“I found the BEST pizza in San Diego. Crust was just right! Not too thick not too thin. The sauce was flavorful with the right amount of spices. My pizza was not greasy from the toppings. We ordered a Greek salad that was crisp and very fresh. The dressing was superb! What a tasty meal. I will be back!“

The housemade focaccia deserves a special mention: airy, perfectly seasoned, and quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. For the main course, I enjoyed the bucatini all’amatriciana. The pasta was clearly house-made, cooked to perfection, and the sauce had that authentic depth of flavor that only true Southern Italian cooking delivers. We finished with an affogato, which was the ideal ending—simple, rich, and satisfying. Monzu offers authentic Southern Italian fare with genuine hospitality, and everything we tried reflected both freshness and craftsmanship. “Are great! Empanadas are some of my favourite food they had good variety. Very good flavour they were all family recipes. Small family owned business which I like. I will be going back to try more. The empanadas are reasonably priced and you can easily eat two to three of them. They had a great salsa. The green salsa is thick and chunky a mild level and very good. The red salsa is a medium spiciness and thin and tasty. I kind of wished for an additional spice level to add some more heat. Today they should get 5 out of 5 stars service. But we did come last night and we were a few minutes before closing and they were closing up so they didn't want to take our orders. So just make sure you get there well before 8:00 p.m.“

“Awesome deli! We stayed at hotel by here and they gave voucher for each night of our stay. Honestly, we don’t usually use these incentives, because I’m not a breakfast person. My husband used it the first morning for breakfast sandwich. He raved about how delicious the sandwich was and it looked great. We’ve been back the 2nd & 3rd days to have lunch each time. They have an extensive menu and everything we’ve had has been delicious. Sandwiches are on delicious bread and with plenty of meat and cheese. Highly recommend this place for food choice, quality, and great friendly service!!!“

“First time here with my family looked for a good pizza place and found this place on Google Maps. I went ahead and decided to eat here. I ordered pizza slices, the wings and the pasta Alfredo which were all hits. I loved this place and if I’m ever back in San Diego will visit. My flowed and kids loved the pizza too. “Chris and Israel are the best! They are very attentive and efficient. Downtown is so busy and hectic that it's nice to have a place for breakfast , lunch and snacking. It's affordable, fulfilling clean and has outdoor seating as well. The Lentil Soup tastes like love in a cup. I look forward to coming back and getting my usual 🤗“

“I love this restaurant the staff are wonderful the food is delicious and healthy. I would eat here much more often but the music is so loud you cannot have a conversation. I've asked them to turn it down many times and the staff says they have no control. They also said that 90% of the customers mention the same thing and they feel like it's too loud. Owner, turn down the music and I will come often“

Update: I tried the Garibaldi Bagel and it was so delicious, very filling. I was even like skeptical because I wasn't sure how I would like it but for some reason I just knew like when I read the ingredients that maybe it could hit and boy did it! So good, I love the flavors of this place.“

The food is absolutely delicious everytime! The wait staff are exceptional also, so you'll want to give a good gratuity!
