“This year we chose Black Bear diner for the location of our annual Chrispen Team Pumpkin Pie giveaway, and we couldn't have been more impressed. The manager Isaid was amazing from the start helping me plan the event and order hundreds of pies. The large patio provided a private and cheerful atmosphere and was the perfect spot for the event. Carlos and the rest of the staff were amazingly attentive and handled everything we needed on the day of the event. All of our clients raved about how delicious the pies were and loved the convenient location. We can't wait to come back next year!“

“What a great new addition to Brea! We were impressed by the quality and variety of their offerings. You order at the counter, grab a seat, and the team brings everything out fresh. We ordered the Beef Empanadas to start and we got these mains - Salmon Bowl, Peri Peri Chicken Plate, California Burger, Gaucho Steak Sandwich to share.

The Beef Empanada was so good, with the flakey crust. Our entire party really enjoyed all the dishes, the portions were generous and tasted delicious. We also got the Triple Chocolate Cookie which was the perfect finish.

Overall, this is a great option for lunch and dinner. They also have a nice patio that’s dog friendly. Their staff was ultra friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!“

“Stopped by this establishment because my normal breakfast spot was full to the gillz one particular morning. This establishment was pretty darn close to being full and seated us promptly. I was pleasantly surprised by the food which was spot on. I opted for the chicken and waffle which was hearty and sumptuous. While I still consider my go to breakfast spot to be Georgia's bun n burger up the road, I believe I'll keep this diner as a formidable reserve in my back pocket.“

“It had been nearly 15 years since my last visit. I must say the decor is exactly as I remembered. Took 3 minutes to be seated then we were greeted by the most friendly and attentive waiter I’ve EVER had at any restaurant . I’m a huge lover of the cabbage salad so I gorged on a big bowl before dinner. I ordered a medium rare fillet and potato and it was cooked to perfection. I so wish I lived nearby as I would pay it a regular visit. I’m so glad the Clearmans Northwoods inn has not been changed.“

“Great food but telling me to celebrate my birthday at Pauls place? There are many places including Jersey Mike's, Farmer Boys, and restaurants etc that give you free food for your birthday. “I have been going to 6740 for years. They have beer and wine. They have TV's for sporting events. The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed their wings, but recently we had a less enjoyable food experience. The wings were served cold and the grilled cheese burger was very plain. Prior to that, this was one of my favorite places for wings. I hope it improves if we come back. Maybe it was just a busy night. I don't know.“

“I got the Mongolian beef, extra spicy. It was tasty, but 85% rice, and was actually a little sweet not spicy. They merely threw more whole red chili's but nobody actually eats whole Chinese red chili's.

My friend got the swordfish, and opted out of the rice and upgraded to double string beans, didn't look like they doubled it.She said there's no hint of flavor on the beans, like they were simply boiled. She did like the caper sauce on the fish but had to ask for more.

Both dishes were lunch sized portions with dinner pricing, but there's live music (Friday 7pm), so just realize that it's less of a restaurant than a fine whiskey bar with food.“

“I was with my coworker and craving a great pozole and this spot definitely didn’t disappoint. Solid old school diner decor with a homely feel.

I had their steak and pozole/menudo aka “50/50” and it was delicious. Lots of meet, tripe and nicely sized hominy. Loved it and perfectly seasoned. The steak was seasoned to perfection and was medium well, I prefer medium rare but it was still very delicious. Excellent customer service and a solid spot to stop your soup cravings.

“We (a trio of ladies) chose this Applebee’s for a little reunion dinner after a movie night, and we’re so glad we ended up here! It was one of the few places still open around 9 PM, and it turned out to be the perfect spot.

We were greeted by Gerardo, who set the tone for the night with his kindness and professionalism. He gave us plenty of time to look through the menu and even pointed out the best deals without ever making us feel rushed. Despite his device acting up, he handled everything quickly and smoothly. Throughout the evening, he checked in on us at just the right moments to make sure we had everything we needed.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and enjoyed a relaxed, fun reunion dinner. We’ll definitely be returning soon! Please give a big thank-you to Gerardo for making our visit so easy, enjoyable, and for sharing a laugh with us when he heard our wild stories as he walked by!! “This is a surprisingly nice restaurant inside Nordstrom's. The server was excellent. We were not rushed but he appeared the moment we needed something. The food was very good. I have had the burger and another time, the fried chicken sandwich. My friends had the salad nicoise which was delicious and filling. For the evening, the cocktails are good as well. The window seating is lovely since until the weather is warm enough for their terrace seating. Take the elevator to the 5th floor, and you won't be tempted by the January sales.“
