“This place is by FAR the BEST subs I have had. I first tried them back in like 2000/01 at there old location in Azuza. I live out by San Bernardino and drive here just for a sub that's how good they are. Bacon, avocado, turkey the best in my opinion. Hope they continue their legacy for years to come. “This place had high ratings so I went and I was glad. That was surprisingly delicious. It looks kinda plain when you first get it but the flavor is amazing!

The guys working there were incredibly nice and accommodating. You can tell they do it for the love of the food. They enjoy what they do. The food reflects both of those things.“

“My wife and I eat at The Hat when we want a treat. She loves the pastrami sandwich and I usually get a burger of some kind. The only thing that is certain is we get an order of chili fries, which is HUGE! We never finish the entire order but it is tasty to try every time. The only caution I have is this place can get packed around lunch and dinner so plan accordingly. We have eaten in our car many times because of the crowd.“

“You will never get a sub quite as lovely as these. I don’t know why they’re so good, maybe fresh bread and fresh ingredients IDK but Turkey extra chili is my fave!! Mom loves Milanesa and the fried sides are YUMM too! I learned how to make my voice heard at the old little market. The big construction men at lunch time would be shouting out their orders. “Bathroom was clean and smelled good despite the frequent traffic. I have never had anything but pastramis and fries from the hat but the turkey burger was recommended by my aunt.

I am not a fan of turkey or turkey burgers but I tried it anyway. It was delicious and juicy. Probably the best burger I’ve had all year.“

“The Hat has been on my list since I moved to SoCal. Today I finally had the opportunity to try it and it did not disappoint!
The bread was soft and the pastrami was excellent! Just a hint of smoke and super tender and juicy. The onion rings and fries were good ....and you get a TON!
We finished off with an Orange Bang - which took us straight to our childhood.

“I had the New Yorker Hot sandwich on sourdough while I was there. It came with a pickle spear and peppercinni, and they had the perfect freshness, crunch, and sour to accompany the savory sandwich. The New Yorker is a simple sandwich, and honestly, a good sandwich doesn't need the most exotic ingredients anyway. Sure, I could have made a sandwich at home, but did I? No. Also, I don't have the patience to do anything more than slap some cold cuts and mayo on cold bread. So let me tell you, you can tell that this place cares about their quality of sandwiches if I'm willing to be lazier than making a sandwich at home just so I can eat one while I'm here.“

“I didn't realize this place was over here. I recently started a new job and the girls suggested picking up food from TOGOs and I was so excited because this used to be my go-to place as a vegetarian for an avocado and cheese sandwich and then the two that were in the downtown Fullerton area have closed and I didn't know this one was out here so I'm excited to know it's here. For some reason Togo's always nails it with the avocado and if you're a vegetarian that is critical. The staff here was super friendly. I came on a rainy day at about 1:20 20 and the items we had ordered in advance were ready when I arrived and there was only one person in line ahead of me. Probably because I'm coming just after when anybody would have done lunch and on a Saturday. And I figure most of the traffic here is probably lunch traffic because it's a nice little spot with a lot of Windows and seating for your lunch break. They also have a little patio and the patio furniture was in today because today was the rare occasion where it actually rained in Southern California, but the patio looks like it would be really pleasant most days.“

“Awesome sandwich spot! The food was so good and they have squaw bread and sprouts which are my favorite. The owner, Chris, was so incredibly nice and generous.
Also it was super fast they are really efficient if you or on on time crunch.

“Ordered a 3 ft sub sandwich the night before I needed. Every place else wanted 48 hour notice. Got to say, the sandwich was fresh and amazing! It was enjoyed by all for my family reunion. “My new go to place for banh mi! They're open until pretty late for a banh mi place, which I appreciated when I needed to grab some sandwiches at 8:30 pm for a late dinner.

They offer a buy 2 get 1 free deal for the round bread banh mi. One is $6.25 so when you order two and get one free, it comes out to be about $4 each. The sandwiches I've gotten so far (grilled pork and grilled beef) are the most stuffed I've seen in a round banh mi!

I couldn't leave without trying their egg rolls and pate chaud. They're $1.30 each or 3 pieces for $3.75. Solid egg rolls and pate chaud.

Parking in this supermarket plaza can be a little crazy. Park towards the side to avoid the traffic.“

“It was a pleasure being assisted by JERRY he’s always on point. I’d rather go to this place than any other. He always greets u upon arrival. He’s quick, pleasant, smiles, has small conversation while preparing your food. He’s very friendly and a hard worker. Sadly the workers have to deal with running out of supplies. And disappointing the customers. Management really needs to step up their game. Take time to do the CORRECT intake on inventory!

“Judging by the location, the emptiness of the place, and the quietness of the kitchen, I couldn't help but assume that this restaurant doesn't get much attention.

I still gave it a try. The lady who took my order was really sweet, and her reccomendation of a BLT was spot-on. I waited no longer than 5 minutes for my sandwich, if that. The bread was the real star-I had the softest, tastiest multigrain bread I've ever eaten in my entire life.

The thing about this place is that it's surrounded by soulless, corporate buildings on all sides. It's hidden behind a bank and shares a parking lot with corporate offices. I doubt anyone in the area is actually looking for food, which is the sad part. The quality of the food I had was on-par with many chains that do well purely due to the location.

I will be reccomending this place to anyone in the area. I hope it builds a name for itself to overcome the crappy location.
