a bit dry but with the chutney it was good.
