“Don't sleep on this place, best fried fish hands down.Don't let the wait scare you, it is worth it. Staff was cool, seems like a family run type spot. Remember its a take out window only and they are busy, know what you want and dont waste time at window wondering or being picky, there are always a lot of people waiting. I ordered fish (red snapper) and prawns, in about 30 mins my order was ready, it traveled well, was not soggy at all when I got home. Everything was bomb, excellent, fish was flaky and fresh. Highly recommended!“
“My babies dad likes to take me here sometimes for something quick and good ,their fried fish ,shrimp ,and chicken is good very flavorful they’re greens are preening good too especially to be vegetarian they are very flavorful. I’ve had their bean pies and their sweet potato pies. Pretty good as well. Definitely will help you if you’re having a fried food craving.“
“A new baker a the the Ferry Building Farmers Market. Oddly enough, there are now two vendors selling bean pie. Though this tent offers few pie options and also branched off to other baked goods.Big Baby: Tried a sample at the tent and knew I needed the whole pie! It reminds me a bit of sweet potato pie in terms of both taste and texture. Though maybe a tad more gelatinous. It's really a great contrast with a buttery flaky crust, smooth interior and crackling sugar on top.“
“It's easy to miss this place. But it is worth finding! The portions are large and the prices are super reasonable. It's a little hole in the wall, hidden gem type food. If you saw someone who wasn't a local here I'd be surprised. I had a torta carne asada, and hush puppies. There were so many I shared with a friend and still had left overs. They aren't going to hold your hand to order, and the space is relatively empty. You aren't meant to hang out.Wheelchair accessibility: A nice level entrance and open floor space.“
“The fish sandwich special for $4 is ? so delicious!! It definitely ain't your average McDonald's fish sandwich!!The 8 piece catfish with a side is what I got and the fish was so good!! Their yams YESSSS! The Mac and cheese got a little kick, tastes like they used gouda! Very good I'll be back soon... they close early which sucks! Yall should be open til 10!!“
“I also have a Soul Food Restaurant but in Sacramento. I came to this establishment from a recommendation after leaving a funeral. I met the staff including the owner, the food, the service and the conversation was great. I even seen a old friend when we use to live here. Love it will be back.“
“I have never wrote a review before today about how absolutely delicious a food item was, I added bacon, jalapeno, pepperjack and provolone to a Buffalo Chicken Ranch Cheesesteak and this may be the best sandwich I have ever had. Kudos to to whoever engineered this thing. Thank you for sharing.“
“If you enjoy a true classic fish and chips, then please know the negative comments about this place do not apply! The white fish inside the batter is always cooked well and doesn't have a funky after taste. The batter itself is very lightly seasoned and has a great bite with a nice crunch. Sure, they don't put all kinds of seasonings on it or loads of salt and pepper, but then that wouldn't be the traditional kind of fish and chips. To go with it, they have the most delicious tarter sauce you can find anywhere. It's so good. Especially with the deep fried prawns. Other than the fish and chips, fried prawns with a order of large tarter sauce, I haven't tried much else on the menu. But there is no need lol those items stand all on their own. Please, at least try this place and make up your own mind. I don't think you'll regret it.“
“Very friendly service. The fish pieces were really big. Everything was cooked perfectly. The only thing I would suggest is to cut the onions thicker for the onion rings. They were too thin, so the onion overcooked. Zucchini and mushrooms were big pieces. Fries cooked perfectly. Delicious fish“
