“Family owned and operated truck located in Boyle Heights / East LA area that specializes in tacos arabes and goodies from Puebla in general. The tacos arabes were a result of Lebanese immigrants to the area and boy are they delicious. I came here later on a Thursday night so it wasn't very busy and it was pretty chill. Just a few other people around me. The folks here were friendly and helpful. I ordered:A taco arabe especiale- their signature taco with their marinated roast pork on this soft flower tortilla. This was topped Oaxacan cheese and slices of avocado (especiale). There was this chipotle sauce on top of everything. The sauce added some smokiness to an already great flavor and texture profile. I really liked that flour tortilla. Quesadilla de flor de calabaza - zucchini blossoms with melted Oaxacan cheese inside a blue corn tortilla. Love corn and I love this. Nice and chewy with earthy and slightly sweet flavors to go along with their delicious salsaDefinitely recommend for tacos/ quesadillas etc etc or if you are just in the mood for something a little different.“

I missed the chance to go from the last time I came by. Many other taco vendors also recommend this truck for goat birria tacos.We got some goat birria quesatacos, labio taco dorados, which were lips, asada vampiro, and of course, gotta get consome. Not many places have goat birria, and most of the time, they tend to be too dry. Those quesatacos were super tender, juicy, cheesy, and packed with tons of spices and flavors. Dipping in the beefy, hardy consome, game over. I've never seen beef lips before, so I gotta give a try. It got the texture of beef tongue, also quite delicious. “Love Los Dorados and their perfect flautas- we always have an itch and craving, and find them either in Pico Rivera or East LA. They are so worth the drive! “Good seafood! Came here on a thursday night at 7pm and it wasn't packed at all. Come here before it gets too popular, because I can see this place blowing up. Shrimp Aguachile: I recommend waiting for the shrimp to marinate and cook in the lime juice first. When the platter first arrived the shrimp didn't taste as good but as the dinner went on the shrimp was sweeter and delicious at the end. Octopus Taco: Tender octopus, the sauce was a little too sweet for my taste but my friend enjoyed it the best. Sirloin Steak Taco: My favorite taco. Tender meat, yummy sauce, and cheese, you can't go wrong. Fish Taco: Not my favorite fish taco but you can tell the ingredients are very high quality. I think they need a hot sauce to add to this. Kanpachi Ceviche: Solid, not the best I had, but still fresh and tasty. Needs a hot sauce for sure!“

Store bought tortilla, no seating, no utencils, limited napkin and no hand wash station. Other well known outdoor taquerias do offer them and something Ave 26 to consider as well. “My first time going here was amazing. I did have difficulty at first finding parking. I didn't check ahead of time where to park or if there was any information where is best to park for this event. The way Google maps took us was on the back end so we parked on street which is free on weekends during the event. We got there before 11 am so there was no problem finding parking when we left closer to 1 pm there was hardly any parking on the street we parked. The music that was played by the DJ was amazing it lighten the mood while we waited in line yo buy food. The food lines were long compared to the other vendors that were selling items like jewelry, art, etc. The food at smorgasburg was super good. I was happy that there was vegan vendors and even vegan options for other vendors. The all vegan vendors were next to each other very convenient. It felt like a diverse of food overall. My partner and I enjoyed it so much. Hoping to come back sooner than later!Vegetarian options: There was alot of vegetarian friendly items. Suprising there was a good amount of vegetarian vendors and had aleast one option for other vendors.Dietary restrictions: There was vegan options there for sure. Vegan vendors such as donut friend, maneatingplants, Cena vegan, and champignon eats. Other vendors also had vegan options too. Smorgasburg is vegetarian and vegan friendly. I'm glad to see those vendors there.Parking: I parked on the left side of smorgasburg. The GPS took us to the back side so we parked on the street and was easy to get in from the street parking. Alot of parking before 11 am. That's the tim I got there by the time I left at 1 pm there was no parking on that street.Kid-friendliness: Babies and toddlers are welcomed. I saw alot of strollers since alot of parents came so thy were able to enjoy the experience themselves but it very loud environment so be cautious of that.“

“First time here after a concert at Sofi. Food truck opened late so we were able to grab late dinner. Great service. Since we were first time customer, they let us try their popular item. Not sure what is called but it's a fried corn tortilla with refried beans and meat. It was amazing! Their salsa is also spicy and delicious. We got birrira tacos, which was good, and the burrito is packed with refries beans and meat. I'm very picky when it comes to beans but these were my favorite. It's gooey and soft and perfectly seasoned. Would come again if I'm ever back in town.“

“Ordered the custard cream taiyaki. The custard cream is a delicious milky sweet that oozes from the warm fluffy taiyaki. It's made to order so be patient while you wait for the buzzer to alert you when your order has been prepared. Location is a small stall just outside the larger plaza and just outside of the Little Tokyo Market Place. There are some tables nearby to sit down and rest. The parking garage is a paid parking lot, the rest of the plaza has an abundance of other stores with different wares.Parking: Sunday street parking is free. Follow signs.“

“My coworkers had recommended this place after watching a Netflix documentary and let me tell you the story behind the restaurant is very heart warming. The food on the other is belly warming. If you come here the must is the carnitas tacos. Duh, simply the meat very tender and not fatty and the portions are big. I had two tacos and you can definitely make 4 with them and double it. The winner on the other hand I would say is the mafita. Pure hot cheesy mixed meat goodness. It's a giant carnitas taco with mixed meat with cheese. “Stopped by on a Friday for dinner and I'm already planning my next visit. My friend and I shared the botana, michelada and paloma. The botana tasted very fresh and I enjoyed the different flavors from the various seafood items in the botana. Their customer service was excellent, they were friendly and so helpful. They have tables and chairs for customers to sit and enjoy their meal. They set up next to a park which helped us when we weren't done eating by closing time so we just moved over to a picnic table at the park.“

They have a good variety of items and meats, but I would say they are most known for their al pastor (marinated, spit-roasted pork that is usually served with a slice/ chunk of pineapple). The service here is pretty efficient since they have to be - there's almost always a line. The vibe: depending on the time of day or night you come, it's usually a mixed group of people wanting to try this spot, people eating after a drinking session, or just people looking for decently priced tacos. One of the times I was here, I was standing behind Dante Basco (Rufio!), haha. Usually a fun vibe for sure. My usual here is two tacos (typically the al pastor) and a mulita. It used to be that there was a toppings and salsa bar where you would dress up your food. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or people taking advantage and taking too much stuff home, you now have to go to a separate window to ask for the toppings and salsa and they're individually packaged. I definitely think this place is worth going for the al pastor. I myself have been here multiple times. Parking can be tough, but if you are going during the week there's usually parking along the street facing south on LA Brea right around the corner. Just be careful though as it is a relatively high traffic area and some people seem to drive recklessly in this area.“

Now you're thinking theres no way the food is fresh if its served on a truck. Well the quality and textures here are 5 stars. My friends and I ordered the Tacos de Camaron, Poseidon and Mixta. The octopus and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Not too chewy and the combination of citrus with their house made salsa were perfect. Between the 4 of us this was plenty of food.
