“I ordered the House Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Crystal Boba and I forgot to ask for no sugar, but to my surprise, it wasn’t overly sweet. It had just the right amount of ice, and the brown sugar crystal boba added a nice touch without being too much. There’s parking available for pick-up orders, which makes grabbing a drink quick and easy.“

“Gong Cha is always a staple of mine whenever I am looking for boba and they happened to have a convenient location near shopping and some good restaurants.

Note: Gong Cha locations use a non-dairy creamer but beware, these almost always still contain whey which is a dairy derivative. It's a common misnomer so always ask for non-dairy milk if you are vegan like myself or adverse to dairy products/have an allergy.

In order to get a non-dairy drink, I was told to order from the Fresh Milk Menu. I did so with my Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Oat Milk and it was satisfying overall. It is indeed quite sweet even with 50% sugar so I'd advise to go even less if you aren't wanting a completely sweet drink.

Staff were friendly and helpful.“

“Musubi Libre was a fun experience, $30 for 6 items and a coffee was a little steep for the sizes but the taste was on point. The Japanese egg was the moistest thing I've ever had. The owner greeted me personally and had a great attitude, keep on keeping on and follow them on “

“Great boba option to turn to here in Hayward that offers oat and soy milk as non-dairy milk options - a win in my book.

The shop is large with many drink options and snacks to choose from. You order from the kiosk in front but can ask the staff if you have any questions.

I ordered a Jasmine Milk Tea with Oat Milk and it was perfectly made. Highly recommend a lower sugar level since it's sweet as it is. They also did a great matcha latte that my sister ordered too.

Will definitely come back here the next time I'm in the area.“

Little Bakery Dessert •
22560 Foothill Blvd, Hayward

“Adorable little home bakery with pickups in HaHa Ramen & Sushi restaurant located in downtown Hayward. My cousin ordered this amazingly cute birthday cake for our grandma and asked me to pick it up. She had contacted the baker via WeChat and was able to request a customized design on their taro flavor cake. My cousin used a popular design style from China for their reference and they were able to replicate it pretty accurately! The cake came ribbon wrapped in a clear cake box - presentation was through the roof great! For the cake itself, it was 3 stars for flavor and texture and +1 for design. It wasn't too sweet (which is the Asian standard) and the cake part itself was fragrant and fluffy. The taro cream was light and subtle. Would have liked to tasted more taro-ness but that might be because the baker uses fresh, natural ingredients instead of artificial flavors - which is appreciated. They also offer creme puffs and drinks as well but hours may vary from what's posted because when I went for pickup (2:30pm on a Sunday) the baker themselves weren't there and only the sushi restaurant staff were present. Double check you have the right order before you leave in these scenarios because I was given the wrong order by the restaurant staff. I just said I was picking up a cake and was handed another person's order - I had mistakenly assumed there was only 1 cake order that's why they didn't ask me for the name or what was ordered. Only when I took a picture for my cousin to let her know I picked up the cake did I find out I got the wrong order. Good thing I lived close enough to quickly swing back. Street parking in front of the restaurant is sparse but I didn't have trouble finding a spot on the block.Overall, a great home bakery that offers cute cake designs on this side of the East Bay!“
