“After a long day of playing soccer, the entire team visited Notorious Burgers. We loved the appetizers, especially the brussels sprouts and fried pickles. They offered a variety of food for everyone’s liking. My cheeseburger was the black and blue, and it was heavenly. Next time we’re in Carlsbad, will be sure to eat there again Great spot!!!“

“Great, casual place to visit in Carlsbad! Outdoor patio -Pet/kid friendly setting downstairs, and an adult upper deck bar with ocean view and fire pits. Good food and craft beer, extensive drink menu! Walk up counter ordering, and fast service!“

“The top sections on the menu are 100% plant based, and the second half has meat options. It sounds like they used to be fully vegan, so it’s disappointing they added meat to the menu. I enjoyed the Munchwrap and the smash burger was pretty good. Next time I hope to try the flatbread—they currently have one plant based flatbread on the menu.“

What really stood out, though, was the service, Mel, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and genuinely happy with our experience. “Smallish restaurant with tiny parking lot of about 10 spots shared between 3 businesses. Like the roll up garage door windows, lots of outdoor picnic bench seating under shade canopies (which we couldn't use on this rainy day). Beer selection is pretty good, we had the meat lovers 12 inch pizza and liked the thin crispy crust, a bit skimpy on the toppings but tasty enough.
Parking: I think 10 spots between 3 (?) businesses in this very small strip mini mall.“

“We came here with our dog on a rainy Saturday night. We were so glad to find a place with a covered patio. But then we were pleasantly surprised with how amazing the beer and pizza were. Duh. It’s in the name. lol. Anyhow there was some confusion about our pizza but Donny went above and beyond to make it right. It was a little hectic because it was so busy but if we weren’t visiting we’d definitely be regulars. Try the Detroit style hot honey, I’ll be dreaming about it.“

“My husband and I have been here for the very first time and we immediately fell in love with this place. The staff is amazing, they know how to treat you and make you feel at home. Alice is very passionate about her job and we loved her homemade desserts sooo much. A special mention to Michele, a very young yet extremely professional waiter, who contributed to create a cozy and pleasant atmosphere! As Italian, I can say it's hard to find place such Alice's where you feel so vividly the warm of our country. We will definitely come back!“
“Burgeon at the Grove has quickly become our spot. The beer selection is fantastic. My favorite is the Amber Ale. Service is consistently friendly and very welcoming, and on a super hot day, they have very strong A/C!
On our latest visit, we sat near the community board games and puzzles (these are a huge plus!). We got to spend some good quality time together (screen free!). We had such a great time sampling all the different beers while we doing puzzles together, kids coloring, and board games. It’s rare to find a place that balances top-notch craft beer with such a welcoming, family-friendly vibe. We all really enjoyed ourselves!
The atmosphere is laid-back, modern, and comfortable—perfect whether you’re here with family, friends, or just looking to relax with a great beer.

“5-star review... My daughter accidentally left her purse at Teri Cafe (Plaza Location) on Saturday. Since the cafe was closed Sunday due to a scheduled power outage, I stopped by Monday morning to ask whether it had been turned in. Thankfully, the purse had been given to management, and everything inside, including a substantial amount of cash, was still there. We are very grateful to the honest person who returned it and to the Teri Cafe team for keeping it safe. This experience demonstrated genuine trust, honesty, and integrity. Thank you, Teri Cafe!“

“Been going here a LONG time. Love their happy hour slices but they keep raising the prices and moving the time they do it. They currently do $2.50 slices 2-4pm every weekday for those willing to wait to eat. Best slice by far is the Birria hot honey.“

“While visiting from AZ, my son and his friends walked every morning to get coffee once they discovered Pier View Coffee Company! They loved EVERY drink they ordered! And we’ll be back next trip! (Side note…My son discovered his AirPods fell out of his pocket and located them at Pier View as we were on the road almost home. Huge shout out to the honest person who turned them in and another one for Anna and staff for helping us get them back. Does my heart good to find that there are still kind, honest and helpful people out there!) THANK YOU!!!“

“Tried Frankie's for the first time after passing by the place many times. It has a very nice chill atmosphere. I ordered the Irish Whisky Sour that was on special. The drink was made very well, with a proper pour and balanced flavor. It was so good I ordered another. If you're looking for nice place with a chill vibe, I would highly recommend Frankie's.“

“Pizza was good not great. I did only try a quick bambino which is their small pizza so will need to try Detroit style and others later for more of the experience. They are a Detroit pizzeria I believe but it is amazing for viewing sports. Plenty of TVs and seating (variety of seating is great too). All around a nice place to bring the family or sport bros/gals.
If you are wondering about draft selection, they have a good amount of local and California beers as well as a couple commercial classics.“

“Yummmmy. My fiance, son and I chose a restsurant near our hotel, and we were not disappointed. I chose Enzos bc it had BBQ, italian and wood fired pizzas. Jeff was our waiter and and was awesome. We ordered burnt ends, wings, original pizza added sausage and burrata app..... SOOO good. the ends were perfectly smoked and tender, burrata was simple but delicious and flavorful and that pizza was the best authentic pizza we all loved!!! Great service by both staff here. Bread pudding was anazing!!!! All around definitely coming back when in town!!“

“I wanted to surprise a special couple with two bottles of wine--one specifically for her and one specifically for him. I surreptitiously found out that they like going to La Costa Wine Co. and that Connor knows their profiles. So, I called the shop, asked for Connor, and explained what I wanted to do and who the bottles were for.
Ten stars to Connor! His passion for what he does was palpable through the phone. Almost immediately after I told him who I wanted to buy wine for, he told me they'd just walked into the shop. He went into a different room so they wouldn't overhear our conversation. Connor asked me about the price range I was interested in, we discussed a few options, and we landed on a red and a white that he was confident my friends would enjoy. When I asked if they like to munch on anything while they're drinking their wine, he said, Yes! The truffle popcorn. So, I added that to the order. The next day, I picked up the bag with the bottles of wine and the popcorn, and delivered it to her where she works. The best part of the surprise was that my friends loved the wines and, of course, the truffle popcorn!
My next visit to this shop will be to sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine :)“
