“I ate here in March of 2024 and I have not stopped thinking about the meal. I am not exaggerating when I said it reminded me of my Italian grandfathers cooking. I had the chicken parm, soupa, a side salad, and a side of sausage. I did not expect this quality or flavor from Imperial Beach and I am happy to admit that I was wrong for my expectations. The food is perfect, the atmosphere devine, the crew working there were so welcoming and outgoing. This is a place that deserves your business. I can't wait to go back. “A place that makes you feel right at home!
The beer selection are their own brews and covers lagers to IPAs! The Japanese Lager is a personal favorite! They did bring back an old fave too of Mango Toasted Rice Lager!
Their burgers are full of flavor! A choice of 4/6/8 chicken strips that are a kid pleaser!
The swag and beer collection are a must to check out!
The place does get a little packed at end of school due to parents enjoying a pint while they wait for their little ones. I definitely did when my son went to Albert Einstein!

“In traveling around the US and Mexico, there are a few restaurants which stand out as memorable and indelibly so for the delicious food that they create plus in a manner and care that makes the flavors and texture just that much better.

We decided to try here for something different for breakfast add were we definitely pleased!

We started with the guava and cheese gelatte, a pastry that pleasure senses like a soft plushy sledgehammer. WOW!

The Smiley Christo, a tasty breakfast sandwich that I did not want to stop as well as the Mc Muff… that was even better!

All washed down with a Buko Pandan Latte, iced, and a B.S. Palo Santo Latte, hot.

What a great way to start our travels!

But that's my taste preference. Clean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. City noise not too loud. Service level perfunctory. Clean bathroom.“

“This was the perfect little place near the fishing docks and on the harbor. We were at a conference at the Manchester Hyatt, and it was definitely worth the walk to come eat here. “Craft beer places are a dime a dozen in SD, but I knew after one visit that Machete is easily going to become a favorite water hole to visit when I am in the mood for a good variety of craft beer. They have a bunch of different styles, and a selection of beers from breweries that I either haven't heard of or never tasted before. Love that. It gets boring seeing the same 3-4 breweries at every place that offers craft beer in SD.Vibe is super chill, casual and divey.Staff here is really nice. I didn't get his name, but he let me try a few different beers and gave great recommendations based on the styles I like.No food here, but the Papi’s Teppanyaki food truck is here from time to time. Check their IG for their schedule. Not sure if there are ever other options since I only recently found out about this place.Cheers!Edit: I came back a second time and the super cool bartender's name is Jett. If you come in on a day he's manning the bar, you're in great hands. :)

“This unassuming establishment literally transports you to the wild west as soon as you enter. Everything from ceiling to floor is beautifully decorated!

We came for breakfast and you can tell a place is popular because there were already 2-3 other parties that got here as soon as it opened which is 8am! By 8:50AM, it was almost 95% full!

-El Prieto Omelet (asada, camaron, chile california, queso, salsa chipotle and aguacate)
-Huevos Rancheros
-Chilaquiles Compadres (chilaquil verde y rojo con asada y pollo gratinados)
-Mole Enchilada

First of all, EVERYTHING we tried is phenomenal. Before you even order, you're given a basket with delicious Mexican pastries like conchas. I'm not exaggerating when I say that was one of the best conchas ive eaten.

Everything else had sooo much flavor.

The service is impeccable! You'll never run out of hot coffee because they make several rounds to ensure your cup is full.

“Upon arrival, saw a few indoor seating available, but there were plenty at the outdoor patio area. Decided to sit inside. Our order was placed at the register. Our dish arrived 10-15 minutes later. There was self serve drinking station. Don't expect fast food service at this place. All staff were attentive in picking up dirty dishes and utensils.

The shrimp kabob lacked taste, texture and presentation. Maybe it needed to be grilled a little more longer. Seasoning would have been nice. There was Siracha hot sauce available but didn't feel that adding Siracha sauce would boost the shrimp kabob. Salad and fries were fine. This dish was not worth $22

As for the beef dish, it was odd to see it being served in bowl, separated from the rest of dish. This dish was ok.

“Ordered the short rib burrito and thought it was really good. Yes, $20 is a lot for a burrito, but this was the first time I've actually been satisfied with my ballpark food. The quantity and quality was all there; definitely a hefty burrito.“

Would pass on the grilled fish taco bc it was dry and overcooked.
