“Koobideh meal is delicious just how I cook at home. Tahchin has cardamom in it which I'm not used to, but it is still good. The ghormeh sabzi is good but lacking some lemon flavor for me. Ask for extra Omani lemon/lime to squeeze into the stew. House doogh was very good. Owner Reza is very nice and friendly. Overall a good experience. No restroom on premesis.“

“Came to Carousel with a party of 9. Our table was waiting on arrival and the staff was fantastic especially given our time constraints. We let them know we had to be out the door in 90 minutes for a show and they ensured we were fed a feast with time to spare. We did the family style - Hollywood Feast which was a lot of fun. The Hollywood Feast will leave you with days of leftovers which we are now enjoying. Would recommend family style for large groups. All the food was great, everyone agreed the chicken stood out as superb, very juicy and tender. Definitely coming back.“

I've never been anywhere in Los Angeles that had better kofta, their pita hummus and falafel are also excellent.

“Wow. I just put my fork in to pull some chicken meat off and it was so tender the bone popped right out (even though it wasn’t my intent) and came off 100% clean. Unreal.. reminds me of the food back home. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu including the fried eggplant vegan sandwich. We got the lemon chicken, falafel, and fried cauliflower, which is more like a cauliflower steak than florets. Delicious but just an fyi.“

“The breakfast / brunch menu has a good concept and good options. The merguez sandwich was good, but too oily. The fries were done well but too salty.

I wish they cooked the food with less oil and salt. Maybe I'll request that if I stop by to eat there again.“

“One of the first places I tried in DTLA, Dune is a great spot for vegan mediterranean food and I finally made it in person (I was ordering on doordash prior). We were greeted by a gorgeous young girl with beautiful energy to welcome us in - wish I got her name. The food (as expected) was even better in person! As a holistic vegan who loves her body, this place is great because of the selection of whole, body-loving foods. No ‘vegan’ fake, processed meat or junk. Just the way I like it. The space is tiny, yet cozy and inviting. The food was delicious, fulfilling and perfect for lunch. Thank you Dune DTLA!

Which the Permited kitchen actually is the chefs home adding the extra layer of hospitality, unlike anything else . The from Scratch Dinner experience offered a variety of different cultural foods from Palestine, Summer shared stories with us about her culture , history, and her upbringing. Making the Food so much more special, knowing that is made with love and it's her form of resistance against oppression that she offers to the world . 20% of the proceeds are donated to Palestinian families, who are experiencing extreme hardships due to the Ongoing G3n!cide in Her Homeland. We ordered the falafel, chicken, and hummus and everything was incredible. The falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the chicken was flavorful and well seasoned, and the hummus was fresh, smooth, and honestly some of the best I’ve had.

You can tell the ingredients are high quality and everything is made with care. Simple food done right.
