“First time dining here! We had dinner on a Wednesday evening, and the place was quite packed. Luckily a reservation through Yelp beforehand helped us get a table not long after we arrived. We ordered: - Rib Bone Pho - Short Rib Pho - Fillet Mignon Lomo Saltado - Chicken Nugget Basket For me, the star of the show was their aji verde aioli that came with the Lomo Saltado. Service was good too despite the crowd. Only thing I would note is that, it would be nice if the restaurant offers limes instead of lemons, and Thai bird chilli instead of jalapeño to be served with the pho. Regardless, they made the flavour work with what they have. Will come back for more!“
“This place is popular but I was able to show up and get seated without a reservation. It was a 10-20 minute wait on a Friday evening. I thought this place was going to be overhyped but in my opinion, it lived up to the hype! Our server was amazing, he was knowledgeable and had amazing recommendations based on our taste. I ordered the "Saltado" Shaken Fries and it was soo delicious! the meat was tender and the aji sauce was incredible and complemented the food. The ambiance was great and lively, definitely a nice spot to go with friends or a date :)“
“Delicious food! Been looking for an authentic Peruvian place and haven’t had luck until I found this hidden gem!! Everything was so fresh and tasty. Cheviche mixto was amazing and the Anticuchos were so tasty!!! The inside of the restaurant it’s so much nicer than you could imagine from the outside and the service was very good, very nice staff.“
“This is a Peruvian restaurant with passion and execution. It merits a Michelin Bib Gourmand! The food is nothing short of astounding! This is from a New Yorker who has spent time in Peru and loves that cuisine. They have really recreated true Peruvian dishes with just the right mix of spices and really fresh fish and seafood. I could have been dining at a fine restaurant in Cuzco!! The Branzino scallop clam and shrimp mage with jasmine rice and spicy cilantro tomato broth was otherworldly! And the classic ceviche was just that, classic. The Barman was a genius with the Pisco Sour and the wines by the glass were good accompaniments to the food. My hope is that with more people discovering Costa, it may find a somewhat larger spot, and expand the wine by the glass choices. But I haven't had a more authentic and brilliantly prepared Peruvian meal outside the Sacred Valley!! A must go!!“
“This joint is serving up real ingredients prepared like that Peruvian uncle I never had. I was impressed by the actual hand cut yucca vs some other joints precut yucca. That green sauce is obviously made in house and done right. The ceviche isn’t the prettiest I’ve eaten, but ranks high in the yum factor. Definitely a restaurant worth another visit.“
“This is a perfect example of casual, but delicious Peruvian food! I had the pollo a la brasa and my wife had the lomo saltado. We loved both of our dishes! Everything was cooked perfectly. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The green sauce was just the right amount of spicy and herbaceous.Since there aren't a ton of Peruvian places in SoCal, I would say Senor Pollo is definitely worth a small trip to check out. When I'm craving pollo a la brasa this is going to be my spot, even though it's about an hour drive. It's worth it for me.“
“Pollo Loco ain't got nothing on this ! (I still love you pollo loco) but man this place was good ! I came here with the family for my brother's birthday, and we were all skeptical at first. The menu wasn't very large and the prices were definitely on the higher side for this type of restaurant, but we were hungry and decided to order anyways. I got there Lomo Stack and it was soooo good ! The sandwich or torta (not sure exactly what it was) was probably one of the best I've ever had. Everything from the flavor to the texture was spot on ! I also had some of there chicken legs and thighs and it was all very juicy and flavorful! I'm glad I was able to try this place. Although I don't see myself spending $17 on a sandwich very often, I can't wait for the next time I stop by this place. If you're in the South Coast area this is a MUST TRY!“
“They did not have Peruvian Options which were seen online on their menu. There wasn't any Leche de Tigre or any Ceviches. Do not trust the Menu. Call ahead. Edit: the food is really good coming from a Latino with vast taste in Latino culture food. The flavors are strong but not overwhelming. The empanadas are pretty good. They have chicken and meat and even shrimp. The lomo saltado is pretty good. It doesn't have the smoked flavor but it is still pretty well made. Their niche is the comercial area of civic center in Santa Ana so don't come here expecting rich flavors. Expect pretty good prices and good food.“
