“Delicious fish and chips made fresh per order. I ordered the original fish and chips which came with 2 large pieces of cod fish with crispy hot beer batter that came with seasoned fries. They are not stingy with their portions and got really full with this order. The people working there are so friendly; excellent service! $15 for my order; worth it for the portion and deliciousness!“

“First timer here. The food was good. The fish was fried to perfection, and the portiin size was great. The fish was larger than I had anticipated. The fries were OK ( only because the fish was put on top of it so by the time I went to eat the fries, they were soggy from the Fish). The Cole slaw was delicious.
My kids ordered the chicken strip and I liked that it was battered and fried exactly like thr Fish. Loved the crunch. My only complaint is that it taste like it was fried in the same oil as the fish so the kids said their chicken taste like fish.
The restaurant was not well ventilated. The AC was cranked (I'm assuming for the cooks since I can only imagine that the fryers would get very hot). Unfortunately because the AC was blasting....as a patron, it felt REALLY COLD.
Also, i wish they had a way to vent out the fried food smell. The fried fish smell is very strong when you first step into the restaurant. Obviously over time, you get used to the smell but if they can figure out a good way to air out the place, that would be great.
The guy cooking was extremely fast and efficient..he was the only worker in there and he was knocking out orders left and right.
I would eat here again for sure.
If you are looking for Fish and Chips ... I would definitely give this place a try .

Vegetarian options: I THINK (i don't know for sure) that they fry their onion rings, French fries, and zucchinis in the same oil as their fish,other seafood and chicken so I'm not sure how "vegetarian" that would be.

“This place is the real deal. Easily one of the best fish and chips I've had in Orange County if not the best so far. You might convince yourself the near $30 price tag at places like santa monica seafood would give you better fish and chips but it's not the case. the batter here is crispy and much more delicate. not heavy and greasy like the beer battered options. I paid $12 for 3 giant pieces of fish. the value is fantastic and the quality is good. only complaints are that the inside can use a thorough dusting (don't look at the fan) and that the fries have potential to be a lot better. tbh if the fries resembled something closer to European chips I would pay another $10 for this plate happily.“

“The food looked very good but I felt the shrimp lacked flavor, to me they needed more seasoning. The tortillas fell apart which was disappointing. The guacamole was very good and the chips were some of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The service was awesome and friendly and the restaurant was clean and welcoming.“

“We were hungry and this was close with a good review. Come here if you are looking for something different than the regular Mexican fare. Pretty much everything on the menu is a unique blend of flavors. They feature three different mole sauces which were all good. I had the trabajo with my dish which had delicious flavor. So if you are looking for an adventure it's a good pick.“

“The selection of food was good and prices were excellent for sea food. We had the fish and chips, the portions were good, the only complaint I had was my fish was a little over cooked, the wife's was perfect. They serve a tropical cold slaw that was bomb. The service was super fast but they weren't very busy also. It's a real casual place and the deco really relaxes a person Hawaii, surfer type with large screen tvs playing some great surfing videos of guys shooting the tube and riding MONSTER waves. All in all a real good place to eat sea food for a fare price.“

“Used to enjoy coming here but recently there food has been declining. Chicken used to taste like it was actually grilled and would be very favorable. Now its taste frozen and has this wierd after taste. Their rice is a bit to chewy.Update* Huge improvement since last time I came. Which ever cook you have now, keep him. Food was amazing once again. “I recently stopped by here to grab lunch and I was surprised with the quality of food and everything else. I haven’t dined here in years and I used to love CFG it has always been my favorite healthy casual food that doesn’t break the bank. However, in the recent years I noticed the quality of food dropped significantly so I stopped going there but now I hope they keep it this way. Service is good but more communication is needed and perhaps more employees as they seemed to be short staffed.“
