“In the middle of the Angeles National Forest, you don't get many amenities. With Newcomb's Ranch gone, we're lucky to still have Crystal Lake Cafe. Even if you just come for a day visit, please support this little shop. You can get trinkets, snacks, and everything you need for camping and glamping, including hot food. There are picnic tables for patrons of the business so pop in, look around, say hello, and have some Frito Pie!“
“Really fantastic place to call home! Great community of people! Everyone is willing to help you out with any problem you may have with your unit - big or small! And very knowledgeable to boot. There is a master of every trade there. It's a really special place.“

Always great service even if we just sit at the bar with the hubby, always a great atmosphere with kids or no kids! It's our Go to place for a very long time now! Thank you for the great service and great food!“
“The 20 oz. Rib eye and Filet Mignon steaks, Potato Romanoff and racing atmosphere made our evening superb. The only thing better was our server "Bobby"who is on top of his game. We look forward to seeing him and another great dinner at The Derby in October. Thank you for making our evening so special.Richie and Marcia Mc DonaldParking: Easy Valet Parking, very professional staff - a delight to do business with“
“This is now my Go To place when I'm at work during the week! I absolutely love their fresh squeezed orange juice & their Pineapple juice! They are both bursting w/ so much flavor! They're a must try! They are very friendly, great environment, great customer service, I love the ladies that work here, they are super nice, very attentive & I always try what they recommend! It's been about a year at least since I started coming here and I'm so glad I gave them a try! I recently tried their BLTC sandwich, super delicious, a must try! I also recommend their Diane Salad with chicken for choiceof meat, I order it w/ ranch & 1000 dressing, so much flavor! My kids love their grilled cheese sandwich, it's all my son talks about! I love their pastries too! Can't go wrong with this place!! ?“
“First time customers, best food ever! Don’t let the portions fool you!! It’s A LOT. Coffee was fresh, and food was tasty. Had the pineapple pancakes and my fiance had the stuffed French toast. 10/10 would come back, especially on a weekday.“
“I came to Lazy Dog on Saturday with my friend for brunch, and we had a great time. I ordered the Fire Cracker Shrimp and Chilaquilles, and both were AMAZING. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice as well. I definitely plan to come back.“
“Our family went on 3/30/24.Great service, the manager sat our party of 16 within 15 minutes. They accommodated us perfectly. We had five little ones with us and they brought their food out first which was awesome. Thank you so much for making our experience great!!Kid-friendliness: Great options for kids!“

Great service!Everyone is friendly & attentive, from the cashiers, to the servers, to the busboy & the manager. They WORK!! :)I was impressed with the manager Aileen. She was making her rounds happily greeting the customers. She stopped by our table & we had a delightful conversation. She is sweet & super friendly. She takes such pride in managing her restaurant that she was sweeping the floors to make sure it was clean for the customers. She even gave my mother & I a beautiful hug when we left & said, "God Bless."I LOVE THIS SIZZLER ♡Vegetarian options: Salad bar for vegetarians.“
“I'm not a meat eater, but had a delicious grilled cheese. Service is very friendly! I would love a beef alternative on the menu one day...? Please.?Vegetarian options: They offer a grilled cheese sandwich. I would love to see a beef alternative on the menu one day..? Very nice chain, with an additional vegetarian option it would offer choices to more folks? ?“
“We had patty melt, one with fried, one with onion rings, chocolate shake. Taste so good. I haven't found good patty melt anywhere around as good as Denny's , and I don't know why they don't have it on their menu. The waiter was a very good server, tentatively helping .“
“Giving them 5 stars for quality of food matched with reasonable prices. We got the pork chops, steak sandwich, beef taco, and taquitos. Driving through Old Town Monrovia after 9 pm looking for a place to eat and found JB Burgers. We didn't want just a burger, and was happy to see that their menu had a good mix of food and each of us could find something we liked. You order at a window on the street side. The inside seating was closed because it was almost closing time, so we took it to go and ate in the car but they did offer us to use the patio seating (it was a little too chilly out). Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the pork chops which were excellent. The plate comes with two thin cut pork chops. They weren't dry and had great grill flavor. The staff were very friendly and knew the ingredients of the menu. We would definitely stopped there again when in Monrovia for a quick bite to eat.“