“I recently dined here and I must say, the experience was truly exceptional, thanks in large part to the amazing bartender, Krystal. From the moment I sat down at the bar, I was greeted with a warm smile and impeccable service. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable about the extensive drink menu, but she also took the time to recommend a few signature cocktails that suited my taste preferences. Each drink was expertly crafted and very delicious. She went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor made me feel welcome and valued as a customer.Overall, my visit was made memorable by the exceptional service provided by their talented bartender. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for not only delicious food but also an unforgettable dining experience. I will definitely be returning soon to enjoy more of their delightful cocktails and hospitality.“
“We just moved to the area and we tried to get a table at a couple other restaurants in the same complex and stumbled upon inka mama! After being seated, our waitress suggested wonderful, food selections that we absolutely loved and great drinks. Overall, it was a great experience. This will be a great date night spot for us!!!“
“Did you know Peruvian food is popular because Peruvian dishes can be so diverse, with so many ingredients to choose from. I've been coming to Inka Grill one or two times a month I've tried mostly everything. The location of Inka Grill is 23600 Rockfield Blvd, Lake forest ,CA 92630. Inka Grill is a Peruvian cuisine restaurant that claims that 99% percent of their ingredients are fresh. It's surprising to me that they have been open for twenty eight years and even survived a pandemic which shut a lot of restaurants down.It was founded in 1996. It's a family owned restaurant inspired by her Grandmother’s cooking back in Peru. The first items visible when entering are some old antiques like cooking ware, old plates and designs on the walls. The first thing you hear from entering people just having conversations and the workers cooking at the back of the restaurants. When getting there the first thing you smell is the chiefs cooking food or the food the people are eating when getting seated you get a smell of buttered bread at your seat with this green sauce but be careful with its because it might look harmless but it has a good kick to it! My experience upon arriving was nothing crazy, just a regular entrance with a little bit of seating outside so don’t expect a crazy entrance. The typical customers that I saw when I went were mostly Latins and a little Peruvians. They were super calm and super nice. The ambiance is very positive and everybody that enters has a positive vibe when walking in the restaurant. Inka grill is worth a try when you have time to go to a restaurant. For example. The food item Inka Grill is most known for is their ceviche. There ceviche is a small dish that has marinated fish with this tangy spicy lime juice with just the right amount of crushed garlic to not overpower the dish with some perfect looking cilantro and perfectly cut onion.Another food item that I bought was Aji De Gallina. It has shredded chicken in a tangy Peruvian curry sauce served with perfectly cut potatoes and well cooked rice sprinkled with cheese. In my opinion it's something worth a try if you are going to try it for the first time and if you like more simple food. Another menu item is a drink called Maracuya. Maracuya Is a type of passion fruit drink that is sweet but not too sweet. It is also worth a try if you like passion fruit if you don't. I suggest getting a fountain drink.another menu item is a dessert called juanitas crepes. Juanitas crepes is a homemade french style crepes that are really warm andsoft filled with sweet dulce de leche served with there nicely fried plantains(bananas) and has a piece of cold ice cream that gets melted by the warm crepes. The restaurant is different from the others because it sells a diverse food you don’t see everyday in different restaurants around Orange County. The reason why i think it's so special is because its a fusion of local and international flavors.Inka Grill is a good restaurant to try because it has a lot of options to try and different menu items that most restaurants don't have. Inka grill is a good Peruvian cuisine restaurant that is all homemade and made by great workers. Inka grill is a place you won't find everywhere around Orange County, Buen Apetito!“
“Atmosphere is nice. Inside dining and outside. Service was good. They're very kind and amazing here. I've had there lomo Saltado and pariuella in the past. Both fire. Today tried something new. The Peruvian paella was soooo fire. Also my wife had the pollo saltado that she said was great as well. Thanks Inkas....“
