“A rare visit for dinner tonight on Friday , had a special for ribs and I couldn’t resist! Carlos and Caitlyn were great. Had a moment to share with Carlos the years I lived in Jalisco Mexico and what can I say Caitlyn has been great as always. She has been a great server since 2019, I hope she never changes.“

“We custards decided to give Freddy's a try. Been driving passed the place quite a few times.

Honey had Freddy's chili cheese dog. The chili cheese dog didn't taste or look fresh.

I had the chicken salad, tater tots and a mango tea.

The chicken was kinda dry. I like chicken salads but the chicken was a little too dry.

Overall, the service was great. The place was very clean. Staff was constantly cleaning and wiping down everything, i.e., tables, soda area, the cashier area. The menu is large and readable beside the small one on the cashier area.

One young lady was very helpful. I didn't get her name but she is graduating from Cal State L A. She was polite, courteous, helpful and very thoughtful. I am coming back to try the custards, multi drinks with the custards. When I come back, probably try the steak burger which everyone seems to enjoy.“

“Every year after the Glendora All Class Reunion Picnic in October, members of the graduating class of 1969 aim to meet up for a more intimate visit at Club House 66. We started it the weekend of our 50th High School Reunion with dinner the night before our formal gala. We had our 70th birthday on the beautiful patio there 2 years later with a wonderful buffet dinner. We no longer have a committee planned reunion but we have committed to trying to make the Annual All Class Picnic and then having a no host gathering on the Club House 66 patio. This year there were 14 of us,74 year old, coming by after a day at Finkbiner Park to have drinks and dinner on a warm Indian Summer night to reminisce with childhood friends. Our server was Ruth and she was delightful and her team made us feel like royalty. They set up the table to greet the group and kept the drinks flowing , the water glasses full and brought us delicious food as we ordered it thoughout the night. Ruth made sure we each had our own bill. We didn’t even have to ask. We interacted with the other friendly families out on the patio and we all felt like we had come “home”. It was the perfect ending to a great day spent laughing about childhood memories and our journeys into adulthood. We will be back next year and plan to celebrate our Class of 1969’s 75th Birthday right there on that picturesque patio. Thank you Clubhouse 66, Ruth and the whole team who made us feel so special. ♥️“

“The pastrami at The Hat is exactly what you want when you’re craving something salty and over-the-top. I liked that the meat wasn’t overly fatty, and the portion size is almost comically huge. The fries could use a little more crisp, but dipping them into the pastrami drippings is kind of the whole point. It’s not fancy, but it hits the spot.“

You can see in the textures that some of the more time intensive food is prepared by hand and not canned.
Benedict was great, coffee tastes like a decent brew I'd make at home, not instant and no cut corners in the kitchen.