“I usually use the drive thru. This is a great spot and they pay close attention to my picky order requests. I love the non MSG food and can not believe the bad reviews from Millenial impatient brats. Take a breath and know it is being made fresh and stop crying about how long mommy took to make you lunch.Dietary restrictions: no sugar. hold the secret sauce.“
“The chicken fried steak and eggs was AMAZING!!! OMG the gravy was delicious, it was like the steak juice was in this mix. The sourdough bread was soft and delicious witj a little butter and grape jelly. I dipped the bread in the gravy and almost fainted at how good it was lol. The coffee is bomb the service was great and the vibe was chill. We will go again!Chicken fried steak was a hit ya'll !“
“Thee best place for breaded fried fish and shrimp. They have daily specials with many different items to choose from. Not only seafood but steak, chicken, and burgers. Thursday dine in only,1 free kids meal w/purchase of 1 menu item over $13.95. Kids under 12. So many special combinations. Daily specials and take out family packs. Many items that I wanted to try, but i didn't know where to start. So I will be going back real soon. Oh prices are very, very reasonable. Trust me you won't be disappointed.Parking: Corner restaurant so u can get in or get out parking lot easily. Handicapp parking space is limited.“
“Arrived at 3:45 on a Saturday during the Christmas Holidays. We were seated right away. This place is awesome. Northwoods Inn's original location opened in 1958 in North Monrovia then relocated to it's current location in Covina due to the construction of the 210 freeway.Christmas atmosphere completes your dining experience.Yes, grab a bowl and serve yourself roasted peanuts. Then enjoy the endless purple cabbage , green salad and cheesy bread.Next your main entree. Something on the menu for everyone. Steaks, Seafood, Chicken....etcOn your way out do not forget to grab a handful of root beer barrel candy or their mints.Kid-friendliness: Fun for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Yes!“
“I enjoy this joint, it's the right amount of collagen knowledge and culinary/winery expertise. The student/staff are all always very helpful, polite and knowledgeable of not only the restaurants business but of the school in general as well, and knowing those minuet details those make a difference, “trust me”!“
“The wait time was 5 minutes with a full house. Got sat before 5 minutes. The sever Bryan was super friendly, attentive, and got us anything we needed. The food was delicious, more than fairly priced, and was flavorful. I will be coming back when I visit California again!“
“This a small neighborhood diner nestled in the El Monte Airport (SGV Airport). The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the food is just downright amazing. It's like your momma or grandma cooked it. I had the daily special, Chili Releno Omelet with Chili Verde sauce, home fries, and short stack pancakes, which were just perfect! It was crispy on the outside but fluffy and chewy on the inside. Wow. Handsdown the best pancakes I've ever had! Seriously. The coffee was also so good. We sat on the patio in the 40-degree morning chill, watching the small planes take off the runway. You could also see the majestic SGV mountains in the distance with snowcapped tops and such clear blue skies! It was just perfect on this day. So try the food and enjoy the atmosphere as well.“
“Native Fields is the best kept secret in Walnut. Run don't walk to try this fantastic restaurant. Not only is every meal I've had here within the last six months they never disappointed. The fried chicken, winter salad, squash soup and grilled cheese sandwich with the daily scrumptious baked desserts. Did I mention the fabulous organic wines???? Oh my ....see for yourself! Sterling is the utmost asset to NF. She will guide you on what to order and incredibly knowledgeable and makes sure your taken care of. Enjoy yourself culinary experience. You are so welcomed“
“OMG! If you were around in the 70's and 80's and remember going to Foster's Freeze, get ready for a time warp. Prices are not what they once were (duh), but the food is just as good if not BETTER! Burgers were awesome, and then, of course, we had to get my husband's favorite Chocolate Malt“
“The food is just good comfort food with great personal service. My go-to dishes are the corn beef hash, short stack pancakes, and the French toast. I love their fried chicken and waffles! So good! Their burgers are great, too. Good coffee to boot!“
“Great spot for burgers, they have a good cold beer selection to go with the burgers. It’s nice to have a quality burger spot like this one in the neighborhood.Oh!!! FYI the onion rings are freaking great !, kudos to the chef on his batter recipe“
