“This could easily be a 5 star location. I'll start with the things that drop it. But honestly, they are so small. Atmosphere, the main spot has it all, the side patio is still comfy but it feels segregated. The food is soo good, its just a few bucks over the average and would be the best if the same rate. There is a valet, but otherwise you have to find street parking. The chicken and waffles was the best. They paired up beautifully with taste. Couldn't tell you which was better. The servers and hostess are very friendly. Make you feel at home.“

“Okay so this place was at one point a bikini bar (and maybe still is?), but was recently taken over by the chef from Il Pastaio. The food is certainly better than one should reasonably expect from a dive bar, although you have to ask for the old menu if you want risotto with scallops, housemade tagliatelli, etc. Personally I find the combination of a white tablecloth and neon lights adds a frisson of dynamic tension to my meal, ymmv“

“UBG is the best place for great food and drinks and the best music scene around town. The owner Greg and the entire staff are awesome. It is homey but also Hollywood flavor! So many great events here. Any day of the week you can be sure to find something cool happening here. My band Bonnie Brae has made it a home away from home and just LIVE it here. So much great live music and variety! Comedy-jams-original music-you name it it all happens here.“

“Excellent afternoon here with a couple of friends. I had just finished a 2.5 hour morning hike so I was ravenous and ordered too much food but there were no regrets honestly. I thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. Their al pastor and chorizo & cheese tacos were excellent, and I loved the creamy seafood enchiladas. They honored my requests to make the margaritas a little drier for all of us, and they came out perfectly balanced. Definitely would return.“

“I’m (almost) speechless. My daughter and I had a celebration of life trip at the Hollywood Bowl. She wanted to see a concert that her mother had promised to take her to. It became my promise to keep. When I saw the back yard restaurant listed at the venue, I knew I wanted to add that experience. They did not disappoint! The food was perfect and the service even better. They did something for us completely unexpected and it truly touched my heart. We traveled thousands of miles to get there, but I’m sure we will return. In the meantime, I encourage everyone to enjoy the backyard. “The Greyhound Bar is my all time favorite local, neighborhood bar! The drinks are fantastic and the food is delicious! Literally the best “bar food” in LA! All the bartenders are friendly and make it a very welcoming place to hangout. I love running into the regulars here. The owner is also very cool, friendly and welcoming! They always accommodate my modified order of the Greyhound Burger into the best vegetarian version, I have yet to find a better vegetarian cheeseburger in LA. Also, the best and raddest bartender here is Iliana, beautiful inside and out! Highly recommend this place. Especially if you want to catch a game here or just get a great burger and drink!“

“I stop here a lot 2 for1 till 9 pm. Cant beat that deal! They play mostly all games and have multiple TVs to view. Drinks and is fire and the staff are the best. I hits this bar maybe 3 time a week. Good for games and karaoke night.

“Let me tell you about the melody Bar. The misses chose this spot for date night; constantly saying when she use to work in the area years ago, here and a co-worker would go there for lunch. I was like bet, let's do this. When we got there, I looked at her... She looked at me.... I looked at her.... She look at me.

We paid the cover charge and entered. The place was pact with people having a good ole time eating food, having drinks and giving to the old school hip-jop/r&b music. We sat at our time and were immediately were greeted and took our orders. We hade a couple drinks to go alongside our burgers.

Let me tell you something. If you are a burger guru, you need to hit up this spot. One of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. Everyone was friendly and the music had you in a great mood. If we didn't have other plans after, we would of been there until they close. Definitely will have to check out this spot again.“

“Nice walk-up bar with great food at the pool deck area at the Ritz-Carlton, Marina Del Rey. The staff is very friendly and helpful; they have numerous servers walking the pool deck to take orders, deliver eats & drinks and make sure the guests stay well-fed and hydrated! They also have outdoor seating at the restaurant patio, some with a fire pit. During our few days staying at this property, they came around about once an hour with free samples of drinks and snacks to try, which was really nice.“
