“Wow! I’m blown away! We saw a instagram reel of some influencer trying this place and it’s in our backyard so of course had to come try! Peyton was so funny, had a great attitude and great suggestions! We got the chicken Pesto sandwhich with sweet potato fries and the uptown classic burger with onion rings!! AMAZING TASTE, GREAT QUALITY! As far as pricing goes I think it’s priced well, you get what you pay for sometimes!!“

Was a bit difficult to order with the speaker for some reason wasn't working well.
Inside its clean including the restroom.

“Hello This is a good news/bad news review. We frequent Only Place quite often. We probably average about 3 times a month. But it's not unusual to go a couple times in a week. Your food and serving staff are excellent. Among our favorites are Whitney, Bronwyn, Hanna, Jose to name a few. Whitney is especially great! Now the bad news. We were in last Friday and were shocked with the unexpected bright lighting. It was uncomfortably bright. Nobody needs that much light!! And considering the average age of your customers it's even more important to keep the lighting flattering. We had to move from our booth because it was so disconcerting. Please please please change the bulbs in the overhead lights. If you have to squint to see the bulb it's TOO bright. We loved the family atmosphere of Only Place. The new lighting level ruins the atmosphere. We're begging you please return to the previous pleasing level. Thank you“

“Oct 2026 •• I've eaten here a handful of times in the last couple of months, and never had a bad experience! The service has always been top notch - they're very accommodating especially with my elderly parents (in wheelchair and walker) even on busy nights.
This weekend, I notice that there were a lot of multi-generational families eating and it was nice to see. Food is great and reasonably priced (as reasonable as it is with prices right now). A lot of standout in food: pot roast, the small plates and appetizers, among others.

“It had been nearly 15 years since my last visit. I must say the decor is exactly as I remembered. Took 3 minutes to be seated then we were greeted by the most friendly and attentive waiter I’ve EVER had at any restaurant . I’m a huge lover of the cabbage salad so I gorged on a big bowl before dinner. I ordered a medium rare fillet and potato and it was cooked to perfection. Food was tasty but pricey for what you get. We had the Caesar salad to start, Mongolian beef (good but not a large portion of beef with lots of rice for $32), shrimp tacos were on the smallest street taco tortillas I have seen. Drinks and desert were good. Cool vibe and atmosphere.“

“What a great find! Googled burgers and brews and this place was on the list. Well worth our drive over the hill from Whittier. It had been about 20 years since I last had a PB&J burger. It was in incredible! The jelly makes the bacon taste like candied bacon. The tots were perfect little crispness bombs. Small craft beer list is the topper. We will be back. Honey had Freddy's chili cheese dog. The chili cheese dog didn't taste or look fresh.

I had the chicken salad, tater tots and a mango tea.

The chicken was kinda dry. I like chicken salads but the chicken was a little too dry.

Overall, the service was great. The place was very clean. Staff was constantly cleaning and wiping down everything, i.e., tables, soda area, the cashier area. The menu is large and readable beside the small one on the cashier area.

One young lady was very helpful. I didn't get her name but she is graduating from Cal State L A. She was polite, courteous, helpful and very thoughtful. I am coming back to try the custards, multi drinks with the custards. When I come back, probably try the steak burger which everyone seems to enjoy.“

“I actually ordered their chicken and waffle for breakfast and not thinking this can be that great (because I didn't choose this place but my mom did 😬). However, to my surprise, the Belgium waffle was huge and has a very good texture with a special dough. And Man, that chicken thigh is something else! I love that chicken was marinated first, then fired (or baked) so it's juicy and not dry at all! Not to even mention the Hispanic servers there can speak Chinese so that's why they can draw my mom back (and now me)! 🤣 👏 Bravo Nano Cafe 👏“

“I have Applebees a try after probably 12-15 years since my last visit. We went to try their new 2 for $25 menu. The selection for that price is pretty limited but they had some nice upgrades. I was unfamiliar with their menu and food preparation. I ordered their OM Burger. Upon reading the description, it sounded like a regular burger. When it was delivered, it was cut in half and the cut ends were sitting on a sizzling plate and in a bath of melted cheese. That was so unappealing and unappetizing. To grab the burger, I had to place it in a napkin to ensure that my hands and clothes were not going to be covered in the grease that dripped down.

However, the server and manager were very understanding and remade it on a regular plate in a standard burger like fashion. In the end, I will return because of the service. I now know how to order the burger so that I am not instantly repulsed by the gobs of grease that they added unnecessarily.

Overall. It was a successful experience even if it wasn’t perfect in all aspects. HOWEVER, watch out for the automatic 20% calculation on the bill. The tip (at 20%) should have been $6. The bill calculated $10.12! Super shady if you ask me.“

“All 3 totally enjoyed the meal. The menu is limited but we all throughly enjoyed each item ordered. Waitress was very helpful and informative. Noice level increased as area occupancy increased, unfortunately. Next time would choose seat further away from center or outdoors. All in all very pleased with dining experience.“