“Everything was good except for the garlic fries. They were overwhelming to the point of after having 1 we had trouble tasting our other food. I like garlic but this was way too much. Besides that we would return but without the garlic fries. After getting a response from the owner I was corrected by saying that they don't have garlic fries, they have truffle fries.Even more troubling because they tasted garlicky and way over seasoned with that truffle flavor that you added. Therefore I stand corrected.Truffle fries....“
“A wonderful gem of a local restaurant in an area mostly driven by chain restaurants. The quality is superb and the service is both fast and friendly while prices are the same as you'd find anywhere else. We'll definitely be coming back again and again to try more of the menu.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available and the atmosphere is very welcoming to families with children.“
“This was my first time at Mooyah Burgers I have to honestly say that was one of the best Burgers and fries I have ever had. (I live around 40 miles away from Mooyah and happened to be in that neighborhood that Saturday I had to go back on Sunday because it was good) I feel bad because I don't remember the lady that helped me, she was so nice and accommodating. If it helps, I was there on Saturday March 20th around 3pm. She deserves a raise. Thank you so much for the excellent service!“
“Had lunch at the Denny's on Grand Avenue in W. Covina yesterday. The Banana Caramel Pancskes were incredible, the eggs were to my liking, and the hash browns might just have been the best I've ever had. The waitress was courteous and very accommodating. Denny's probably won't ever win the Architectural Digest award for exceptional interior design, but this franchise pairs great food with great service. Couldn't ask for more!Vegetarian options: You can ask them to hold the meat on almost any dish. Maybe not on fried chicken, but otherwise . . .Parking: Plenty of places to park.Kid-friendliness: They love kids.“
“For Years literal YEARS I’ll go clubbing with my friends and we’ll drive all the way from Pomona to this Dennys here in Duarte because the ones in Azusa and any other one on the way has either had bad food or poor service or anything else and this one specifically always over delivers at this specific location at late nights no matter what day of the week , day in day out , week after week , month after month. Extra thank you to Claudia our waitress for always here to serve with a smile , respect and patience for everyone including staff and patrons.“
“Finally made it to this new local favorite and my only regret is not having been here sooner. We didn't have dinner reservations but made it there early enough (before 6) where they have plenty of tables on a Friday night. I was in the mood for a cocktail that wasn't sweet, and the server recommended just the right one. I don't remember the exact name of it but it has cucumber and a hint of agave. I think tequila is the primary ingredient but it's not a margarita. It was refreshing and offered just the right hint of sweetness. My husband who is a big fan of Old Fashioned drinks had one and boy, was it good! No, it wasn't good, it was delicious! I don't like Old Fashioneds but this one was absolutely incredible. We will return just for the drinks. The food itself was delicious, even though it has minimal offerings for vegetarians. The Impossible Burger is the only choice, but it was cooked well and the fries were good. Our other party member had a traditional burger and raved about it as well.We found out they have live entertainment every night, starting at around 9 p.m., so we will return for that.Overall, this is a fabulous place with an impressive bar, good food offerings, excellent service and an overall good vibe. Looking forward to returning.Vegetarian options: The Impossible Burger.“
“My family and I loved this place. It's been a long time since we have tasted authentic not bloating after feeling food. The servers were great, food came out on a timely matter. The place takes you back in time enjoying the company you have away from electronics. I highly recommend this breakfast place.“
“Went to Giovanni's to celebrate my wife's birthday. Decided to keep it local and came here for the 1st time. We really enjoyed the food and service here, the lobster ravioli was delicious, the clam linguine was good too! Our server was great and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. If your in downtown Covina this place is a gem. Definitely recommend Giovanni's for a nice dinner. Btw the cocktails were ??“
“Love the atmosphere of the good ol' days. Country potatoes are a must try instead of the hashbrowns! Love em. We mostly go for the breakfast and when we are feeling it at night, we go eat some breakfast as well ?. We found this place by accident/chance and it was well worth find. Lastly, they have pies, small and big.“
“I stopped by on my morning walk to try this place out. The friendly server seated us right away and brought out menus and poured us coffee. This is a nice little restaurant where everybody seated appeared to know each other based on the conversations i was hearing. I was impressed with the large amount of choices on the menu. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito. After a few minutes, the server returned to tell me she was sorry, but they ran out of large tortillas, so i just ordered a chorizo plate. To my surprise, when she brought out my order, it was a very big chorizo breakfast burrito. The cook improvised and constructed a burrito using small taco sized flour tortillas! It was a work of art! It tasted great and i almost couldnt finish it because of the size. Great service and i will become a regular!“
“Talk about the best comfort food! You're greeted with a smile, not only is the food FANTASTIC, they serve a generous amount!!! With the surge of prices happening wherever you go, rest assured you'll get your money's worth here. I moved from here 19 years ago and when I'm in town.... I'm here at the Village Eatery!! Excellent!!!!! ❤“
“Came in on Saturday for a quick and simple bday dinner. Turns out our server Kaitlynn made it exceptional with her professional and friendly service!! It was a pretty busy Saturday around 9:40pm and the majority of the restaurant were seated with customers. Kaitlynn still went to all her tables and greet/check on all her customers. She came over apologizing for such a wait and got our orders. We ordered our usual, Avacado Egg Roll, Couscous Mac and Cheese Balls, Prime Rib, Clam Chowder, Strawberry Dream and etc. As soon as we finished ordering, our soup and drink had already arrived. I never experienced such speedy service at any other BJ's before. However, as we were finishing our soup, our Prime Rib dinner came before our appertizer (which was confusing but we were hungry and didn't care anyways!) Later, as we were finishing our Prime Rib, our appertizer came at the same time Kaitlynn came and checked on us. She noticed that our steak came before the appertizer and apologized for the service but we understand that it wasn't her fault anyways. It wasn't a big deal to us anyways as long as we get the foods we ordered. Later we got the famous pizookies and we got both the salted caramel and chocolate chunk. They were both amazing. Kaitlynn lighted a cute candle as she wishes me a happy birthday! At the end, she also wrote a happy birtdhay on my receipt!!I can't express how Kaitlynn made my day so much better with her cute, friendly and professional service!! She is one of the best server I had experienced at any BJ restaurant!! She pays attention to her guests and noticed all the little details! I rather drive a bit longer to have such an amazing experience than to save on commute time!! Again, thank you Kaitlynn for such an amazing experience!!Parking: Plenty of parking available“
“Food was good! Service was kind of rushed.. our waitress was moving pretty quickly & getting things wrong. But other than that, she was nice about everything! The busser was nice & helpful tooKid-friendliness: They have high chairs to accommodate the babies & a good kids selection for breakfast lunch & dinner“
“Obsessed with this place for breakfast, I tried a little bit of everything (thanks to the people I went with). The pepper bacon, potatoes, waffles, raspberry lemon pancakes, sourdough toast. Everything was delicious! The service was great too.“
“I had the brisket sandwich, and my wife had the iceberg wedge.I had the brisket at the suggestion of the cashier/waitress, and I was not disappointed. I can't remember eating a more tender brisket anywhere. I usually shy away from brisket when I eat out because it's usually tough, not very tender. I'm so glad I tried it.My wife had the iceberg wedge. It did not look like your typical wedge salad. This thing was like a boat of flavorful toppings. Bleu cheese crumbles, bacon bits, even the cherry tomatoes on it were good.I definitely recommend traveling here to eat, even if it's out of your way.“
“Double lanes, efficient drive-thru.Be advised that going in the left lane means you'll be paying and getting your food by the passenger side of your car.If you have a passenger, this is fine, but if you're a lone driver, be prepared to have to unbuckle and awkwardly try to reach over.Other than that, typical in n out place. Have never eaten inside, looks fairly small. I see people walking up to order all the time and they are always really fast.“
“I know I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it, these are the best biscuits and gravy around. Comfort food for these cold rainy mornings. Service is also outstanding. The whole staff treat you like family, maybe it's because we've been going there ever since we moved to the area 30+ years ago.“
“Old town Monrovia is cute and has great vibes. This cafe is just off the beaten path and is definitely a great spot to have breakfast. The granola pancakes are lovely with great flavors. I wish they had had more real maple syrup, but they were running out apparently. The bacon was cooked to perfection! All in all it was good food for a reasonable price, with great serving staff.Parking: Some street parking, but just down the street there is a lot with more parking.“
“Went here for St. PATRICK'S DAY looking to have a beer and some fish ? and chips with the wife. Place was crowed and quite festive ☘️. Service was slow with the beer as demand was high and the servers and bar staff were frantically filling orders for ? folks who were chugging away the green beer and other mixed drinks as fast as they were presented to the patrons. Patience was key and the bar and wait staff are ? Champs for working so hard on a Sunday St PADDY'S day. Beer and alcohol service for that day was also available outside on the patio. Enjoyed a cold one streetside with other friendly folks waiting to get a table. Once we were seated the wait staff was fast and polite. Drink order came around fast and surprisingly the food was just as fast too. I highly recommend this place for the fish and chips. Great batter, comes out crisp and light, good tarter sauce and their coleslaw is just the way I like it. Better yet they have one of my favorite Irish Cream Ales on hand Killkenny. Great Red Ale which is always on tap here throughout the year...Definitely coming back. My wife had ordered the same food dish and big thumbs up from her too...she doesn't drink alcohol so she ordered a Shirley Temple to which they served in a large beer ? mug which made her happy too. Would absolutely recommend this place as there is a great bar and restaurant atmosphere and setting in this quaint downtown setting of La Verne. A shout out to manager Anthony who was serving beer on the pation and showing great hospitality to everyone outside.Parking: Small downtown area next to college so parking is a little competitive depending on time of year and time of day and which day of the week. There is a lot to the east that has free parking.“
“Great food. Excellent service (Patty). Food is authentic fresh. Can get busy for breakfast. Would recommend joining waitlist. Without waitlist can get up to 1-2hr wait. The Pueblano chilaquiles were great. Menudo is great on weekend. The hostesses at front counter seem like not that happy. No smiles or welcome. Very business attitudes.“
“I ordered two Dole whip drinks, 1 with pineapple juice and 1 without. I went there after work, so the restaurant was basically empty. There are outdoor patio seatings. I'd go again to try their burgers next time. I parked in front of Burgerim.“
“I’m a fan. Lots of history here. This was also a filming location for the movie Bad Santa. The hotel IS haunted. But I don’t believe it is yet operational again. The Mayan is and it’s a really cool place. The staff is super friendly and engaging as well. Be sure to walk around and check out the pictures on the wall. Yes! They are from the 30s and 40s. Welcome to Old Route 66.“
“Longitude 118 is a lovely and modern American for all-day dining at Le Méridien Pasadena Arcadia. I came here just for a reg coffee and butter croissant. Both were good. Atmosphere was very relaxing. Female staff is cute, amiable and professional. Prices were economically high. Service was on point.Overall, I had a good order experience. I recommend it.“
“I had SUCH a good experience here! A lovely small business to support rather than going to a Denny's or IHOP. The service was so great and it's a nice and homey restaurant. The food was SPECTACULAR. The crepes were so good I got an extra order to go! I've been eyeing this place ever since it opened and had no idea it got so lively in the mornings! It's a great place to take your family out to eat and their menu is quite large! We got the Paris Crepe Combo (w/eggs and bacon), Fresona Crepe, Jamaica Juice and Iced Blended coffee. I also ordered a paris crepe and hobo skillet to go and can attest to quality to-go orders as well as dine in! I will definitely be coming back here everytime I'm back in the area.“
“Love the Copper Still Grill. You can get full on appetizers. I usually get shrimp and chicken wings. This time I was with a friend she got onion rings and they were the best. The staff r not really assigned to one table so they all pass by to check on you. Awesome place.“
“The photo below was found in the Chili Kid. It’s hard and you can’t crush it.I had food delivered so service is 0. , no matter which company you use for delivery,PLEASE hire only drivers the can understand and speak English. I, like many others, want to put our feet, have a glass of and enjoy an amazing Dog Haus meal. Not teach an English lesson because you have to say the same thing over and over because some people don’t listen.Dietary restrictions: There vegan choicesParking: Ok. Not bad“
